Hope this is allowed - it's not exactly a fanfiction or anything - but I've finally worked out how all the little story bits I've had about Lucky and his afair with Cadpig; Penny and her relationship with Rebecca; and the origin of my should-be-impossible healthy pups from each pairing fit together in my AU, and I wanted to post it somewhere. By the time most of this happens, Penny and Patches are now a couple. Penny and Rebecca - both being bisexual - developed feelings for each other not long after the latter's arrival on the farm, lost, confused, and almost angry at Lucky, feeling as though he'd tricked her into getting left behind. As on DWoW, Penny almost instictively took on the role of Rebecca's protector, and to both girls' shock - and in Rebecca's case, dismay; such a thing was far from acceptable in her time period - they began to fall in love. Both girls, however, realised that it was an impossible romance, and to lessen their discomfort on the matter, Penny chose to purposely focus on her similar, if somewhat weaker, feelings for Patches, and as soon as they were old enough, the two begame a couple and mated (making Prima one of the eldest next-gens on the farm). Rebecca, however, remained single. At this point, Cadpig and Tripod are already an item, but they haven't mated yet, and Lucky has a huge crush on his youngest sister, despite the fact that she'd already with his rival, and would be off-limits anyway, as far as he was concerned. Seeking a way to get Cadpig to mate with him, he takes her somewhere special (Rolly being off with Danielle, whose family have just moved to the farm). Cadpig also invites Rebecca along, secretly thinking to pair her and Lucky, and Penny comes too, since she hasn't had much time to spend with Rebecca since Prima's birth. Meanwhile, Cruella's lust for a dalmatian fur coat has been restored, but with all the pups she once captured now adults - and thus, their fur too coarse for her liking - and unable to get close enough to the farm to pinch any of their own pups without raising suspicions, she calls in her cousin P.H. again, to clone her a set of new puppies for her coat. P.H. sends Horace and Jasper to steal enough dalmatian DNA for him to start work - not much immediately, because not even he is entirely sure he can achieve this. Jasper and Horace, of course, stumble across Lucky's little outing, and after a struggle, succeed in taking samples of all four canines' DNA. Shortly after, angst strikes the Dearly Farm. Penny is hit by a car and dies, leaving a distraught Patches alone with their about eight-(canine-)year-old daughter and a brokenhearted Rebecca. On top of this, Lucky has mated with Cadpig - I don't want to say 'rape', but there certainly would have had to be some sort of coercian involved - and she gives birth to a deformed pup who dies shortly after birth, unintentionally neglected in the heat of the adults' conflict (as imagined by Bri; see here: the101stdalmatian.deviantart.com/favourites/43994335?offset=48#/d3kk2ao), leaving Cadpig's trust in him shattered beyond repair, Tripod's trust in his mate stretched to breaking point, and the whole farm disgusted with the horseshoe-marked canine's behaviour. Knocked brutally to his senses by his son's deformed and dead body, and horribly ashamed of himself, Lucky starts to avoid his family altogether, at one point even resuming his old habbit of infiltrating Villa De Vil just to keep away from them. It's a few weeks later that Lucky stumbles upon a pair of cages in Cruella's manor. P.H.'s experiment has been a success, and said cages house the first pair of cloned Dalmatians; a girl and a boy, the first formed from Penny and Rebecca's genes. And the male, created from his and Cadpig's DNA, looking exactly like the pup he and Cadpig would have had, had he been born without deformities and still been alive. On impulse, Lucky freed the two, trashing P.H.'s lab into the bargain (and somehow leading up to his and Cruella's arrests in time for the events of 102 Dalmatians). On return to the farm with the two genetically created kids, Lucky handed the girl over to Rebecca to raise; and although her distrust of him was running higher than ever due to his affair with Cadpig, she happily took the girl in - the pup she'd dreamt of since falling for Penny but known had been impossible - naming her Eugenie. Mooch, who had taken the unlikely place as her comforter and boyfriend in the wake of Penny's death, hadn't seemed to mind that his girl had picked up and adopted daughter either, and it wasn't long before the pair of them mated, producing another girl named Libby. Lucky, meanwhile, chose to raise the male for himself (well, he wasn't going to bother Cadpig with him; not now that she and Tripod were rebuilding their own relationship after he'd so thoughtlessly trashed it for them before), naming the pup Chance. Partly out of his own self-centeredness (Chance, Luck, roughly the same thing), but also because having the pup felt like he was being given a second chance to raise the pup his own selfishness had been responsible for both the birth and death of. Some time later, of course, Lucky meets Rolly's sisters-in-law and over time a relationship forms between him and Collette, birthing their own three pups; Remi, Rookie and Cleo, but I haven't thought on any details that far ahead yet. Comments? Constructive criticisms? I've never given so much in-depth thought to any AU before, so I'll take all the help I can get. ... ... ... And if anyone dares to suggest that Lucky should, at any point, end up with Two-Tone instead of Collette, I will flay you slowly and painfully, and post up a picture of it in this thread as proof That is all.

