Because I can, therefore I will. XP
I have two AU's: The non-Disney dogs AU (without Angel, the Cocker sisters, Buster, ect.) and the Disney dogs AU (with everyone mentioned and more).
Non-Disney Dog AU Lucky, Rolly, Cadpig and Spot all have their own gang on the farm that are most well-known. Mooch, Wizzer, Dipstick, and Two-Tone have their own group that serve as threat to Lucky's group. Rebecca gets left behind from DeVil Ville and, after a small panic attack and picking up Lucky and company's scent trails, leads herself to the Dearly Farm. She doesn't find Lucky right away, and instead, falls victim to a prank that Mooch was intending to pull on Lucky. She has another minor freakout, but gathers her bearings and informs Mooch that what they're doing could have "hurt her" and that it's "not right", ect. ect. She walks off, a lot less confident than before, and Mooch is outraged.
After a bit more searching she's finally pointed in the right direction by Penny and Jewel, and she reunites with Lucky, Cadpig, Rolly and Spot. None of them, of course, remember her except for Spot, but they still see it as a good opportunity to make a new friend and maybe even add a new member to their group. Over time, Rebecca starts to come out of her shell and starts to make friends with other puppies. The others soon learn that she isn't as submissive as she appears to be and is, in fact, quite good at leading the group. She even tries to push Lucky out of the role of leader more than once, which leads to a few arguments between the two. They progress through their adventures though, even finding love with other puppies; Lucky has a crush on Gay, Rebecca has a crush on Patch, Rolly has a crush on a Golden Retriever named Athena, and Cadpig fancies admiring Tripod from afar.
But one day Lucky gets fed up, and the two break out in a huge argument, causing Lucky to run off in his own direction and Rebecca off with the other members of the group. After they start exploring, they have another run-in with one of Mooch's misguided pranks. Rebecca once again tells him off, even asking why it's down to him and Dipstick (Wizzer's fate I'm still deciding and Two-Tone is enamored with Tripod) and leaves with the other three. Mooch is seething with anger, but he overhears Anita telling Roger that Dipstick is going to be adopted out to a woman named Chloe Simon. Mooch wants to have one last hurrah with his gang-mate before he has to leave, and he knows exactly what he wants to do.
He waits until Rebecca is apart from the group, and sics Dipstick on her around Hiccup Hole. He tries to move in on her as she politely declines, telling him that she already has a boyfriend and that Patch would be furious if she cheated on him. Dipstick, getting fed up with her excuses, ignores her pleas and rapes her on Mooch's command. Rebecca, of course, is traumatized and injured. She's also one thing that Dipstick was too dim to anticipate: pregnant.
Rolly, Cadpig, and Spot immediately get word and try to help her. They're able to carry her out of Hiccup Hole and halfway to the farm, where Lucky and Gay (his now-girlfriend) meet with them. They bring her to Anita and Roger who take her to the vet, and find that she's injured, as well as carrying Dipstick's children. Rebecca is crushed and in crazy amounts of suffering- not knowing what this "pregnant" word means, she assume she's under witchcraft and, in turn, is miserable and shut down. She goes to Perdita for comfort, who explains what's happening to her and provides her with a shoulder to lean/cry on. Patch provides her with the same amount of unconditional love and comfort, and swears to her that he will help raise them alongside the pups that they'll have and make them the best they can.
After that escapade, Lucky and Rebecca agree on a neutral base to be leader and co-leader together, although Rebecca is a bit wary of something like that happening to her again. They continue to adventure until Rebecca goes into labor near the farmhouse. She's helped by Cadpig and Perdita, and gives birth to two puppies- a male and a female. She and Patch name them together with a little help from Cadpig- Orpheus and Mallory. Two names with the same meaning: unfortunate.
Dipstick feels great remorse for this, but it's not until Dottie is pregnant with Oddball, Domino, and Little Dipper that he starts reflecting on what he'd done back in his farm days, and how bad he felt about it. He also wonders how Rebecca's children were raised, and hoped that they were good pups.
