{Private roleplay, closed to me and Mo for our next-gen characters to meet. And I totally didn't steal the title from that song from Cars 2... XP} Partner as Jinx, Nova, Cleo, Scout and Estelle Mo as Milo, Arya, Sansa, Bran, Jon and Trent
Scout growled as he sniffed the ground. Why-why-WHY was it always left to him to keep his no-good adopted sister in check? She was such a pain in the tail that it wasn't even funny - and since Poker was off with his own friends, of course dad had asked him to go after her. And he couldn't very well refuse, but damn, was she annoying. Girl thought she was some kind of superhero, always running off in her idiotic attempts to save the day - and had evidently decided that he was her arch-nemesis.
Her trail, to his annoyance - but not particular surprise; nowhere Nova managed to end up would surprise him anymore -, led right up to Villa De Vil, what had been Cruella's home before she'd got her life-sentence in prision for funding illegal genetic experiments (with intent to murder them for their fur, so he gathered). "What the hell are you doing here?" the dalmatian male muttered. Dad would have a fit if he found out this was where Nova had gone - mom might, too, although she was generally calmer. Noticing that the large wooden door was cracked open - his quarry's doing, do doubt - Scout shoved it fully open and padded into the entrance hallway, dark eyes darting left and right in search of Nova. The place was creepy, he didn't mind admitting it, and the sooner he got her and got out of here, the better.
A scuffling of paws from behind him and too the left prompted Scout's ears to prick, but he didn't immediately turn. "Nova, if that's you, stop fooling around and get over here. Dad's going to freak out when he hears you're here."
(ooc: Mo, I'd like it if it were one of your pups Scout's heard; don't mind which right now)

"...Nova? I'm not a Nova, nor will I ever BE a Nova!" A shaky little voice preceded Scout's comment, and following the voice came a tiny puppy, splotched haphazardly in black and white as any dalmatian would be. He trembled with completely unhidden fear-- why WOULD he hide it anyway, this place was FRIGHTENING!-- as he cautiously and sheepishly approached the other dalmatian. "...B-but I guess I could try and help you find her maybe... like... you go and search for her and... I stay here, where it's safe and NOT intimidating." He gave a lopsided grin that lacked conviction, hoping this dog was dumb enough to go ahead and do what he said. He did not want to go any farther into the place, not at ALL.

One eyebrow shot up, and Scout rotated on the spot to see who owned the voice that clearly wasn't Nova's. Another dalmatian - of course - but not one he knew, and the male frowned. "And you are? For that matter, what are you even doing in this place?"
He was probably Nova's newest victim, he supposed, quickly putting two and two together in his head as he waited for the male to respond. She'd have decided he was some petty criminal, or would-be supervillain, or something, and chased him up here. He'd have to ask Poker to pound some sense into his sister once they got back to the farm... He would do it himself - gladly - but Nova had already decided that his destiny was to turn evil, so she wouldn't listen to a word he said.
"Your definition of 'help' needs some serious work," he retorted, attention returning briefly to the other male, although his gaze was really on their surroundings, trying to decide which way Nova must have gone in. "You can stay here and watch if you want, but don't try and pass it off as 'helping'."

"Uhhm... M-Milo, my name's Mi--" Irriatated dalmatian cut him off with a snarky retort, causing Milo's ears to droop slightly. Apparently, he WASN'T that dumb. And he sounded like he didn't want him around either. Of course. "...'kay..." was all the smaller dog uttered, quietly and staring at his forepaws as he did. He of course didn't want to follow him into the place-- oh HELL no, that was just a flat-out stupid idea-- but he'd been trying to look for a friendly face who wanted out as badly as he did. But of course nobody wanted to talk to little Milo, the shy, eaisly startled little wuss that even a butterfly could take down.
((You can bring in another puppy if you want so another of mine can follow ^^))

Preoccupied with finding his sister - and hopefully battering some sense into that thick skull of hers in the process - Scout completely missed Milo's moment of self-pity. "Do you even know which direction she went in?" he asked somewhat impatiently. The sooner he was out of this creepy hellhole, the better, and that meant finding Nova, even if he had to drag her out of there by her collar to get her to leave.
His question was rendered unneccessary a moment later, however, when a horrible creaking sounded from above them, followed immediately by the crack of splintering wood, and suddedly a canine form that couldn't have been anyone but Nova was landing hard atop him, acompanied by a shower of dust that coated all three puppies and left Scout coughing and choking.
If Nova noticed who she was standing on, she didn't show it. Turning to face Milo - and putting a paw in Scout's eye in the process - she looked him over once, then cheerfully asked "Hey, who're you?"

