(Everyone who knows me from DWoW knows that I love to write so I present you all with my fanfictions!) Becoming Tyler Snow. That was the only concrete memory Tyler had from when he was a young pup. He didn't know anything other than snow. Not his parents…or where he was from…not even his real name. Just snow and lots of it. The only concrete memory Tyler had was when he first met Buster. He was young, really young, and very very desperate. Trying to steal some food from a dog three or four times your size and get away with it was impossible. Tyler was too hungry to care about what was and wasn't possible at that point. Of course it ended up with Tyler getting caught. He was sure he was going to end up getting killed, he closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable blow but none came, instead he heard a laugh. The dog, Buster, was laughing at him and then declared that he had 'guts', which meant nothing to the starving pup at that moment. Buster gave him a little of the food and then he was left alone once more. Of course, after that he met Juliette. The most beautiful dog he had ever set his eyes on. She was the reason he was allowed to join the Junkyard Dogs in the first place, although he suspected that Buster might have recognised him, because of their friendship. Yet sometimes, when he lay down to sleep in the Junkyard he'd have an eerily familiar dream. Snow. Everywhere. The ground was completely covered in a thick layer of snow. Tyler sat at the window of a house wishing he could go out and play in it. He loved the snow. It was probably a good thing that Alaska was full of it in winter.
Tyler whined, impatient to get outside and play in it, and pawed at the window desperately. One of his humans would soon let him out! His siblings were all sleeping beside him and so were oblivious to the gently falling flakes outside the window.
"Calm down,----. The human can't let you out. We'll all be home in Alaska before you know it." A husky, Demon his mind substituted, said. Tyler took no heed of Demon's words and continued to whine and paw at the window to be let out.
"But I wanna go now, dad!" he begged.
"I'm sorry, son, but we can't go out just now." Demon said, his voice held a note of finality. Tyler glowered at him and gave the snow one last longing look before padding away. Why didn't the humans want him outside? They let him and his siblings run about outside normally…why not today? They were supposed to be having fun!
He made his way into the kitchen and saw that the back door was open. Not believing his luck he quickly scampered over and peeked out to see his humans loading their car for their return trip to Alaska. A smile formed on Tyler's muzzle and he quickly slipped out the gap and charged off into the snow.
Tyler could not believe his good luck and spent a lot of time playing and rolling around in the snow, all he needed was his siblings and it would be perfect.
Then a horrible sound jolted him out of his euphoria. The sound of a car engine starting. Tyler's paws quickly carried him to the front of the house and saw the car driving away with his family and leaving him. He knew he had no chance of catching up with the vehicle but he ran after it barking at the top of his lungs. They didn't hear him because they didn't stop.
Tyler was left alone in the snow.Tyler awoke with a jolt and realized he was crying in his sleep, he covered his muzzle and wept bitterly because he knew no one would hear or see him. He had a family, he didn't remember much about them but he knew that somewhere he had a family…a family who were probably missing him or wondering where he was. So Tyler wept, for the family he hardly knew.

The End Heya Juliette...how are you? Um...I'd like to tell you something. Um...you're my best friend and everything and...uh...when I'm around you...everything's well perfect and you're the most beautiful girl I've ever known. What I'm trying to say is...Juliette...I love you. I've always loved you and I always will...there! Perfect!A smile spread across Tyler's muzzle as he finally figured out what to say. He'd been pacing around the Junkyard, deep in thought, for the best part of an hour trying to think of a good way to tell Juliette that he loved her. Today would be the day that he finally grew a backbone and told Juliette his feelings. He loved her. She was perfect in his eyes and he liked to think that she liked him too. They'd been friends nearly their whole lives. The collie-cross raced from the Junkyard, he hadn't seen Juliette all day and she'd been spending less time with him recently. No one seemed to know where she was or what she was up to but Tyler didn't care. He would find her and make his feelings known. She couldn't be too far away. "Juliette?" he called peering down alleyways "Juliette!" He made his way down the side streets towards the park, getting a bit worried, his friend need ventured this far away without anyone knowing where she was. She'd never let people worry like this. He moved through the underbush, keeping on the alert for his friend/love until he finally hear her laughter. Curiousity mixed with relief at finding her and he made his way in the direction the noise had come from. Only what he found made him stop dead. There was Juliette, his Juliette, sitting with the one dog he'd never expected her to be with. Romeo. She was laughing at something he'd said and it made Tyler's blood boil. Why was she with him? Their families hated each other! He hated Romeo! Why would she be consorting with the enemy? Then Romeo leant towards her and liked her cheek. That was the final straw. Tyler's heart shattered and rage clouded his judgement. Tyler burst from the bushes with a bark of fury and rammed himself into Romeo. Dalmatian and collie rolled across the grass, Tyler was intent on beating the life out of Romeo. Juliette screamed for him to stop but he ignored her pleas, Romeo had stolen her and Tyler was going to make him regret that. Then something connected with Tyler's head, knocking him off Romeo and to the ground. He stared up at Juliette, his mitch-matched eyes filled with both confusion and hurt. Then, out of the corner of his eyes be saw Romeo escaping the park and, without a second thought, Tyler got to his feet and pursued. Tyler tore through the streets after Romeo, slowly closing the gap, intent on killing the Dalmatian. Juliette couldn't love him! He loved Juliette! She was supposed to be with him! Romeo hurtled across the main street with Tyler, followed by Juliette, in hot pursuit. Tyler ran across the road after him and when he was half-way across the street Juliette's voice reached his ears. "Tyler! Watch out!" It was too late. Tyler was struck by the car, which swerved but otherwise kept going, making Tyler fly several feet and land with a sickening crunch on his side. In an instant Juliette was at his side, Tyler opened his eyes and saw her peering tearfully down at him. "Juli--" he hissed in pain before he could finish her name. He coughed violently and blood trickled down his chin "Juliette." "Why Tyler? Why did you do that?" Juliette asked tearfully. "I love you." His sentence came out on a breath "Always." He gave Juliette a weak smile before the pain became too much and he shut his eyes. He didn't wake.