Meanwhile, Two-Tone has left Mooch for a different apple of her eye: Tripod, the athletic three-legged puppy. Cadpig feels a bit of resentment at her sister; she too has a crush on him, but is not as bold with coming out about her feelings. She instead plays submissive and lets Two-Tone have him, who was usually at every type of race or training that he would be running in. Eventually, they start mating, but it isn't until they're a little older that Two-Tone gets pregnant with Tripod's kids.
She's at first ecstatic about having his litter, but when she gives birth to a daughter born without her hind legs, she's furious. She refuses to nurse it, claiming it to be "even more of a freak than he is" and "no normal dog looks that way". In a fit of fury, she leaves the female behind, taking the male (who has all four legs and paws) with her. It's here where she reconciles with Mooch and they decide to be mates, for she knows with him she'll get normal puppies. She names the puppy Trip and eventually has two daughters and a son with Mooch: Maureen, Berk and Alma.
Tripod takes the female with him to Rebecca, begging her to spare some milk and nurse the puppy. Rebecca agrees and nurses her, with Tripod naming her Samantha. Cadpig confesses to Tripod, and Tripod agrees to mate with her and raise Samantha as their own. Samantha grows up without hind legs, as well with frequent problems with one ear and problems with a foreleg that later has to be amputated.
As they grow older, Rolly and Athena mate and have a son (Jupiter) and a daughter (also unnamed). Lucky and Gay mate as well, having two sons and two daughters (Faust and Alexander, and Felicia and Nellie). Rebecca and Patch, after a while of waiting, have two daughters and a son (Tipo, Ama, and unnamed) that they raise alongside Orpheus and Mallory. Spot settles down with Fitz, a cock on the farm that her mother is friendly with, and they have a son (Ernie) as well as several daughters (Gracie, Vicky, and Rosie). Tripod and Cadpig have two sons son and a daughter as well (Mark, Pegasus and Ginny) that they raise with Samantha, now nicknamed "Scoot" due to her doggy wheelchair.
Eventually Felicia, Ginny, Jupiter and Ernie form their own group of adventurers and follow in their parents' footsteps. -- Feedback? And enjoy! <:

Putting in a new addition to my non-Disney Dog AU, as I've finally been able to work with some ideas today. This is a 3rd-gen installment, but that may change depending on what I think would work.
My original idea was that Scoot, while she's only got one good leg and is crippled and wheelchair-bound, is not infertile. She and Jupiter eventually become mates and, after much hardship, finally try and have a baby. Scoot is pregnant, and Jupiter is overjoyed.
Born to them is one daughter, Ismene, who is missing one hind leg and is deaf in one ear. Ismene is also quite large for her age and rather shy, also a bit clumsy, much akin to her father.
There is a chance that I may change her to be a 3rd-gen daughter in the Disney Dogs AU, because the other future I saw for her was being a descendant of one of the Cocker sisters and getting close with the DanAce daughter, Antigone. She still needs development if I transfer her to that AU, but I know for sure that she'll still be painfully shy.
(We started reading Antigone today in school, hence the name. xP)

I'm beginning to piece together ideas for my third AU, which I'm beginning work on since I still need to figure out a few details in my second AU (I've been having a few different ideas concerning couples and the like).
This new AU is a combination of the Dalmatians/Disney Dogs/animated dogs crossovers, an anthro-verse, and somewhat of a spin on Kitexa's AU where all the puppies that weren't in the original 15 in the 1960 movie were adopted, except for this, I'm trying to find a way to fit in the novel puppies as well (Gay, Missis, Prince, ect.)
The setting I have in mind would be more of a school-esque setting, with the Dalmatians, the Dearly dogs, maybe Copper/a couple other non-101D/LatT dogs, and the other non-Disney dogs (I'm thinking Pooka, Raffles, and...I obviously need to think on this one a little more xD). They're about high school aged, perhaps freshman, and each have fit their roles mostly the same way they do in the show- Lucky has his gang, Mooch has his, ect.