Firstly, I have to mention that I laughed at your comment at the end. Violent Partner is violent lol. XD Overall I would say this is a good AU. ^ ^ I think you made the Penny/Rebecca pup fit in nicely with the whole DNA thing, since it's biologically impossible for them to have a daughter together. And you made the Luckpig pups fit in and cause some serious angst at the same time.

CX The ending comment made me laugh.
I agree with Lyra. I really like this idea for an AU, Partner.

I'm a scifi junkie so I love the idea of Cruella splicing DNA together. But Penny dies? That's so sad...Is this your main AU? With Jinx and Misten too?

Yeah, it is. Jinx, Misten, Sophie, Brenna, Blackpaw... all that lot exist in this AU too. Still leaves me with a bunch of pups even I can't figure out how to fit in, which is a little depressing, but I guess I can live with it I'll explain their places in this thread, too, in due course, but right now I just wanted to get my ideas for this part written while they were still fresh. Yeah... I'm feeling kinda guilty for killing off poor Penny too, but I guess after DWoW, it sort of feels compulsory for me now - plus, having lost her mother was a key part of Prima's personality (At the time, mainly so Patches could get with both Penny and Pepper in the same AU, but I digress), and when I adopted her from Bri, I wanted to keep that the same. Thanks for all the compliments, guys ^^

Disregard; I've reordered and condensed the entire timeline, but it still goes barely any further than the end of 102D as I don't have much plot past the point where all my puppies have been born.

