Hate Art Blogs

Or whatever they are called. Also please move this if it's not in the right area.

Anyway I follow a bunch of so called 'hate art blogs' on tumblr, such as Socially Unacceptable Art and Laughable Lion King Fanart. I think sometimes they are freaking wierd as hell and show the strange side of the internet that MAYBE we aren't suposed to see.

However, the people who run these sites make fun of people like hardcore. I know for a fact that Socially Unacceptable Art hits on this one girl pretty hard for being REALLY in love with a Spyro (?) character. And the lion king one hits on a few artists as well. Some of these blogs even showcase kids' art and call it terrible and point out the flaws.

So what I wanna know is, what do you guys think about these blogs? Do you think they are mean by making fun of so called "bad" artists, weird pairings or fetish art? Or are they just funny and people need to learn to take a joke?

If you need links I'll provide them but Socially Unacceptable Art may burn your eyes clean out of the sockets with some of the shit up there XP

To be honest... I'm a chick who used to stalk the screencap section of the Butthurt Brigade group on DA and cackle maliciously at all the arguments, so I'm probably more okay with this kind of stuff than I should be XD;;
When it comes to insulting people for real though it's not cool. These people are bashing like 12-year-old kids aren't they? That's not very cool at all. Older artists, fine, but it's when it gets to anyone under 13 I won't tolerate bashing towards.
Otherwise yeah, people shouldn't be super uptight. Bad art is bad art, plain & simple XD I guess if it's really harsh bashing then no? Bah idk, I haven't seen the sites so I can't really say for sure XD
...I would like a link to the Socially Unacceptable Art though... bad art is always fun to look at >3

Bashing kids is going WAY too far. Most kids are still learning anatomy and different poses. Not every kid has an artistic flare. All they need is constructive criticism that will help them, not flamers and bullies.

To be honest, I think bashing older people is going too far too. They shouldn't bully people for drawing what they like. If you hate their art and make a blog, fine. That's your opinion, but they shouldn't be flaming people for it. I would report those people if I saw them.

I'll admit, I don't like these kinds of blogs. Sometimes they can be funny but if you're targeting someone who's really young or some older artists. It's saddening for me to see it xD the only one like this that I found and really liked was one about bad Warrior Cats fanart and fancharacters. That one was actually kind of funny.

I guess the reason why I don't like these types of things is because a girl I follow on dA does this kind of stuff. We used to be really good friends but then she started making "parody artwork" (basically taking the picture and making her own really bad version of it) of some 15-year-old girl's Koopa OC. That just doesn't sit right with me. ><

I don't follow these blogs, but sometimes I just view them (like a.. fyeahmarysues blog I think.) I know I've seen the lion king one before and.. my eyes, ouch. I'm not gonna bash the artists on them but I do get a chuckle out of seeing some things they post.

Internet can be a dangerous place of course.. so in some ways I'd like to say "unless you can take a joke then gtfo."

But the bashing/flaming, I don't agree with it I guess?? *shrug*