Before Milo could even begin to answer Scout's question-- which honestly he had no real answer for but he was just trying to be nice-- there was creaking and crashing that was loud as a gunshot to Milo's sensitive little ears, and rubble and dust and EVERYTHING came toppling down on top of poor Milo and Scout. Milo, appropriately, responded with a very shrill and frankly quite girly squeal of shock and curled into a protective ball to try and avoid getting any more debris in his eyes, nose, and ears than was perfectly avoidable. Because then he'd get a bunch of dust and irritants all in his eyeball and he'd probably go blind, or it'd get lodged up on his nose and he'd get a sinus infection, or it would get into his ear canal and render him deaf... typical thought process for the jumpy pup. Poor little puppy was so traumatized that his little tiny body was racked with uncontrollable little shivers of fear and for a long while he did not look up to address the new arrival who had apparently made the roof cave in. He gave the she-puppy-- whom he assumed was this "Nova" girl Scout was talking about-- a wide-eyed, tear-filled, shaky glance, trembling ears pulled back and his claws unsheathed into a death grip on the grimy wooden floor. "meeeeeep," Milo meeped squeakily, unable to form a proper sentence due to the huge shock the collapse had given him. "meeeee-eeeeep."

"Scout! What did you do to him?!"
Okay, so she had noticed him. Wonderful. And of course, it wasn't her fault that Milo was now a gibbering wreck, it had to be his. Scout opened his muzzle to retort - and then had it slammed shut as Nova shifted position again, the paw that had just been in his eye now pushing down on his nose instead, forcing his maw shut. Scout hissed in pain as his tongue got caught between his unexpectedly-closing jaws.
"Never mind him," Nova was cheerfully addressing Milo again, and Scout fumed silently, unable to get out from beneath his sister, or even open his muzzle far enough to release his smarting tongue. "He's just my brother who's going to turn into an evil supervillain sometime in the future - he didn't hurt you did he?"

Pupils dialted from shock even still shifted from one pup to the other, one with his mouth shut tight by the other's paw, one with an eager grin on her face the gave Milo a VERY uneasy feeling. He didn't really get along with dogs who were... oh... what was the word... assertive. "...uh... i-it's fine..." he mumbled very quietly, still locked up in a hunched over postion with his claws dug deep into the flooring. "He uh... he... didn't do anything bad, no..." His ears began to raise up slowly but surely. "Uh... who-who are YOU?"
((I'll bring Jon and Trent in on the next post :3))

"He didn't?" Nova looked startled and hopped off Scout, who instantly opened his maw and began nursing his tongue, trotting towards Milo, cape - a sheet of fabric she'd found in a pile of dusty, unfinished designs upstairs and claimed for herself - fluttering behind her as she moved. She stopped barely an inch short of invading the male's personal space, squinting one eye closed as she looked at him "Why were you all 'meeeeeep' or whatever you were doing earlier?" she not-quite demanded, frowning. "Was it Jinx instead?" Wouldn't surprise her if Scout was in league with someone like that. "Is there some other villain around?" She grabbed Milo by the shoulders, shaking him. "WHO?!"
"Oh, you..." finally satisfied that he hadn't severed his tongue or anything too serious (just painful), Scout siezed Nova by the back of her collar and tried to drag her away from Milo, but since the female refused to let go, he ended up dragging the younger male towards him as well. "It was YOUR entrance that scared him, dumbass," Scout snapped, sorely wishing he could club Nova around the head without getting told off by dad later.