And I've just had a thought as to how to keep Irina, at least, in this AU ^^ It involves changing her parentage, of course, but I think I've found the perfect mother for her since Angel is unavaliable. Chiffon. From the SCAMP comics. I mean, she was the pup Angel was originally based on, after all - meaning that they bear some resemblance in terms of looks, so there's very little actually I have to do to redesign Irina - and I've always been quite fond of Chiffon in the newspaper strips, so I'm happy to be able to include her into my AU. Means I have to figure out just how she and Copper end up mating, and moving to England, but I'm sure I can find something... For those who didn't see her on DA, I have a Blewel (Blaze/Jewel) pup to add to my cast now, too, so I need to find her a place in the timeline too. And as for my other pure-bred but impossible Dal next-gens who I've grown attatched to - Mira, Ben, Penee, Poker and Nova - I'm thinking of possibly running with the theory that they were more of P.H.'s experiments, because he somehow got hold of Patch's DNA as well. Because their spot patterns are too distinctive to translate them to being the offspring of any other pairing. I'm wondering if maybe P.H. escaped arrest when Cruella was taken, and took the remains of his pet project - these five new pups, formed from the DNA of Lucky, Rebecca and Patch - to do some more experimenting of his own with (after all, his cousin Cruella wouldn't need them for her coat if she was in prison), and eventually the pups escaped on their own and made their way to the farm where someone adopted them; not altogether sure who. I'm thinking that Partner and Annabelle might have taken Poker and Nova in; giving Partner the daughter he'd been wanting. and setting the stage for Nova and Scout's later rivalry. I want to say that Rebecca took the other three in, but already having Eugenie and Libby, I'm not sure how Mooch would react to having three more kids added to his family - especially not when they were composed of half of Lucky's DNA I could see them taking Penee in, at least; not so much Ben and Mira, though. Possibly Cadpig and Tripod could raise them, since the only pup they have in this AU is Tally... Or maybe Wizzer, just because he's the only series pup I haven't found a place for yet... hm... Leaving just Snowball my Scampig and Justina my Scanielle still unaccounted for. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I think I'm gonna make Chiffon out to be Angel's younger half-sister, to explain the resemblance. I'm not sure which of Tramp's girlfriends their mother is yet - Fifi, Lulu or Trixie; which one of them sounds the most likely to be a Pomeranian? - but she mates with another pom not too long after Angel's birth, producing Chiffon. Soon realising that she can't take care of two pups on the streets, said mother leaves Angel and Chiffon with a home she hopes will take them in, before vanishing from their lives. The family start to raise the two girls, but within a month or two, have to move from the area, and put both pups for adoption. Chiffon, a purebred Pomeranian, is quickly adopted (by Amos Slade's hypothetical sister, to explain how she and Copper meet and mate later in life?), while the mixed-breed Angel, unwanted, is regretfully left on the streets.
For the record, eventual pairings in my AU are as follows: Lucky/Collette Tripod/Cadpig Rolly/Danielle Patch/Angel Scamp/Pepper Patches/Penny (only temporary) Mooch/Rebecca (only temporary) Blaze/Jewel Partner/Annabelle Penny/Rebecca Pooka/Annette Buster/Two-Tone Dipstick/Dottie (Sometimes canon just isn't worth messing with) Dodger/Rita (broken relationship, not one I exactly support, but necessary for Two-Tone's story) Copper/Chiffon (not sure if this is permanent or if they just mate once... given Chiffon's seemingly high-class tastes, my guess is the latter)
Also, if anyone has any ideas, a girl for Wizzer would be no bad thing - but I think I've used up all the named female pups out there XP

What about Wizzer and Freckles? Would that work?
|
|
|
Post by Angel on Jan 3, 2012 15:28:15 GMT -5
Eh... I dunno. I still don't really get who Freckles exactly is, since she was just a Pepper clone in the original film, so I've no idea of her compatability with him or not... her gender was never exactly specified in the first place, so far as I'm aware... and isn't she one of Wizzer's birth siblings anyway?
Honestly, I think I was more hoping to find a non-dalmatian mate for Wizzer, since around the farm he would have rather a reputation for his, ah, 'little problem', so someone who wasn't so familiar with that would be more ideal really. Thanks for trying to help, though ^^

I need to condense my AU timeline. Since most of my next-gens are pups at the same time, spreading their births out over three years REALLY isn't going to work. It also needs some editing because now Two-Tone spends her time in New York with Dodger's gang before she falls for Buster - who would be even more likely to accept her because of her former street-dog experience. Also, got some more details, like the fact that Chiffon and Wizzer end up together, that need to be worked in, so... yeah, I'm gonna be redoing this thing sometime soon.