I'm still ironing out pairings for this universe too, but I know I'm taking and running with the idea that Penny is gay and applying it to this universe, though with a small change in target. Penny isn't in love with Rebecca in this AU; she's in love with Colette. Something about the prissy cocker draws Penny like a magnet, and while she's pining over her, Colette is pretty oblivious and more enveloped with track-star Tripod or big-shot Lucky. I'm still on the fence as to whether I want Colette/Penny to go through or if I want to stick Penny with Annette. Decisions, decisions.
Lucky/Gay also goes on in this AU, as they are my OTP. Gay is the same as I've been portraying her- she's a bookworm, though she also has Lucky's spirit and longing for adventure in her. She's a little shyer than him, though, and he likes to "tease" her sometimes. One of his favorite ways of doing so (and I apologize for this now because some people may think of Sparky's, however I though it'd fit the couple) is by carrying her on his back, which does nothing but freak her out. She knows he has good intentions, though, and loves him back, big-shot and little kid he may be.
That's all I've got on this one for now. I'm going to try to smooth some more stuff over and update it.

I had another new development tonight- one that I think is going to stick with all of my AU's. This both solves the problem I was having with finding a mate for Wizzer, and gives me a lot of room to develop his character. And unlike Penny, where this only sticks in the anthro!AU, this one is fully universal.
In my AUs, Wizzer is gay.
Unlike Penny's reaction, where she finds it to be wrong, Wizzer accepted it at an early age. He first realized that he was this way when he met Patches- they spent quite a bit of time together, and while Patches saw them as great friends, Wizzer saw him as something more. Of course, he kept quiet about it, but he wasn't the least bit ashamed. Later on, when he joined Mooch's gang with his biological brother and sister, he found himself once again falling for a boy- this time, Mooch. This one was rather hard for Wizzer to keep his cool about, but again, he accepted himself for it. This also makes Patches feel somewhat abandoned by his friend, but Wizzer tries desperately to keep their friendship alive.
After quite a bit of time, however, the truth eventually comes out- I'm thinking it's after Wizzer confesses to Dipstick that he's in love with Mooch, and Dipstick accidentally reveals Wizzer's little secret. Mooch is shocked and a little unsure, which in turn makes him irrationally mad at his gang-mate. Wizzer breaks off of the group, just days before Dipstick is adopted by Chloe Simon and the gang starts to fall apart. He reconciles with Patches sometime after, who, while he's seeing Penny, accepts Wizzer for who he is.
Unfortunately, his dodgy bladder is somewhat of a turn-off to quite a few people, but he tries to get it under control. I'm not sure which direction I'm going to go with this, but the one idea I had (that I most likely will go with) is that he eventually outgrows it. Of course, this defect is the reason he goes to Mooch, and one of the reasons Mooch rejects him- ashamed by his incontinence, Wizzer tries to mask it with a tough attitude, to kind of make a name for himself on the farm. However, once the truth comes out, this is all gone, and out comes a genuinely nice, adventurous, and overall caring puppy. Some would say this change was for the better, but he's still left pining over the sheepdog.
He eventually finds love, but with who I'm still not sure ^^' I almost considered pairing him with Rolly but that would break an entire part of the 101D AU. I do know one thing, though- in the Disney Dogs AU, he and his mate adopt one of Rolly and Danielle's children (again, for what reason I'm still not sure). This daughter is rather plump for her young age and a little insecure, but also very high-spirited like her mother. She is named Logainne, after the character from "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."

Another update, this time concerning the Siamese twin dog.
She still has no name, however I have decided that she will be the child of Gregor and Rebecca. In addition to being born a Siamese twin, she also has a melanistic disorder, meaning she has no spots on her body (because, as I've stated quite a few times before, I don't remember her having spots in my dream, and honestly, I can't come up with a good pattern for her). Like most things, I'm still working out the details, but this leaves a pretty big mark on both Gregor and Rebecca. Lucky and Perdita both help to calm 'Becca down and try to forget the incident, and she and Lucky mate soon after.
Just to give some more development to her ^^

Been thinking a little more on certain relationships in my AUs, mostly between my next-gen kids and their siblings.
My LuckTones are the biggest one -- mostly because their whole "story" is shaky and was more or less a rip on Texa's. Which is bad. So while I'm still trying to work the kinks out of that, I do have the recent developments made in the attitudes and whatnots of their crazy children. This should probably go in my character thread, but...blah. Laziness.
