--------------------------------
"I CAN'T WAIT! THIS IS GOING TO BE THE PARTY OF THE CENTURY!!!!" The pink pony jumped up and down in place excitedly weirding out the guests who had already arrived at the pony. "OH MY GOSH! Don't you agree? That this is gonna be the best party Ponyville has ever seen? Ity's the new year and I was all, oh my gosh it would be awesome if we had a party! Because that's how I always think, like that it would be a great time for a party! And then it made me so sad that people outside of ponyville might not be able to come so I invited everyone I could!" Excited pony was excited.
"Uh...wha?" Dipstick was there, a pointed pink party hat on his head. He was sitting by the wall waiting for Mooch to show up. The doofy pup knew Mooch had gotten an invited from the hyper active pony as well. "Uh...thanks fer inviting us..."
"NO PROBLEM!" Pinkie pie shouted bouncing back and forth from the punch bowl, to the party streamers and finally back to the food table.
Stitch shrugged his shoulders. What was he doing there?

Scamp could hardly contain his excitement as he walked into the room. He was practically about to burst. Never before had the grey pup been invited to a New Years party, and probably for good reason since his parents always seemed to get to go, but Scamp was excited nonetheless. He was, like Dipstick, wearing a pointy party hat and appearing all set to party. Catching sight of Pinkie, though, made Scamp remember what he still had to do. He had to thank the hostess for the party invitation.
"Hey!" Scamp greeted. He came bounding up to Pinkie, his tail practically a blur from how fast it was wagging, and came to a halt near her. "Thanks for the invite. This is going to be the best party ever!" Scamp exclaimed. Now where was Angel? Hadn't she been invited, too?
----
Near a different wall sat a mud colored lion cub. Kovu was, needless to say, not feeling quite so festive at that moment. He was nervous, really. The cub had never been invited to a party before. How was he even supposed to be acting? The grey puppy and pink pony seemed excited. Should he be excited too? Kovu just sighed, letting his head droop a bit, and stared at the floor. What was he even doing there?
----
It seemed one other party goer was in equal spirits with Kovu. Rebecca was feeling rather out of place at the party. Bad enough she didn't know what they were meant to be celebrating in the first place, but now she was meant to have fun with complete strangers? It somehow didn't seem like the ideal situation for the petite dalmatian. Still, the heart-spotted girl hadn't wanted to seem rude and reject Pinkie's invitation. The pony was so nice... she just couldn't find it in her to reject such a nice offer to come to a party. Still, Rebecca didn't know what she was meant to be doing.
Almost in the vain hope that someone familiar would show up, Rebecca moved away from the wall she had been standing in front of and toward the center of the room. She didn't know why she was getting her hopes up. "He probably is not going ta show up, anyway." Rebecca murmured. Besides, what if he was taken? Then she would just look like a fool asking if he wanted to spend time at the party with her. Then again, what if she was wrong? What if he did want to be friends? Rebecca definitely felt silly about the whole thought process she was going through. Still, she couldn't help it. In the end, though, Rebecca decided to just sit down and stare at the floor.

Just then, a rather scruffy cocker spaniel pup came trotting in. Danielle wore, like most of the party guests, a pointed party hat. She was so excited to be at a party! She remembered the Dears having one before, but it was a rather fancy party and Scamp had been purposly kept outdoors. Which she couldn't blame them for, since Scamp usually messed up a lot of things. She came to a stop as she spotted her brother, then bounced over towards him. "Hia, brother! Looks like you got an invitation too!" she greeted him happily. She wouldn't be surprised if Colette and Annette hadn't been invited. They were much too well mannered to enjoy a crazy party like this. She too was just as well-mannered, but unlike her two sisters sometimes she just wanted to forget the rules and be goofy.
Turning towards Dipstick she gave him a goofy grin, pink tongue hanging out of her mouth. "Heh, you sure look funny in that." she commented, her tail wagging playfully. The big-nosed dal didn't look too bright. He'd be perfect to mess around with.
------
At the same time, a tawny colored lion cub slink into the room. Vitani scanned the room, blue orbs going from guest to guest. Had she actually gone to this stupid thing? What did they call it? A...party? The word confused the outlander, and she was still unsure about what it was supposed to do. Spotting Kovu, she quickly headed towards him, taking a seat on his right. "Hey Kovu." she said quietly. She wore a pink party hat, which made her feel especially stupid, and she gave him a look that warned him not to mention it. Once again she glanced at the scene going on before them. "Have you figured out what this all is?" she asked. "Like some sort of battle training?"

(OMG LYRA I FORGOT YOU LIKE DIPELLE!!! XD)
"Your welcome!" Pinkie pie said smiling down at Scamp, "I'm so glad you all could make it to my little party! New Years is something to celebrate after all!" She grinned widely as she bounced around the room placing party hats on all the guests heads. "Come on! Cheer up! Cheer up! Cheer up! Its time to party!!!" She was directing this to the sad dalmatian pup and the sad lion cub.
Dipstick's ears perked as he heard the puppy. "Huh? Wha? Hey, I don't think it looks too silly," Dipstick said, drowsy and doofy face turned to the scruffy cocker puppy, "How come you don't have one?"
Just on cue Pinkie pie placed a silly hat on Danielle's head. Dipstick giggled. "Hehehe," he said, pointing to her head, "Now you have one too!"

"Huh?" Kovu glanced up, both as Pinkie plopped a silly blue hat on his head and as Vitani spoke. At least she was there. She was familiar, and on top of that she seemed as lost as he was. For that, at least, he was grateful. "Oh, hey Vitani. I... really don't know. This all seems so... weird." Kovu replied. It wasn't like anything he had ever experienced before. Mother wasn't around, either, so it couldn't be training. She wouldn't have wanted them to train with... pink ponies and puppies, would she? "Maybe it's like what that Pridelander... what Kiara said. Maybe they're... playing?" Kovu suggested. Huh. How long had it been since he had seen Kiara, anyway? Would she be there?
"In any case, I don't see mother here. Maybe it's not training. I mean, I don't see how it could be. They look... happy. Mostly." he said. Why the little dalmatian who looked confused by the hat Pinkie had given her was so down was beyond Kovu's knowledge, but he could at least determine that he and Vitani couldn't let a chance to have time to themselves pass them by.
----
Rebecca stared up at the hat Pinkie had given to her, and after a few moments of contemplation she did let a smile grace her face. Pinkie was right. She couldn't let her worries about whether or not anyone she knew would be there get her down. "I suppose you're right, lass." Rebecca finally said, rising to her paws once more and giving a feeble wag of her tail. "I'll just hafta find someone else tha' I can talk to." Rebecca told herself. She glanced around, looking around for someone to start a conversation with, and spotted Danielle, Scamp, and Dipstick. Would they mind if she joined them? There was only one way to find out. Rebecca plucked up her courage and made her way over to the trio of canines.
----
Unaware that Rebecca was headed their way, Scamp just grinned happily at Danielle. "Looks like you got invited too." Scamp smirked. He was glad his tomboy sister had come. This seemed like the kind of place Danielle would want to be, anyway. Too out of the ordinary for Colette and Annette. "Some party, huh? It's only going to get better from here. I can't wait to see what's going to happen." Scamp said. He could only imagine what sorts of shenanigans would go down at the party. All he knew was that whenever he saw parties depicted on TV some human always ended up with a lampshade on their head. Scamp wanted that to be him. He didn't know why he wanted that to be him, but he wanted the party to get wild and that was the best way he could think of for that to happen!

To say that Angel wasn't anywhere near as enthused as Scamp was about the party would be about right. The former street dog didn't like parties. On the few occasion when her past humans had hosted them, she had been surrounded by many more humans than she had ever been comfortable with making a fuss of her, and it wasn't an experience she was at all anxious to repeat. Still, an invite was an invite, and she hadn't wanted to disappoint Tenderfoot by not showing up, so Angel has here. Her neck was adorned with a pink bow instead of her usual collar, and the pomeranian felt most embarassed in it. She'd already tried pawing it loose, but to no avail other than that it now sat at an awkward angle about her shoulder, so she had quickly given up.
Upon entering, the pomeranian made as rapidly as she could for the room's only two familiar faces, Scamp and Danielle, and almost collided with a dalmatian with a frilly collar in the process, stopping short just before they hit with reflexes only years of living on the streets could have honed. Cerulean orbs noticed Rebecca's collar - suddenly, Angel didn't feel quite so ridiculous in her own bow anymore - before trailing up to the dalmatian's face.
"I'm... sorry," Angel appologised, feeling awkward with the show of politeness. On the streets, she would just have skirted around the younger girl without giving her a second glance, but the pomeranian had quickly learnt, with the help of a slipper or two to the muzzle, that her old street-dog habbits weren't appreciated in a housepet.