Updated my AU timeline. Yeah, well, it's very rough, *very* WIP, and really only exists to help me keep track of which pups were born when and what order things happened so far as the adults are concerned, but I figured I may as well make it public for others' benefit, at any rate. Year 1 April - Births: Chiffon Sept - Births: Angel Oct - Births: Lucky, Patch and family to Perdita Nov - - Angel and Chiffon’s humans find they can’t care for two puppies as well as their mother, so both are put out in a box on the street, free to a good home. Amos Slade’s sister adopts the full-Pomeranian Chiffon, while Angel is left alone – she breaks out of the box and runs away. She is very quickly found by Toughy, who teaches her the ways of the streets and gives her the ironic nickname Angel, which sticks.
Dec - Births: Scamp and siblings to Lady - Roger and Anita adopt 84 more Dalmatians
Year 2 Jan - - Dearly family move to Cherry Tree Farm, then (reluctantly) to America so that Anita can continue to work for Cruella, who has re-established her fashion business over there to escape the warrant for her arrest in England. The Dearlys move to a farm not far from the New England town where Lady’s family live
Feb - - Scamp gets street-dog Dani adopted into their family to replace brother Scooter, who died from an illness
April - - Rebecca is left behind when De Vil Ville vanishes, with no memory of where she's from, and is instantly picked up by the dogcatcher
- Angel falls in with the Junkyard Dogs
- The Dalmatians’ eventful spring vacation occurs, as do the main events of The Fox and The Hound
May – - In the process of freeing Two-Tone from the pound, Mooch and Lucky encounter Rebecca, who blames the latter for her predicament. Mooch, amused by the animosity this cute girl bears for his own rival, frees her as well. Upon arrival on the farm, and unbeknownst to each other, Rebecca and Penny start to fall in love. Confused by feelings that, in her time, would have been regarded as grossly inappropriate and even wrong, Rebecca tries to ignore then and agrees to become Mooch's mate in the hopes that this will put an end to her unfitting affection for Penny. A heartbroken Penny, who has secretly returned the feelings, turnes to her puphood crush, Patches, for a relationship instead, and the male hadn't the heart to say no
- Tug, one of the adopted pups (a.k.a. series Patch), takes it upon himself to leave the farm with no warning
July - - Angel is adopted into Tramp's family
- Two-Tone leaves the farm for good, hitching a ride on a truck bound for New York City. Upon arrival and exhausted from the journey, she runs into a semi-depressed Dodger, who is having trouble dealing with his pregnant mate. Both feeling run down, one thing leads to another, and they mate without really meaning to
- Blaze returns to the farm and a rather enamoured Jewel, who had missed his first appearance there, falls for his tales of daring adventure.
August - Births: Jinx and Misten to Angel, Adam to Rita, Prima to Penny, Libby to Rebecca - After twenty days of nursing Jinx and Misten, Angel can't take the family's reactions anymore and flees, leaving Scamp to raise the pups; of course, her destination ends up being Dearly Farm, where she hits things off well with Patch
- Dipstick adopted by Chloe Simon, a British probation officer who takes him back to England to keep her female Dalmatian, Dottie, company. The two don’t hit it off well at first
- Buster is freed from his trapped position in the junkyard by his pure-bred Doberman half-sister, who has stopped by to leave her (half-Dalmatian – and no relation to Pongo) pups to join his gang because she has no use for them
Sept - Births: Blackpaw to Two-Tone, Diamond to Jewel - Cruella enlists P.H.’s help in cloning a new batch of Dalmatian puppies for her coat, and sends Horace and Jasper to steal some DNA samples, which they manage to achieve from Lucky, Rebecca, Penny and Cadpig. Not long after, Lucky coerces Cadpig, who he’s long held a crush on despite her relation to him, into mating with him
- Blackpaw's birth occurs, much to Rita’s anger, and although Two-Tone remains with Dodger’s gang to raise the girl, she gets the distinct feeling that she isn’t welcome anymore
- Annette seeks out Buster, determined to convince him to take back his little demon-spawn that are ruining her perfect life, and ends up unwillingly falling for his charms and mating with him too (his way of getting back at Tramp’s family)
- Partner (finally) sums up the courage to confess his feelings for Annabelle, and soon after the two become a couple
- Pepper finds her way to Scamp’s home, where he is struggling to keep Jinx in check with little help from his parents, who are occupied by Lady’s recent pregnancy, and offers to lend a paw – an arrangement which, over the course of the next month, will lead to them growing to care for each other
Oct - Births: Justina to Lady, Topaz to Angel - A battered-looking Tug returns to the farm with two pups that must be his in tow – he refuses to answer any questions as to their mother