(This story focuses on my Harry Potter OC, Shauna Longbottom. It focuses more on her mindset and her background story to try and explain why she is the way she is in my stories.)Unbreakable Asthenophobia: Fear of weaknessShe wasn't a weak person, she liked to believe that she was tough, strong, unbreakable because in a world where only the strong survived that was what you had to be. Strong. Weakness wasn't tolerated, it was eradicated wherever it was found, so you had to be strong. Shauna couldn't be weak. A lesson she had learnt when she was only eight. For an eight-year-old the concepts of 'strong' and 'weak' were difficult to grasp. Strong was what a building was, how could people be like buildings? People could be pushed over and be injured very easily so how could they truly be considered 'strong'? Yet, when that escaped Death Eater began destroying Diagon Alley and murdering innocent people, Shauna ran. She took her little sister, Eleanor, and ran. They were hailed with debris from explosions and splattered with blood but Shauna kept running, because she was too weak to fight. An explosion blew her and Eleanor through a window and into a shop. She hit against post and lay helpless on the floor as the man, no monster, approached them. Shauna remembered the terror as he pointed his wand at her sobbing sister, a flash of green and then death. Eleanor was weak and so she died. Then his want went to her. He tortured her and laughed as she cried and screamed. Then the Aurors arrived and her father. The Death Eater escaped but not before giving her a sadistic grin to let her know. I'll be back for you. Shauna survived the attack, one of the few people who did, but that day changed her. She didn't want to be weak anymore. Weakness was what killed her sister, if she had beern stronger she could have protected her and maybe she would have survived as well. Shauna made sure she would never be 'weak' again. She fought, she became stronger. When her brother pushed her, she would push back twice as hard. When she was challenged to a duel she would fight back with everything she had. Only the strong survived. She was strong. She was unbreakable. Yet when she was thrown headfirst into a situation she had no experience at all with, she didn't know what to do, nevermind what to think. But in the end, she fought and she won, she proved to the Wizarding World that she was strong. With Albus, Rose, Scorlius, Keith and Alice she proved that she wasn't weak. She was stronger than anyone ever thought. She fought against dark wizards with ancient magic, she fought against otherwordly forces and she fought against Voldemort back from the grave. In the end she fought and they won.

Love Is Blind Jia never expected much to happen to her. She was the youngest child, the least remarkable of the three cubs and she was unable to fend for herself. She was damaged. Blind. Her siblings were free to do as they please but she was not. She was a helpless cub who needed protection from the world. That was until she met him. Enzi arrived in her life like a violent storm. He was bold and brave and came crashing into her dark world. Their first meeting had her terrified and then, before she could comprehend what was happening, he wanted to protect her too. Be her best friend. Her guardian angel. That being said, Enzi was never the one to coddle her like her parents and Kala did. He challenged her to push herself beyond her self-imposed limits. He didn't accept 'no' or 'I can't', they were alien to him. He made her realize that she could be something more than 'the quiet one' and that she could live just as full a life as Chaka and Kala could. He was her opposite, the yang to her yin, the hot to her cold and she wouldn't have it any other way. It wasn't long before she felt herself falling for him. She was hitting her teenage years before she acknowledged her affection had grown from mere friendship. Before that Enzi was her best friend whom she knew she could count on for anything. Then something changed. She didn't know when or how but soon she found herself more flustered than usual when he spoke to her and sought out his affection more readily. Yet it was all in vain. He had feelings for another. From what Enzi had told her she could deduce that she was their age, slightly younger by about two or three months and apparently very pretty but crucially...she had a pair of fully functional eyes. Something Jia knew she had no hope of competing with. She had no hope of matching Asali, that was her name, yet she continued to try nonethless. So Jia discovered that love was not only as blind as she was, but it was also deaf, dumb and completely stupid. She didn't know if Enzi knew or not, although she always suspected he did and was too replused by the idea of her having romantic feelings for him to say anything about it. Yet one day she decided to work up the courage to declare her feelings. Enzi tried to let her down gently but he knew there was no way in which he could do it without breaking her heart. Jia put on a brave face but broke inside. At that moment she decided love hurt more than anything in the world.