Demetria "Demi" is no longer the youngest of the litter, but one of the middle children. Stout and a little round, she bears more resemblance to her mother than her father, which is something she's not exactly proud of. Demi is more or less batshit nuts. Diagnosed at a young age with schizophrenia and degenerative glaucoma, she is a ticking time bomb. She is blind in her right eye by the time she is six months old, and is losing eyesight fast, which triggers a lot of her irritation. Demi is not overly expressive; like most schizophrenic types, she does not show a whole good deal of emotional expression, and is somewhat apathetic. However, Demi does also show rather disorganized behavior, such as frequent crying over slight insults and unyielding bursts of rage or anger, typically triggered by her own thoughts and her inability to think straight. While she has a staggering speech impediment, she has a small voice in her head that constantly drives most of her actions and talks to her. She also sees hallucinations when triggered by specific smells and sights. Demi also has constant delusions of paranoia and believes that what she sees in books and on TV are her guides to life. She doesn't have many friends among the farm, as most are afraid of her attitude. Henceforth, she spends a lot of time holed up in the barn with TV or books, giving her all too many ideas and dictating how she acts towards others. The only sibling she could ever be considered "close" to is Claudandus, and that's not even saying much. Despite this reservedness, however, Demi has deemed herself the "protector" of her brothers, even though she's second-youngest. Her brothers don't particularly enjoy this, but she will get angry if they try to refuse.
As Demi gets older, the five spots on her left ear begin to fade one by one, showing her deteriorating mental health. She is around young adulthood when the last spot finally fades and schizophrenia ultimately wins. Taking the guidance from her books and her brain, Demi is able to maneuver a crude noose from a spare rope and a metal loop on one of the barn windows -- and ends up hanging herself from it.
Demi's full name, Demetria, is a Greek name derived from the goddess Demeter.
--
Claudandus "Claude" is still the oldest of the litter, albeit he does not fully grow up before he dies. He is born with a "baby paw" on one of his forelegs and has it amputated. Although it takes him a little longer than the others, Claude eventually manages to master walking with only three paws. Much like his sister, Claude takes to literature and television -- however, he runs in different circles. Although he is not schizophrenic, Claude is obsessed with the horror genre. Monsters, super fictitious science, biology...he loves it all. And with each book read and each old movie watched, Claude finds himself more and more enthralled with the idea of psychopathic tendencies and death. Of course, while he wants to execute this -- believing that he is a psychopath and he can do all of this -- he needs a victim. Donovan, Claude's youngest sibling and a real pain in his ass, seems to be the perfect victim. So, in his cold and calculating methods, Claude sets his trap and baits Donny behind the barn. He then immediately begins to torture and cause great pain to his brother, immune to the screams and pleas coming from him. However, Donny eventually dies under Claudandus's claws, and once Claude realizes that he took someone's life, he snaps. He begins to cause even more of a ruckus, howling and screaming with deep guilt, and the entire front part of his body is covered in his brother's blood. Roger arrives on the scene immediately, and is horrified at what he finds. He promptly takes Claude to the vet and has him euthanized.
Claudandus is named after the Claudandus Sect, as well as Claudandus himself from the movie Felidae. Claudandus is a cold, calculating cat that is behind the various murders of other cats in the neighborhood, and the Sect are his cultlike followers.
--
Tristan "Trist" is another one of the middle children, being slightly younger than Demi. Trist is born with underdeveloped vocal cords and stunted growth, leaving him without means of communicating to his siblings. He generally tends to stay out of their way, being more relatively "normal" than the others. Trist is mildly autistic as well, and much like the rest of his siblings, is somewhat outcasted by everyone else; not that he minds, of course. Trist is close with Donovan, despite the fact that Donovan tends to favor Claudandus over Tristan. Trist has the wish in the family that he and his siblings weren't so misunderstood, yet he himself is unable to voice such a wish. By the time Trist is an adult, he is bogged with depression, as well as PTSD from losing every one of his siblings.
