She was too busy with Flash and the other pups that came from that other dog that was not their father. Prince’s ears pinned back. He growled low. The leader of the group, Prince spoke first and always had the final word. Geno and Scamp did what he said. Scamp didn’t much care for it and Geno was too dim to really fight him on anything.
“No way.”
“Why not, Prince?” Pepper asked, the smile still on her young face, “Mom would love to come to the watering hole with us and play! Why can’t we ask her, huh?”
“Pepper, why are you so stupid?” Prince growled, “Get real, Mom doesn’t care about us.” Pepper’s ears pinned back as she frowned, giving her brother an angry look as the brothers started off again. Pepper leapt in front of the boys. Tears stood at her delicate blue eyes.
“Mom does care! She does!” She barked, “Mom cares just as much as Dad does!”
“If she did then we wouldn’t have half brothers and sisters!” Prince growled. He was a big pup, towering over Pepper. “Just face it, Pepper, Mom doesn’t give two craps about us.”

I had contemplated dragging myself there a third time to finish it, and maybe start fresh with just Georgette and Remy or some combination like that, but I can't bear to part with my other chars and I have no time to go on. xD
