Okay, rather a random question I guess, but I stumbled across my old Year 7 school photo today - kinda embarassing to see myself looking so young XD - and as a result, I guess I'm just curious is all. I know most of you in America never even had to wear a school uniform at all, but I was just wondering if there was anyone else on here who, like me, had/has to wear a uniform for school, and if so, what it was like. I know we certainly did in the school I went to. For the first couple of years, we had a full shirt-tie-blazer uniform that was compulsory (as I said, photo's right here as if I needed the proof XP) - and then about half way through our time there, the entire uniform was randomly changed to polo-shirts and fleeces Still don't get why they did that, but fortunately those of us who had started with the old uniform got to keep it all the way through.

I went to a Catholic private school in my childhood so I had to wear a school uniform up until fifth grade. I wa a bit of a tomboy back then so I would always try to avoid wearing a jumper as best as possible. XD Thankfully I left right before middle school started, so I got to avoid wearing a skirt for the rest of my time there. X3

The Catholic school my neighbors go to makes them wear uniforms, but my school doesn't.

The school I went to from fourth to twelfth grade had a uniform for all the different grades. Lower school, middle school, and high school all had different uniforms. I remember in fourth and fifth grade I had to wear this white blouse and a plaid skirt, along with a blue tie. Middle school I had to wear a plaid skirt and a blue or white blouse along with a dark blue sweater vest. High school was essentially the same as middle school, only with a khaki skirt instead of a plaid skirt... and then in senior year I had this really cool robe that only the seniors could wear. Made me feel like I was at Hogwarts.
At my university, though, there's no dress code that I'm aware of. We can pretty much wear whatever we want.

I've had to wear a school uniform!
My current school uniform is a white shirt, maroon skirt, maroon tie and grey cardigan with a grey blazer.

Kayla likes to beat me to the punch at this kind of stuff -_-
But yes, we've got a private Catholic school across the street (or somewhat close to) our high school. As far as I'm concerned, I know the elementary/middle school are required to wear uniforms (the kids across the street go there & our neighbors used to), but I don't know about the high school. I think the high school might be free dress.

This is what my uniform looked like : www.majhost.com/gallery/matoran03/JustRandom/me.pngDamn, it's embarassing seeing myself at that age XD Once we got to sixth-form, though, (years 12-13) we got to wear free dress; it was just the first five years at secondary school that had to wear the uniform.

So wait, you have a uniform for band, but just not for school? Or is it only the blazers you have to wear for that?

We have band uniforms. The blazer Sapphire was referring to was our band uniform in middle school. And yes, we have uniforms just for band and not for school.
