Ace was frowning. These pups were listening to each other but not to him? It screamed disrespect to him. He always thought younger pups were supposed to listen to their elders. "...Right. That's what I said."
He supposed it was just because he was so gentle and soft-spoken. No-one seemed to be taking him seriously. "That's enough."

Maureen stayed several paces behind Mimi, watching with excitment, nodding, and rolling her eyes every so often, as if to agree with what her sister was saying. When Ace came around, she didn't really back up. Immideiatley she checked him out and winked at him, grinning.
Lana, however, nodded at what Trigger had said. "Aye, the fightin's pointless. There's no reason ta argue. We've got ta stick tagether if we wan'na make it out alive!"
