Also known as Disney's biggest competitor in the 80's. XD
Though I love everything Disney and want to work for the company one day, Don Bluth is also a big inspirational figure to me. He draws some of the most amazing, fluid animation I've seen, and his films are all really clever and arguably Darker and Edgier than a lot of Disney films (even though it's kind of Disney's purpose to be lighthearted... you know what I mean XD). My favorite film from him is DEFINITELY An American Tail. It's one of my top favorites. Though Secret of NIMH comes in close second, and Land Before Time in third.
So, what do you guys think of Bluth and his films?

An american tail was by far my favorite, but i did love the Land before time, until they made like 50 of them. As much as i love Disney more there was something about American Tail that made me feel really close to my childhood

AGREED. American Tail is a big staple of my childhood, right up there with The Lion King and 101 Dalmatians. ...And I think that's why I have a primal fear of being separated from my parents. XDDDDD

This is funny but.. I've only seen American Tail a couple times when CN used to show it on TV XD and I didn't really care it for it that much. But Land Before time and NIMH.. awesome films

^How I feel about All Dogs Go to Heaven. XD I've only watched it once or twice, and I liked it but... idk.
*brofist*
I've only watched one LBT sequel (the second one), and that's the only one I really like. The rest fo them... eh. They get stupider the more they make. There shouldn't eb any more coming out, though. Thank goodness.

"All Dogs Go To Heaven" and "Anastasia' for me. XD I like Land Before Time as well but then there are some of his I completely hate. ^^; Like "A Troll In Central Park". One by him I really REALLY wanna see but never have is "The Secret of Nimh".

Dude I forgot about Anastasia. :U I love that one too. And, about Secret of NIMH 2... I... kind of like it a bit, but it's still really sucky. The only part I really like is Jenny. XD She's awesome. I've never watched A Troll in central Park, but I have seen NC's reveiw. Is it as bad as it looks?

Anastasia, Land Before Time, All Dogs Go To Heaven, and Rock-a-Doodle are my favorite Don Bluth movies. I know, I know, Rock-a-Doodle is a very silly movie but I've always had a soft spot for it. Anastasia is probably my most favorite, though. c: As for A Troll in Central Park, I've only seen it once and... honestly, I don't remember that much of it.

...I've never seen any of them. Then again, I'd hardly seen any Disney films until three years ago either, so... Take that as you will

I've probably seen a lot of his movies and didn't realize he made them.
But I really love An American Tail, for several reasons.
Oh, but the first Land Before Time IS my favorite. I was obsessed with that fandom for a LONG time in the early years of my life. I've still got plush toys and had the Burger King toys and have seen movies one through five I don't even know how many times <3 And the song "If we hold on forever" will ALWAYS have a very special place in my heart, because of that film <3

I'm a disgrace and had a sheltered childhood because I've almost NEVER seen a film of his. XD
Well, that's not necessarily true. I've watched most of All Dogs Go To Heaven last year during Easter or Thanksgiving or something like that at my grandparents' house, I watched the ending of Secret of NIMH, and I remember once, loooong ago we watched Land Before Time way back during the summer I was going into 3rd grade (I think >>) as a fall-back activity during our summer camp thing because of rain and I couldn't follow it at all.
I suck, man. But Sapphire's seen Anastasia full-through. XD

I'm actually SURPRISED that my family or my Hebrew school has never played us An American Tale, considering that I'm Jewish myself and it's a perfectly good movie. X3
