Yes, I have already grown rather attached to April, and I am a bit sad that I have to eventually kill her off. But anyway, as much as I love RENT, I did not like the way they portrayed April as a coward who committed suicide simply because she couldn't live with the fact that she had AIDS. That's why I made puppy April different.


April liked knowing that she was in charge of herself, that she made her own decisions and controlled what happened to her. She was a bit spoiled in that she got away with a lot of things in some cases, and she did a lot of whatever she wanted. She was pretty accepting to the fact that whatever disease she had would eventually kill her, but she could handle that and she would've continued to live life as she normally did. But when she was told that they were planning to put her down, that did not sit well with her. At all. April knew that she would eventually die, but she wasn't okay with some guy being in charge of her life. Now, she isn't the type to start wallowing in self pity and complain about how life isn't fair, she had so much live for, yadda yadda. But she didn't feel like it was fair that they thought they could decide how her life would end. Ultimately, what lead to her final decision was the fact that she wanted to be in charge of her fate. The disease would eventually kill her, or the vet would put her down...she didn't like either of those options, really. If there really was nothing she could do, nothing at all, then she at least wanted to die knowing that she had a choice in the matter, that this is what she decided, no one else. And that was what drove April to committing suicide.

I remembered that there was a scene with a piano from Oliver and Company and The Aristocats, so I wanted to do this. I've never done a manip before of any kind, but I tried. Haha, this was the only shot of Marie that I liked, but it was impossible to have her actually stand on the piano. XP Also, I know that there's a thing for manips on the forum, but this is only one manip, so if I ever do more, I'll open a thread. I dunno if I'll do more, tho. :U