Danielle paused for a moment as Pinkie Pie placed a party hat on her head, before an equally doofy look came to her face. "Heh heh, I guess you're right!" she said, laughing a bit. She stopped yet another moment to scratch behind a scruffy brown ear before looking back up at Dipstick. "I'm Danielle," she introduced herself. "Who are you?" Just then, Angel's appearence caught her off gaurd. A mischevious grin came to her face. "Look what the cat dragged in! It's Angel-cakes!" she exclaimed. She gave Scamp a nudge with her shoulder. "Looks like your girlfriend decided to show up too, huh?" she teased him. If there was one thing the tomboyish pup liked doing, it was tease his brother about his relationship with the blonde canine. But hey, that's what sisters were for, right?
------
Vitani nodded at Kovu's words. This certainly didn't seem like any training she had gone through. But she didn't just want to sit around and do nothing. Maybe...maybe they could justget a closer look? Giving Kovu a nod she progressed away from the corner and made her way cautiously into the center of the room. There was no way she would approach someone herself, she didn't want to interact with any of these canines voluntarily. She would just have to see what happened.

Having almost collided with Angel, Rebecca quickly took a step back and glanced sheepishly at the floor. Once she looked back up, Rebecca offered a little nervous sort of smile. Some job she was doing so far. She had almost collided with a girl she hadn't even met before! "Nae, I'm sorry. I... was nae looking where I was going." Rebecca apologized. She couldn't help but notice the bow around Angel's neck. It looked nice, at least in her opinion... though it did look a little odd being off to the side like that. "Did ye just get here?" Rebecca asked. Well, the petite dalmatian hadn't seen Angel there moments ago so it only made sense that she was a new arrival. But Rebecca wanted to make sure she hadn't been imagining things.
----
Feeling Danielle nudge him in the shoulder, not to mention hearing her remark, Scamp briefly let a sort of surprised look cross his face. It vanished momentarily, though, as Scamp playfully nudged Danielle. "Yeah, yeah. I'll just leave you with your new friend here and say hi." Scamp said. No harm in teasing her about the way she was hanging around the doofy dalmatian, right?"
"Angel! Hey!" Scamp greeted excitedly. He moved away from Danielle and closer to Angel and Rebecca.

Meanwhile another dalmatian pup walked into the party "Man this is going to be awesome!" Lucky said with excitement, this was the first New Years party he'd been invited to, and he hoped to make the best of it as he looked around to see if there were any familiar faces in the crowd, he blinked noticing Dipstick "If he's here..." Lucky took a quick glance around the room incase Mooch and Wizzer were around, oddly enough he didn't see the sheepdog or his brother around. "Funny Dipstick would be here without Mooch and Wizzer." Lucky muttered to himself before he noticed Rebecca, something about her was familiar to him but from where? Lucky had to think about this one.
"isn't this exciting?" Came a familiar female voice that snapped Lucky out of his thoughts, Two-Tone walked up next to Lucky, her tail wagging as she was excited to be at her first New Years party "What do you think the party will be like?" She asked Lucky before she noticed Dipstick "I didn't know Dipstick was invited, I wonder who else got invited?" She wondered before looking around incase Mooch and Wizzer were nearby, she knew those three were inseperable but it seemed tonight of all nights they were.

A loud, unsuppressed belch echoed from the refreshments table. 627 was standing on top of the table, one foot in a batch of New Year's cookies (they were shaped like the number 2012), pretty much assuring he had the lot of them to himself. He held the now-empty punch bowl in his hands a moment longer before throwing it to the side carelessly, letting the large glass bowl shatter on the ground.
He then picked up the plate of cookies and poured its entire contents into his mouth, crunching noisily on them and spilling crumbs down his chin. A noisy gulp, and then he reached for the bowl of chips, downing half of them in one fell swoop. If someone didn't stop him soon this crazy partygoer would consume all the food!

A blonde boy strode in, blue clarinet in hand and an unsure look on his face. "Am ah the only human in this place?" he wondered, glancing around the room rather nervously. The boy had never gotten out much - the advantage of being rich was you never got to go anywhere. And when someone had said there was a New Year's party, he was curious to check it out. All of his other friends had plans and couldn't hang out with him. The rich kid's fingers nervously moved up and down the keys of the clarinet. Register, B-flat, A, F, E Eddie thought subconsciously. He had brought it in case someone wanted to hear it.
Eddie walked over to a dalmatian with hearts. She seemed to be as out of place as he was. A small, sheepish smile came over his face. "Um, hi. Ah'm Eddie. Who're you?"