(Really don't know what inspired me to do this but ah well. On with the fic!)Blood Blood. It was everywhere. The dark red substance smeared across the ground and Emily herself. It was her's. All her's. She was surprised at just how much had already leaked from her body.
She lay curled into a foetal position. It hurt to move...to think...to breathe. A whimper escaped her lips as another wave of pain passed over her. She was broken. She couldn't move without blinding agony.
Where was James?
The question emerged from nowhere. The agony was temporarily replaced with an urgent need to know about her companion. Where was he? Was he alright? What had happened to him?
Was he coming for her?
The pain returned with a painful kick. She had to move. Blood was pouring from the deep open gashes on her back. Even the cool air hitting her brought with it an agony she never knew and wished to never feel again.
One arm shifted, stretching out and putting weight on the ground. The other soon followed. She was biting her lip hard to stop herself from yelling out. Soon she tasted blood.
Her legs were next. One shifted and then the other. Soon she was in a semi-crouching position and it took all her remaining strength to push herself up and onto her feet.
A wave of dizzyness threatened to depoist her back in the bloodsoaked floor, her bleeding back first. It took her a few moments for her head to stop spinning and even then it was only a marginal improvement.
"J-James?" her voice was a hoarse rasp.
He's not coming. A voice replied.
"H-He'll come." Emily stated "H-He p-promised."
He will not come. He's gone. He will not come.
Gone? "W-What are you talking about? W-What's h-happened? W-What did you do to him?" No reponse. A sudden blinding pain on her back brought her to her knees with a piercing scream. She could feel blood running down her back. The agony was unbearable. Foolish child, he is not coming. Your friend has abandoned you. Now you will feelthe true meaning of pain. The last thing Emily managed before she slipped into darkness was a mental scream, as loud and piercing as her vocal one had been. JAMES![/i] Emily awoke with a start. Her breathing was eratoc and a cold sweat had formed on her forehead. Brown hair hung in curtains around her face, her skin was pale white in the moonlight. In a split second, she moved. Her top was ripped off to expose the skin of her back. Delicately, because she didn't know what she would find, her fingers traced over the expanse of skin. Not a mark or a wound...not even the raised skin of a scar. She happened to glance herself in a mirror and let out a shuddering breath of relief. Just a dream. All just a dream. Then why did the pain feel so real?

Darkness Before Dawn A knot twisted deep in the pit of Emily's stomach. Dread. A dread like she'd never felt before. She didn't know why she felt like this or what had brought it on. Something's going to happen...something terrible. her mind spoke to her. She squeezed her eyes shut at the thought. Nothing's going to happen. she chided herself, opening her eyes once more You're being pessimistic...paranoid. Yes, that's it, you're just paranoid. There's nothing out there. Everyone is safe. You are safe. Her clear grey eyes stared out of her bedroom window at the rising sun but her thoughts were elsewhere. Lately...she'd been getting more and more unsettling thoughts. Nightmares filled with pain and loss plagued her. She had woken James a couple of times with thoughts that were like screams. What was going on? Something was wrong. Something was going to happen...she could feel it. She steadied herself slightly against the window pane, her forehead resting against the cool glass. Why now? Why was she only starting to feel like this now? Surely, if something were truly wrong, she would have felt it much earlier. She'd been living a good six months in this universe...if anything was going to go wrong then it would have by this point. She was scared. Scared of what could happen, what was happening. Even thoughthis universe seemed to be the origin of the universe's cracks...there were very little in the actual universe. The eye of the storm perhaps? Emily turned her back to the window and wrapped her arms around herself in a kind of self hug. She tried to push all thoughts of impending doom from her mind and untwist the series of knots that seemed to have taken up residence in her stomach. Everything was fine. Nothing was wrong. She was just imagining it. Yet everything is always darkest before the dawn.
