Across the Disneyverse is a multiuniversal Role Playing site, but it also serves as a community forum, one people can go to just to hang out and have fun.
Unlike many of the roleplaying sites floating around, Disneyverse has no specific plot, nor does it require RPers to choose/apply for certain characters, both animated AND live-action. Here, they have the freedom to play as whomever they want, at least, in moderation. There is also no set plot; the alternate/canon/non-Disney and next gen plot lines are left up to the role players.
However, this does not mean there are no rules or requirements for roleplaying. If you have a specific alternate universe in mind, you must pitch this idea in the acrossthedisneyverse.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=aup section of this forum, where you willl then get a sense of how many people are on board with this idea. If enough people are, you must then decide amongst yourselves who wants to play which character. If you canNOT decide nicely, or tend to claim the same character over and over again, the admins will step in and assign characters themselves.
If you have an alternate universe/idea/plot in mind, but no specific idea, you and those on board with this idea will go here: acrossthedisneyverse.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tp or, if you have no idea where to begin at ALL (for threads OR plotlines) go here: acrossthedisneyverse.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=umbrella
Once you've decided on a thread, you can then go to the appropriate RP section, and begin role playing. If, however, like a particular AU, but either miss the original character assignment, or want to explore something in this AU that the current thread doesn't, you must first ask the original creator of the AU if you can start a different thread that takes place in the same alternate universe. If they approve, you must go to acrossthedisneyverse.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tp , pitch the thread idea, and then see how many wish to join you, and assign yourselves characters.
The first post of each thread MUST include the list of characters and who is role playing as them. This is incase anyone gets confused, they have an easy referance to refer back to.
No matter the universe, plot or thread, you may NOT spontaneously do something that goes agains the idea you all had originally decided on. That isn't fair to your fellow role players.
OCs ARE allowed, but in moderation--if they add to your specific universe (i.e: giving Vitani an OC for a mate), or if they are a next generation character. TThis is largely a canon RPG, and should remain that way. They are also allowed in the Crack RPs, which are really there for madness' sake. ;D
If a particular universe is popular enough, it will gain its own section/board.
