Aka the British Bunny Book.
So has anybody besides me heard or read this book, Watership Down by Richard Adams?
I found this book way back in 6th grade when I was slowly starting to fade out of my Warriors trend. On a surprise whim, my dad ordered it for me, but I didn't start reading it until a year later.
It's a book about rabbits, basically. But, it's really no ordinary book- it's very dark-esque with a light message of home and where you're supposed to be. It's very well-written in my opinion, with everything described in full detail and you can just see it all and feel the whimsy.
One of the essences of the book I'm very, very fond of are the "folk stories" of the rabbits' fictional hero, El-Ahrairah and his best friend Rabscuttle. In fact, the sequel to it, Tales From Watership Down, is all composed of various stories, some about El-Ahrairah and some not. But the stories are one of my favorite parts- especially the story of the King's Lettuce <33
So, thoughts anyone?

I LOVE THIS BOOK TOO!!!! 8DDDDD *glomps*
It's definitely one of my favorite xenofiction books, right up there with Fire Bringer and Guardians of Ga'Hoole. The writing is so amazingly beautiful and the rabbits are realistic while being able to talk-- a feat not many xenofiction writers can pull off. And it's about frikken BUNNIES!!!

@mo- SWEET!! I can't believe someone else knows this wonderful piece of fiction!! I actually chose to do it for a book report this year (I had to draw a comic to it, a comic!), and my Language Arts teacher only let me do it because she loved the book as well, otherwise it was "too adult" for me. And since my friend is obsessed with British people, I started calling it the "British Bunny Book" to throw him off. XD @patchy- They have it available for Kindle download if you've got a Kindle, it's about $8 I think. Otherwise just check a library or bookstore near you, they're bound to have it. c:
