Totes doing this. I'm REALLY bored.
VitanixJasiri
why did you pair them?
I wanted Vitani to have children in my TLK3 story, and I REALLY don't like KopaxVitani.
what were the first impression on each other?
In my story, they grew up together; when Zira was off privately training Kovu and Nuka was being....Nuka, Vitani would go off and play with Jasiri.
What are their differences?
Well, in build, Jasiri looks more like a pridelander, down to his nose and eye shape. (His father is Mheetu). As he was never a REALLY important character, I haven't fully developed him. But he's a bit more daring than Kovu; I like to think he was Vitani's "partner in crime" when they were kids. His mother is also...not Zira; he's had a mother's love--a REAL mother's love--and even though it embarasses him, he feels for Vitani because he can see how awful a mother Zira is, even if Vitani can't see it sometime.
As an adult, Jasiri is still a wild rogue, but less hardened and vicious as Vitani was; he still retained some of his childish mischeviousness.
what are their similarities?
Both are daring/adventurous/troublemakers. Neither have a father figure present. Both are also outlanders.
what were the obstacles or traits that made it difficult to get along?
Vitani was a bit like "Katherine" in "Taming of the Shrew." She was often the one to lead Jasiri into their mischief: the more aggressive and wild one. Her morals were much lower than Jasiri's--though not by much--and sometimes that made for conflict. However, Vitani was ALSO very adament about following her mother's orders; when Zira needed her for something, she refused to bend the "rules" in order to play with Jasiri. This frusterated Jasiri to no end.
what brought them together?
A chance reunion past the ending of Simba's pride I'm thinking Vitani wandered off on her own for a bit; maybe having a moment of self-pity: she still, sometimes, felt like an outsider amongst the pride, and while she was glad there was no more fighting, Vitani still felt like she didn't fit in. And that she was alone. Kiara still had her family, Kovu had Kiara, even Dotty had cubs and a sister. Vitani was essentially alone. (When Kovu learns he's not ACTUALLY Vitani's sister I have yet to fit in fanonically.) She goes off for a few days, just wandering, and meets what she thinks is a rogue lion....it takes a verbal and nearly a physical quarrel before she realizes who the rogue actually is.
who made the first move?
I think Jasiri did. He was always better with that kind of emotion. Granted, it was after some time of wandering around and enjoying life the way they'd never been able to as children, but he still DID make the first move.
how they act when they´re together? are they ashamed to show it on public?
They don't stay together: They care about each other, but Vitani....I haven't worked that out yet. I don't know if something happens to Jasiri or if Vitani just wants to go back; she's been an "outsider" all her life and while she still feels that way some times, she really does have a home in the pridelands now. I figure something must happen to the both of them for her to realize that and want to go home. I just have yet to figure out what.
how does their family feel friends feel about their relationship? do they know what the others are thinking?
As cubs, Jasiri annoys the crap out of Nuka. As do most cubs. Kovu doesn't really know him but on the off chance he follows Vitani and Jasiri on one of their adventures he ends up feeling like a third wheel. Zira actaully exiles Jasiri from the outlands when he hits adolescence: there can be only ONE chosen male, and only ONE leader of the outlands. Not worried about Nuka, Zira wants the only OTHER male "threat" gone.
As adults, I think Kovu's more surprised than anything else that Vitani didn't stay with Jasiri. Since they were inseperable as kids.
what are the problems in their relationship?
I have yet to work this out XD;; but as adults, I wonder if maybe Vitani realizes that, while she enjoys seeing him again, the life he leads now just isn't for her.
what qualities bring them closer? (positive or negative)
Their childhood memories....whenever they (rarely) have a serious conversation about....whatever (as cubs)....and that they're both the only cubs with any "backbone" in the outlands and it's refreshing to be around someone like that.
they learn something from each other or they change they way they act? (it can be good or bad)
Uh....this I'm not sure of XD;; Their relationship isn't THAT developed. But Again, it's probably when their adults: they still have their memories, but they're so different now....a long term relationship just wouldn't work.
Think about it!
I think that's it for now XP If I can think of any more, I'll definitely do this again!