- Slade has an unexpected reunion with his sister, during which their dogs – Chiffon and Copper – mate, reluctantly in Copper’s case
- Rolly and Danielle begin dating, making her the first of Lady’s daughters to find their eventual partner.
Nov – Births: Amadi to Cadpig, Estelle to Annette - Lucky's treachery revealed! A deformed pup of incest is born to Cadpig, and seems to die within the hour - although in reality, he is found by Roger and Anita who nurse the deformed pup back to health. Lucky is shunned by his family
- After a long and difficult process of getting used to each other, Dipstick and Dottie finally end up falling in love and mating
- horrified by her newborn half-Doberman daughter, Annette makes sure to keep Estelle locked inside where she can’t ruin her reputation
- Rebecca is still pining after Penny, and Mooch, getting fed up with the way his mate didn't much care for his still-somewhat-bullyish ways, finally he dumps her in search of someone more suitable. Penny has recently split with Patches, on the grounds that they are too different, argue too much, and this just doesn't create a good atmosphere for their daughter to grow up in. Confused and traumatized, Prima sticks with her dad. Circumstances arise that lead to Penny and Rebecca finally voicing their feelings for each other in a tearful, messy confession, and they soon become a couple.
Dec – Births: Scout to Annabelle, Sophie to Pepper, Irina to Chiffon - A disgraced Lucky breaks into Villa De Vil, finds and frees the clone pups Eugenie and Chance, and results in Cruella being arrested for her involvement – she is returned to England for trial. Lucky adopts Chance as his own son, and Rebecca and Penny take in Eugenie
- Blackpaw, now a manipulative little thing, is thoroughly humiliated when Adam turns her manipulative nature against her. She flees NYC for good, heading back to her mother’s world of the farm. Concerned, Adam and Two-Tone both follow
- Mooch, who has abandoned the farm by this point, comes across a very pretty face in New England; Dolly. For all their differences of background, the two actually hit it off well. As the kind of girl Mooch can warm to, the pair eventually end up settling down together.
Year 3 Jan - Births: Megan, Meatball and Spaghetti to Danielle - Blackpaw and her two pursuers arrive back in New England. Two-Tone falls in with the king of the Junkyard, Buster, who is impressed by the street-smarts she learnt in NYC, and it’s not long before the two are an item
- A strange pup named Luanna arrives on the farm, claiming to be the pup of Rebecca and Angel, created by alien technology in an alternate universe. Cadpig, ever the psychologist, works out that she is really an orphan pup who, out of a subconscious desire for an explanation for her existence, has come to the conclusion that she must be related to the two females in question because she looks like a mix of them. Despite this analysis, Luanna still sticks firmly to her story.
Feb – Births: Oddball, Domino and Little Dipper to Dottie, Tally to Cadpig - Cruella released from prison, 'reformed'
- After two months of raising his son Chance alone, Lucky eventually comes to hook up with Collette, who amazingly hasn’t found a mate yet
- Pooka arrives in New England, and he quickly warms up to Annette – even though she doesn’t think much of him at first – who is going through a rough patch, dealing with her shame over mating with Buster, a now very rowdy Estelle who’s had enough of being hidden from the outside world, and insecurity over the fact that both of her sisters now have mates. Slowly, she begins to take to the mutt who seems genuinely concerned for her (the fact that he belongs to Royalty helps quite a bit, too). After a while, they do fall in love.
March – Births: Woodstock and Bridget to Dolly, Ace, Flash and Thunder to Angel - Her owner having moved back to the town, Chiffon strikes up a relationship with the still-single Wizzer who, he eventually reveals, is unable to help produce pups because his bladder problems affect that as well. Despite this, his growing closeness to Chiffon results in him becoming a father-figure to Irina, who Chiffon is more than happy to have him look after, since she finds it a bit of a nuisance to have a daughter to take care of.
April – Births: Brenna to Two-Tone May – Births: Remi, Rookie and Cleo to Collette, Leon and Laurette to Annette - Main events of 102 Dalmatians and Cruella's permanent re-arrest
- Partner and Annabelle adopt a pair of young orphan Dalmatian pups, Poker and Nova, who they raise alongside Scout
July - Births: Trinity and Enzo to Cadpig August – Births: Aria to Angel, making her the youngest pup on the farm for a while as everyone else is pretty much too busy raising their own families to conceive any more pups by this point. Nov – main next-gen story will start to come into play, with Jinx’s mission, Sophie becoming a murderer, etc., etc.; it’s still a work-in-progress from this point on, however; I have the main plot for Jinx, Sophie and those closest to them, and a whole bunch of pairings and other relationships amongst the next-gen, but not more than that at this point; will hopefully be amended later.
