For me and Patchy. A continuation of Pick Me Up, Drop Me Down and set two days after that thread in canon.
Phantom - Taffyta
The past two days had been fabulous for Taffyta. Word had gotten around Sugar Rush that Vanellope was out of commission for a while, and so that meant she and Priscilla would be able to dominate the races if they ended up on the random roster. Fortunately for Taffyta, she had ended up on the roster two days in a row and she had been doing well. Sure there was the occasional player that didn't know what they were doing, but otherwise Taffyta couldn't complain. Best of all, she had a friend in Priscilla. In her humble opinion, things couldn't have been better.
With races over for the day, Taffyta had left her kart in its usual spot and had decided to meet with Priscilla again. She wanted to see if there was anything they could do for fun since it was after hours and all. At present, the blonde racer was headed toward the designated meeting spot and sucking on a new strawberry lollypop she had obtained. When she arrived at the spot, which wasn't that far from the little area where racers liked to hang out sometimes, Taffyta saw that she was the first to arrive.
"No problem. I can wait for her." Taffyta said. Waiting was easy, but kind of annoying at the same time. However, Taffyta thought she could manage for the time being. How long could she possibly have to wait.

Patchy: Priscilla, Candlehead
She didn't have to wait long, the familiar green kart drove up right side her. Taking off her glasses, Priscilla, took in the site in front of her. Finally a chance to prove that she was better than that stupid sister of hers. Not that she wasn't always better. She was going to be just fine. Especially with Tafftya on her side. "You didn't wait long did you?" she asked, finishing up the pocky she had in her mouth.

"Nah. I just got here a couple of minutes ago." Taffyta replied. Naturally, she was glad to see her friend again. Now that the races were over for the day and they were on their own, they could talk about anything they wanted without worry. What made it especially nice was the fact that Vanellope was sick and unable to race, so there wouldn't be any glitching going on. Taffyta loved that fact, obviously, but she decided to take the conversation in a different direction. Namely, she wanted to talk about how some of their fellow racers had looked absolutely ridiculous in some of the races they had been in.
"Did you see Crumbelina in that one race? The way she spun out and crashed into Snowana before getting hit by that ice cream from Gloyd was hilarious." Taffyta said. That was just the beginning. Taffyta could have gone on for ages about all the dumb moves she had seen during the races.

Priscilla snickered. "Yeah they looked pretty stupid. Minty got hit pretty bad too, getting hit by not one but two sweet seekers, one right after the other. That was pretty funny." seeing the girl fly out of control only to keep getting hit was something that Priscilla loved. If the other racer hadn't done it, Priscilla certainly would have. There was something bothering her though. Candle hadn't done bad, but she hadn't done good either. Priscilla had been hoping that her sister would never want to race again.
But now she was not so sure.

"I kind of wish that we could have seen something dumb happen to Vanellope. Then again, with her stuck in that big old castle with whatever it is she caught makes it better." Taffyta commented. Oh, it was fairly safe to say that the blonde racer hadn't felt that free in a long time. Before everything had been reset, she had been free to be as mean about the other racers as she liked. Once Vanellope had been restored as President, though, that freedom had to be diminished to some degree in favor of acting like she was friends with their leader. No more, though. Now she was free to do and say whatever she wanted.
"Did anything dumb happen to Candlehead? I kind of lost track of her after a while." Taffyta said. It was true, strangely enough. After the first handful of races, Taffyta had been more focused on herself and how Priscilla had been doing. Why was that? Probably because she was just concerned for how her new friend was doing in the races. Nothing more than that, right? "Even if it didn't, it would have been funny to see. You know, since she's kind of out of her league when it comes to racing with us." she said.

"That's a bit of an understatement." Priscilla replied smirking again, her baby sister would never come close to the two of them, even if she tried. "No i didn't see, but from what i remember is that she got 5th which is an improvement from how she normally does." If she had it her way, her sister would be dead last or out of the races forever. "Not that we have anything to worry about, we're the best."

"Yeah, you're probably right. Usually she just barely places unless she gets lucky. Guess someone gave her a bit of luck or something, not like it mattered that much." Taffyta laughed. She didn't really seem bothered by the fact that she was making fun of her former friend. In fact, Taffyta seemed pretty satisfied by it. Her own way of getting revenge for supposedly being abandoned. If Candlehead could see her then, there surely would be an explanation needed. Taffyta didn't care about that fact, though. Things were going great as far as she was concerned and she didn't want to go back on anything she had said. Not for anything in the world.
"Wonder where she ended up after the race. Probably ran off to go look after the poor widdle sick glitch Vanellope." Taffyta said. Her voice turned sort of babyish when she started to mock the present situation with Vanellope. Oh, if only she could get into the castle on her own without being noticed and questioned. Then she'd really have something fun to do. "Let the little glitch suffer. It's her own fault she got sick in the first place, right?" she asked.

"Yeah, her own stupid fault. That glitchy power of hers should not be allowed in races. It's cheating." Priscilla replied. "Besides, who cares if Candle went to check on her. One less racer to worry about right? Who needs her to drag us down."