Angel's answer would have to wait, it seemed. A human had decided to speak to her. Blinking in surprise, Rebecca glanced up at Eddie with big, wide blue eyes and looked him over. He didn't look so bad. He looked rather out of place, actually. She knew how that felt. It gave Rebecca all the more reason to answer him. Out of place people needed to stick together, after all, even if one of them was a dog. "Muh name is Rebecca. Good tae meet ye, laddie." Rebecca replied, bowing her head politely as a soft smile graced her face. Part of her wanted to ask where Eddie had come from. His accent sounded so... strange!
"Yuir accent... I cannae say I've heard anything like it before." Rebecca said at length. She supposed her own accent was a bit strange on the ears of those beyond her home. Perhaps it was the one thing they had in common, she and Eddie. Strange accents. Rebecca could still understand Eddie, but she found it kind of funny that they both had accents.
----
"Oh... okay. Just go ahead, Vitani. I'll... I'll be fine." Kovu said quietly. Now what? The brown cub was on his own again, left to fiddle with a strange hat on his head and even stranger guests. One was even standing on two legs and didn't appear to have much fur at all. How very odd indeed! But that wasn't what interested Kovu. What interested the cub was the strange creature devouring all the cookies on a nearby table. Admittedly curious, Kovu decided to investigate. Even he knew to keep a fair amount of space between him and a strange animal, though, so he crept slowly toward 627 and crouched down with his ears pressed back against his head.
"Um..." Kovu pawed the floor nervously. What was he supposed to do? Just ask this strange red-orange creature what he was? It wouldn't hurt to do so, would it? Kovu could only hope that wasn't the case. "What are you doing?" Kovu decided to ask. It came out less awkwardly than the simple 'what are you' would have.

"What, you missing me already, horseshoe?" Pushy sheepdog had, of course, overheard Lucky's muttered comment, and just had to make his presence known, grinning all the while. Hardly a glance was spared at Two-Tone; if she'd chosen to come here with Luckless, then she didn't deserve him anyway. Hell, heart-spots or blondie over there would probably make just as good a girlfriend as she had, and wouldn't run crying to Un-lucky whenever he said something they didn't like either.
---
"...rude, much?" Angel muttered as the boy stepepd directly in between her and Rebecca to begin his own conversation, utterly ignoring her. Shaking her head in somewhat annoyance, the pomeranian stepped around the human, meaning either to respond to Rebecca's question to her or just continue towards Scamp while the spotted canine was occupied, but the decision was rather take out of her paws when Scamp was suddenly bounding towards her. In spite of herself, Angel grinned. Somehow, the prospect of this party didn't sound quite so bad now that she was facing it with the grey-furred pup.
"You haven't got into trouble here yet, Tenderfoot?" she teased him, feigning surprise as she gave his neck a quick nuzzle before pulling back, smiling at the pup she loved.

Lucky was about to speak when he heard Mooch's voice "Not really Mooch." he answered the sheepdog, he turned his attention toward the refreshments and the strange creature eating all the food "Whoa... and I thought Rolly had a big appettite." He said as he watched 627 devour all the food.
"Um Lucky." Two-Tone turned toward Lucky as she noticed the same thing he was looking at, she shook her head "Somebody has no manners at all" She said as she watched 627 eat. She looked at Mooch as he walked in, she hoped he wouldn't start any trouble at the party. She looked around at the other guests seeing a couple of lion cubs, a few other canines and even some humans around too, she also took notice of a pink colored pony "never knew ponies came in pink" Two-Tone said, she had a fond flashback to the time Lucky was pink.

"Wow, this is so cool!" a blonde girl made her way into the party. It was beautiful and in some ways very over the top, but it was in fact New Year's so it should go off with a bang, after all, with everyone together it wouldn't really matter would it? "This is a simply charming party."
---- "Wow, Pinkie, this is a great party, looks like everyone is having a great time." Twilight Sparkle said coming up to the pink pony. "I think you really outdid yourself this time." Twilight was very surprised with how many people had shown up. Then again, with Pinkie Pie's parties, you couldn't really refuse, no one wanted to hurt the ponies feelings and frankly, her parties were amazing.