Tristan lives the longest out of all four of the children, barely making it to adulthood. Fed up with the other farmdogs and somewhat scarred from his siblings' deaths, Tristan goes out to live on the streets. He is an incompetent hunter and not very streetwise, making more enemies than friends due to his nature and inability to speak. Soon enough, Trist finds himself cornered by a gang of larger dogs after accidentally stealing their dinner, and is brutally mauled by them. Starvation and blood loss eventually kills this pup.
His name means "sadness," and there is a Cornish knight Tristan in Arthurian legend (Tristan and Iseult).
--
Donovan "Donny" is now the youngest LuckTone in the litter. He keeps Two-Tone in labor for quite a while, and is eventually born with only two of his four legs fully developed, as well as stunted growth. As such, Donny has severe balance issues, which are (for the most part) remedied by a half-wheelchair fashioned for him by Roger. Donovan is a little slow on the uptake and pretty autistic (moreso than Trist), but he doesn't let that restrict him. Donovan is even outwardly friendly to the other dogs on the occasion, though most tend to disregard him due to his crippled structure. He is innocently optimistic and is not bothered the least bit by his half-legs. He looks up to Claude as a big brother, even when Claude shoos him away or threatens him. Donny also looks up to Tristan, despite the fact that his brother cannot talk, and gets very close to him. However, Donny's pestering of Claude and constant tagalong-ness eventually causes his eldest brother to lash out on him after baiting him behind the barn. Donovan is not quite aware of what Claudandus is doing to him when he begins to hurt him, but everything clicks into place as he is about to die. Even under these circumstances, Donovan finds himself forgiving Claude mentally before the last blow is struck.
His name means "strong fighter" in Celtic; an ironic definition, as Donovan was not strong in the least. --
I'll be coming back and doing these for some of my other characters as well, but for now, enjoy!

Fleshing out my Mootones today while working on my 101D-exclusive AU! Maureen is the oldest of the litter, slightly surpassing her sister in terms of age. Maureen is rather eccentric, to put it simply. She loves to sing loudly, developing her voice as she gets older, and she is always coming up with some crazy scheme or another for her friends. Her one greatest wish is based on a dream she had: to jump over the moon riding Duchess the cow. Maureen is also an activist for several causes she's come up with on her own, most of which are looked upon as ridiculous by the populous of the farm. Despite her quirkiness, Maureen has steadfast friends in her sister, Cadpig's son, and a few others. The most notable of these companions is a Labradoodle named Jojo, who Maureen is currently dating. Despite their clear differences in attitude and ideals, the two get along and love each other through thick and thin. Maureen is named after the character from RENT, and acts much like her namesake. -- Mimi is Kayla's, and the one closest to Maureen's age from Two-Tone's first litter with Mooch. She also acts largely like her namesake, so I won't elaborate too much on that, as she's not my character. -- Alma, however, is the youngest in their first litter, with a huge competitive streak. She takes her mother's vanity and applies it to her competitive streak, taking great pride in her successes. Being younger than Maureen, Alma hungers for constant attention to hide her insecurities of being overshadowed, and tries to show her elder sister up in most things they do together. The most notable example would be a small field competition that the two of them entered, in which Alma emerged the victor. Unable to let such a success go, Alma bears the first-place medal around her neck in place of her actual collar. Alma has a few friends on the farm; however they are not quite as close with her as Maureen's group, and the good number of them tend to get annoyed more often than not by Alma's bragging. The closest pup to Alma is her half-brother, Trip, whom she enjoys practicing with daily to genuinely improve her skills. According to Behind the Name, Alma means "victory." -- Berk is the product of Mooch and Two-Tone's second and final litter, and is the youngest from said litter. While he is somewhat close with his sisters (particularly Alma), Berk is very much a daddy's boy with an attitude to match. He is undersized for his age and carries much of Mooch's sheepdog attributes, which cripples his confidence. Due to these insecurities, Berk takes after his father's old ways and begins to pick on the other dogs on the farm, roping some of his other friends into it -- most notably his uncle Dipstick's son, Domino. Berk is a little shy outside of this, using his loudmouth-ness to try and cover up any awkward feelings he might have in social situations. I'm still working on his development, so this may change. Berk is named after a character from a character in the Babysitters Club book series, who, along with two other characters, fool some kids into believing that aliens are going to come take over their playground. And his name may or may not have also been inspired by How To Train Your Dragon. >w>

Doing a little more character-development drabbling, mostly focusing on my 101D AU.