"Right. And yet the players love her for it. Stupid is what it is, and even stupider that she's allowed to use it." Taffyta said. What she didn't realize, though, was that perhaps the pair of them weren't alone anymore. Maybe not right then, but there was a good chance that someone could just waltz up to them and overhear their whole conversation. If Taffyta acknowledged that fact, though, it wasn't immediately obvious.
At length, she slid into a sitting position with one leg crossed over the other and huffed a little in annoyance. Bringing up Vanellope always succeeded in annoying her, but it also blew off some steam at the same time. She had no idea how that worked out, either.
"Let's just think of something else to talk about. It's not like anyone from Vanellope's little fan club will hear this, anyway."

"Right right." Priscilla raised an eyebrow at the idea of the girl even having fans. She didn't even have any in the stands that she knew of. Taking out another pocky she put it in her mouth before trying to think of what to talk about.
Unaware of that her baby sister had heard just about the last of the conversation. Wanting to congradulate her blonde friend on winining the race. The young girl stopped her happy pace to a slow walk, catching sight of her sister. "Uh, hi Tafftya, Priscilla..."

Blue eyes shifted from the nonexistent spot she had been staring at to Candlehead as she walked up to her and Priscilla, and a grin Candlehead might have been familiar with appeared on Taffyta's face. It was the sort of look that would usually mean trouble for Vanellope. Since Vanellope wasn't around, though, Taffyta would make due with who she thought of as a former friend. She flicked her lollypop to the side and straightened herself out some, but didn't rise from her siting position just yet. No, she wanted to stay there for a bit longer.
"Well, well, Priscilla. Look what the cat dragged in." Taffyta sneered. By that point, it was readily apparent that she had slipped back into her bullying sort of ways. Did she regret it? Not in the least. It was then that she stood up again and shifted her weight to one side so that she was standing sort of slanted with one hand against her hip. This was going to be fun.
"What's the matter, Candlehead? Didn't have anyone else to talk to since our dear President is out of it?" she asked.

Candle looked at her friend with confusion. "N-no that's not it. I wanted to..." her voice trailed off, this was not the same Tafftya, this was old mean Tafftya, the one that talked her into bullying vanellope in the first place. In truth, Candle had always felt a little bit of regret about picking on the glitch, but having wanted to fit in with the cool kids, she had done as Tafftya had told her to. "I wanted to congratulate you on winning."
"Oh, isn't that cute. Tafftya you have a fan." Priscilla laugh was like knives to Candle. The fellow sister met her younger one's eyes with narrowed malice. Cruel mean girl malice. "Listen sweetie, you may not know this but Tafftya doesn't need you to praise her, she knows she's the best."

She wanted to congratulate her? That would have been adorable if not for the fact that Taffyta was hard set on exacting her own brand of revenge. It probably wasn't even all that rational to begin with, but Taffyta didn't care. It was payback time for being abandoned in favor of Vanellope. She didn't speak right away and instead allowing Priscilla to get her own two cents in before jumping in once more. No more nice, sweet Taffyta from before. She may have been nice at one point and she might not have been. In all honesty, Taffyta didn't even really know herself. All she knew at that point was that she was about to start dishing out some long overdue punishment.
"She's right, Candlehead. I don't need your congratulations. I've never needed you at all." Taffyta said. In the back of her mind she wondered if that was true, but that thought was quickly squashed by another that was ready to bubble up. Rational thinking seemed to have flown out the window temporarily and Taffyta didn't care in the slightest. Bitch mode was engaged.
"Don't think I don't know how you've been spending so much time with that little glitch of a racer. And I know she's not technically a glitch, but with that power of hers she might as well be. As far as I'm concerned, you and that glitch Vanellope are at the bottom of the food chain. Priscilla and I are the top racers around here now." Taffyta stated. As she spoke, she had inadvertently moved toward Candlehead in a manner not unlike how she had when she had been bullying Vanellope in the junkyard what seemed like an eternity ago. It was almost ironic that she was now doing the same to someone she once counted among her friends.

"V-vanellope isn't a glitch. She's nice." Candle said taking a few steps back. "She's my friend. She's your friend too you know." the green haired girl finally said, as she stepped back again, not allowing herself to meet the blonde girl's eyes.
"Ha! Friend? Candle, don't you know that you have no friends?" Priscilla asked. "No one really likes you." her laughter hurt as she smirked evilly. "Face it, you are nothing to this game." the fellow green haired girl stood up and put a hand on her hip. "How many races have you actually won?"
"T-t-that's not true!" Candle said, hoping that the blonde would say something in her defense. But this wasn't the Tafftya she knew. "I...i am something to this game. I'm a racer."

Part of Taffyta, the part that still had some desire to revive the friendship, did nag slightly and want to defend the poor green-haired girl. Unfortunately, it seemed that the majority of Taffyta was against that idea wholeheartedly. She finally stopped in her advance, though, and shook her head at the idea of defending Candlehead. Before Priscilla had come along she probably would have clung to the idea of Candlehead still being her friend and, naturally, would have defended her. As it stood, though...
"Yeah, you're a racer. You're just not a very good one." Taffyta stated. "Let's think about this for a minute. Before all this happened, back when you were still the laughing stock of all of us, who took pity on you? Me and Rancis. But not anymore. I don't need you weighing me down." she said. It was true, at least in Taffyta's mind. Before King Candy had come along and changed things, Candlehead had been on one of the lower rungs of the racing ladder. Taffyta and Rancis had befriended her, but whether or not it was out of any true desire for friendship was hard to determine. Taffyta saw it as nothing more than taking her under their wing because they pitied her. Or, that was how she was coming to think of it with her mind clouded by whatever desire it was to see the green-haired girl hurt.