"Well, youuUUUEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeep--" Right next to his face. Breathing RIGHT. ON. HIS. NOSE. Milo edged his head back, his body now in a sideways slant, and just stared at Nova with a look of pure befuddlement that looked almost comical to anyone else; deep down though, Milo was screaming internally. He felt her breath warm his face and he wished she would just GET AWAY. He HATED when people got into his space. Germs, irritants, diseases of ALL KINDS being transferred merrily from dog to dog. It made his skin crawl thinking about it. "J-Jiiin-GYYEEEEEHCH!!" And now she was shaking him. With her dirty, dusty paws, swaying his head back and forth with such ferocity he could almost feel his brain knocking around inside his skull. The world seemed to be shaking and he was horribly dizzy. "myeee-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-eeeeehhhh..." he meeped again, slurred with the shaking of his head. And finally it stopped. But before he could relish the moment the torture had stopped, he was being dragged, on his fluffy white belly along the nasty old flooring of this hellhole. "NYEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHH!!" Milo whined in protest, trying to push himself upright, but his paws kept sliding and slipping as he was dragged even farther, as Nova still had a death grip on his collar and Scout had no intention of letting go of his sister. "EW-EW-EW-EW-EEEEEWWWWW!!!! LET ME GOOOOO!!!"
----
Meanwhile, two older dogs, both of different sizes, were cantering swiftly and quietly down the road to Villa De Vil, letting the hovering scent of the dog they were tracking lead the way. Jon began to trot to a halt. "Ohhhh, no..." he muttered, shaking his head, letting his fluffy spotted ears swing from side to side as he did. "Oh man... don't tell me he ran into there," Trent moaned, also drawing to a halt beside the dal-cocker mix. They stared up at the large, creepy building, and instantly a distinctive fear clenched both their stomachs. "He did." Trent sighed. "Stupid kids. They just don't know how to turn around when they get lost." He padded up to the door and nudged it open a sliver more. "Well... I guess we'd better go get him then." Jon raised an eyebrow, obviously not enthused by the prospect, but followed his smaller friend anyway. Milo WAS their responsibility for today after all. If Uncle Lucky and Aunt Two-Tone ever got wind that they'd let Milo wander into this place... well... needless to say, they wouldn't be house dogs for very long afterward.

"Hey, I'm only trying to help!" Nova protested, still not releasing Milo even as Scout half-choked her with her own collar. "You're not telling me you're in league with him?" she jerked her head to indicate her brother. "He's gonna turn ev- ghk!" the sentence ended abruptly as Scout twisted her collar, constricting it against her throat, and making it a struggle for her to breathe at all. Scout kept up the pressure until Nova finally let go of the other male, before finally slackening his grip, although not releasing the girl's collar completely in case she ran off again.
"I'm sorry she's like this," Scout appologised to Milo, completely ignoring Nova as she fought to get away from him. He jerked Nova's collar tighter again, causing the female to glare at him. "Let's go," he growled. "Dad's already going to have a fit when he finds out you were here."
Nova, however, wasn't about to come quietly, despite Scout threatening to choke her again. "No way! Jinx is here, and I'm gonna find out what she's up to and stop it. The entire farm's depending on me-!"

And FINALLY he was free. Milo shot back instantly, wheezing his relief. Now he only watched, still horribly traumatized, as the scene between Scout and Nova unfolded. "W-wait... who's Jinx...?"
At this moment however, a deeper voice barked from the corridor beyond, "MILO!!" Little dog nearly jumped out of his own skin at the sound of Jon's strong, firm voice bursting from so suddenly behind him. He curled up into his trembling little ball of protection yet again, looking for all life like a furry, speckled armadillo. Jon padded up behind the younger dog and jabbed lightly at the puppy's exposed black back, spotted with a white circle pattern, "What are you doing in here? We need to go home NOW." However, he noticed Scout and Nova, one holding the other's collar in a tight grip, ready to choke, and the other blabbering about saving the farm or some nonsense along those lines. He made a mental note to keep a watch for any signs of rabies in the area-- the madness revealed itself in very weird ways. "...Are you two lost...?" he asked, trying to take control of the situation as clearly Milo wasn't ready to do anything short of hide and shudder like a little rattlesnake's tail. After taking a short glance behind him, hoping Trent would find his way to him (he found it was easy to lose his way in this huge place), he continued, "I can take you home if you--"

"Whadaya mean, 'who's Jinx?'?" Nova starred at Milo, and probably would have pressed her face up against his to try and measure if he was actually telling the truth, if not for the fact that Scout wasn't going to release her collar anytime soon. Pulling against his grip, and only succeeding in threatening to strangle herself in the process, Nova gave up and returned her attention to Milo. "She's only the nastiest pup in the ENTIRE WORLD! How couldn't ya have heard some of the things she said to Flash? She was in tears for a week! Everyone kne-" she was cut off again as Scout jerked her on collar, and Nova glared at her brother.
"Did you consider that he might not even be from the farm at all?" Scout growled.
"He's a dalmatian, isn't he? Where else would he be from? Now let me--!" The voice barking out Milo's name interrupted her, and Scout quickly maneuvered Nova so that she was the far side of him from the new entrant. Not that that would deter his sister, however.
"Who are YOU? One of Jinx's minions?" Her paws were up on Scout's back - much to his annoyance as he tried, with little success, to pull her back down by the collar he was still doggedly gripping. "If you don't take me to her right now, I'll- Ouch!"
He'd get in trouble for it, Scout knew, as Nova finally hopped down from his back and began nursing the hind paw that he'd let go of her collar to bite, but he was now massively irritated enough that he didn't really care. Nova was doing nothing short of making a fool of him, and the older dalmatian didn't like it at all. "No, we're not lost," he replied snappishly to the other male. "I know the way back fine - it's just this stupid dumb little sister who's refusing to come."