Since Cass was cut from AotW, and since I've done too much with his development to cut him out at this stage of the game, I needed to find a spot for him in one of my AUs. Lo and behold, inspiration hit me like a truck last night, and now I have a new set of characters to develop.
Cassius (no longer Cassio), known simply as Cass to his team, is the leader of a street gang in London. Growing almost to the size of a Beagle, he is nicknamed the "Smuggle Puggle" because of his craftiness in executing plans for food, as well as keeping their territory secure. The group is a big ol' band of misfits, at least one of which is a Dalmatian mix. They store and steal food, sometimes get in fights with other gangs, and all that good fun stuff.
This is the gang that kills Tristan when he is living on the streets.
As stated before, Cassius "Cass" is the leader. Suave and sharp, he's a prime example of a dog that was born and raised in the consistent face of danger. He knows how to steal food, as well as charm the humans into giving it to him. However, he is also reckless and sometimes doesn't think things through as well as he thinks he does. The scar over his right eye is a prime example of his impetuousness in the past. Cass was owned by a family for a very brief period of time, but could not find him capable of adjusting to the life. However, he still wears his black collar with the silver ring around the front where his tags used to be. Like in Warriors, how most of the cats in BloodClan wore collars with dog teeth poked through them. Cass is also unusually big for his hybrid, growing to be nearly as big as a Beagle.
A little black-and-lemon-spotted Dalmatian mix serves as Cass's lackey. Nobody knows quite for sure what he's mixed with or who his parents are, as he has an unusually long tail and some extra fluff, yet he is pure white with black and yellow spots. Some even speculate that he's just an undersized, long-coated Dalmatian. He is hyper-observant, crafty, and a bit trigger-happy when it comes to using any sort of "weapon." Much like Tito from Oliver and Company, he can work with electricity, though he's not very good at it. He can also fit into most small spaces that the others can't, due to his size. He was more-or-less raised alongside Cass, therefore their personalities rubbed off on each other throughout their childhoods. I adopted this character...a while ago, actually, from Mizan. I think it was because I wanted at least one Dalmatian character that had other coloration, despite the fact that he was clearly a Dal-Pom mix? Whatever. I'm just glad I found a place for him. ^^
Other members include: -A female Husky mix, who was originally a SteeleTone daughter I adopted from Spiritumiracle on dA. SteeleTone is actually one of my NOTPs, but I think I adopted her with the intent of using her in my original works...and then never using her. xD
-Bianca and Paisley, mutt sisters and really old characters that Sapphire let me have because she has no use for them. Bianca is Cass's on-again off-again girlfriend who really gets around, and Paisley is a more adventurous and not to mention reserved spirit. I'm thinking she was adopted by humans for a while, while Bianca either lived on the streets her whole life or, like Cass, was adopted for a short time but couldn't adjust.
-A purebred Golden Retriever who was...maybe born on a nearby farm and left around adolescence. He too is suave, but he's a bit of a player. His first mate is another purebred Golden from a local house. He isn't extremely loyal to her, but he does check in every so often. A while after, though, he goes off and has an affair with a show poodle. This causes tension between his children and his previous mate alike. Outside of this, he is a bit hotheaded, being a larger size for his breed as well and not afraid to be violent if he wants to. He kind of wants the leadership title for himself, finding himself more fit than Cass is to run the pack, but keeps quiet about his ambition. He is the father of Athena (Rolly's mate, a purebred Golden) and Jojo (Maureen's mate in the second-gen, a goldendoodle). Jojo is about a year younger than Athena is, and is the age of the puppies on the farm by the time Athena has her first litter with Rolly. Jojo ends up dating Mooch and Two-Tone's daughter, Maureen.
-Possibly Collins (the grandson of the Labrador from the first movie) or Angel, but they end up leaving.
