"You have a sister?" Piper replied, taking a seat on the couch next to the Time Lord. "I'm an only child. But I have my ways to prevent boredom." The auburn girl looked up at the celing and then back at her guest. She had always thought having a sibling would be awesome. Someone to bother, to fight with. Other than her neighbors of course. "I mean, a girl in the building, Penny, is sort of like a sister. She helps me with fashion and lets me read her magazine and paints my nails. That's what sisters do, right?"

"We don't get along." Emily said sullenly.
Understatement of the freakin' century! Her mind chimed in.
She folded her arms and glared at a spot on the floor. She would never admit it...but the way her father treated her compared to her doppelganger grated on her more than she cared to acknowledge.

"That's too bad." The redhead commented, pulling her book bag over and unloading some books out of her backpack. "If I had a sister, I'd do all the sister stuff. Y'know, borrowing clothes and all that. But having a brother would be cool, too. I'd be a little less lonely." It wasn't that Piper was lonely all the time. But when Penny was gone and her parents were out and there was nothing in the world to do, it felt empty. That was the word, empty. "I mean I have friends and stuff but my parents don't really like me wandering California when they're gone."

He recognized that voice. Sheldon Cooper stopped dead in his tracks as, on his way downstairs (today was the day he went down to the comic book store), he heard the familiar voice of one annoying teenaged girl. Unconciously his eye twitched. Piper. She singlehandedly made his life a living hell by intentionally doing things to rile him up... and she got away with it EVERY SINGLE TIME! It was a mystery to Sheldon how Leonard was fond of such a bratty girl. He would feel a bit better about the fact that Piper was his downstairs neighbor if he could only figure out a way to beat her at her own game. THAT was the indignity of it all-- Sheldon Cooper, a genius in his own right, outwitted and manipulated by a simple teenaged girl! He also heard another voice from inside the apartment as well, one he didn't recognize. One of her friends, perhaps? Peh. Probably plotting some stupid prank to piss him off intentionally. "You do know that I can hear you," Sheldon projected to the door. "You and your friend had better not be plotting my demise behind that door."

"Oh Sheldon, don't you know? I'm always plotting your demise." said the girl from behind the door. "So why should today be any exception?" A little giggle escaped as she flew across the room and swung it open to reveal her upstairs neighbor. "So what brings you 'round these parts today, Shelly?" the redhead asked, shooting her neighbor a smirk. She had a few plans for today, mostly bothering him during Halo with science questions for Leonard. That was a two-in-one. She really did need the help with the science, yet it bothered him at the same time. Nothing like killing two birds with one stone. "And I don't know if you've met Emily yet." Piper added, motioning to the other girl. "Emily, this is my next-door nuiscence Sheldon."