Jon quirked an eyebrow but didn't question. "If you say so." He turned to Milo and said sternly, "You are so lucky I'm not as diligent as your parents are. Otherwise I'm pretty sure your head would be mounted on a stake." Milo was beginning to pull himself out of his trauma, still shuddering slightly, but now looking Jon in the eyes. He simply nodded, tongue stuck tightly to the roof of his mouth and almost seeming to swell by the effort of trying not to cry. He didn't see himself as pathetic at all, not even by the fact that he was fairly close to adulthood though he was a good year or so younger than Jon and he was ready to start bawling like a little newborn pup at the mere sight of a butterfly-- he was just particularly careful and found it practical to over-analyze the details. When he wasn't so shaken he could barely stand, that is. "I don't recognize you two from around the farm or by Mom and Dad's house," Jon stated to the two youngsters, his head tilting slightly to the side. "Do you come from near, or far?"
---
Trent's erect ear was hanging low behind his head and the curled tail he inherited from his mother was tucked tightly in between his legs. He'd lost Jon when they decided to split up and find Milo, and he hadn't the slightest idea where to look for his friend now that they'd been separated for a good ten minutes. He really, truly did not like this place. It was dark and old and abandoned, the perfect place to lose yourself and wither away to bones and dust. He was starting to think he was definitely going to be a goner when a slight shuffling caught his attention, along with the scent of a dog he'd never met before. He stopped and held his ground silently for a moment before venturing, "...Who's there...?"

Scout frowned slightly at that, his anger at Nova dissipating slightly - but only slightly - as he tried to puzzle that one out. True, he didn't expect anyone on the farm to know everyone else, but Nova was such an obnoxious presence that it seemed impossible that anyone on the farm wouldn't at least recognise her. "Well, we do come from the farm," he replied, scratching his back where Nova's paws had touched it as through trying to rid himself of any of her residue. "You know Annabelle, right? We're her pups."
"And Partner's," Nova put in, Causing Scout to grimace slightly. Yes, Partner was their father, but since Nova had come along, he always seemed to care more about her (and Poker, to an extent) than him. That wasn't to say that he treated Scout unfairly at all, but it was no secret that dad liked having a daughter better than he liked having sons.
"...we are talking the same farm, right?" he thought to ask. It would be embarassing if this guy was from a different far altogether. "The one with more than 100 Dalmatians?"
---
Her chin resting on the floorboards of Cruella's attic, lying on her belly with the tag of that accursed collar Scamp made her wear jabbing into her chest, Jinx could have been mistaken for a stuffed dog if not for the slow rise and fall of her chest, and even that would have been easy to miss, given that she was lying on it. From her vantage point, she could see down into the other rooms of the manor through small cracks or holes - evidence of woodworm - in the boards, including the one where that complete idiot wannabe superhero was being rounded up by her brother. Jinx would never consider going after Nova; that girl wasn't worth her time. Not to mention that her other brother was Misten's best friend, and though she had very, very few people she cared about, and even less that she would admit to it for, Misten was one of them. He'd faced the same shit life that she had, and if he'd found a friend, she didn't want to spoil that for him.
Since Scout seemed to have idiot-girl under control, Jinx allowed her azure eyes to scan through the other rooms of the house - and stiffened. The room below her... there was no mistaking the scent that entered with that dog, or his blonde fur. It was one of mother's brood, no doubts there. The ones she cared about. Jinx was on her feet in an instant, scuffling slightly against the worn wooden beams, and causing the other canine to call out, but Jinx was already half way out of the attic by that time. Never mind Nova's presence - she had a life to ruin.
It was odd, though. She could have sworn Ace and Thunder were her only 'half-brothers', but she sure as hell wasn't going to question it. She'd know what one of mom's spawn smelt like anywhere.
The maze of rooms offered little challenge to Jinx, as she easily weaved through the route she'd memorised, reaching the place where she'd seen the other pup in record time. Sure enough, he was still there. It was a little late for a response to his question anymore, so Jinx just opted for the direct approach.
"You look like yeh're lost," she leered, weaving in and out of the room's shadows as she circled Trent in a manner purposefully intended to intimidate. She blended into the shadows so well that it would be very hard for him to keep track of her. "What'sa matter, mommy abandon you as well?"
