Christmas has come and gone, and the new year has just begun. Boredom that comes from the lull following those two things sets in, and it makes for a long, dull winter. To solve that problem, a group of characters gets together for a trip to the mountains so they can have fun in the snow. What adventure awaits them in the wilderness? What if they end up snowed in? Find out!
Here's who's who:
Phantom: Hiccup, Rapunzel Mo: Darren, Kyle, Bernadette, Leonard, Howard Zee: Silas, Ari ShadePrincess: Jack Spicer, Flynn Partner/Angel: Hermione Nama: Emily Clearwater Paws: Ingrid, Benny Sapphire: Puddle Two-Tone: Ash, Kari Solaurea: Taylor, Clopin
-----
It had been a hassle getting everybody together in one place, that much could be said with certainty. In the end, Hiccup had resorted to looking into renting a vehicle big enough to transport all of them to the mountains. That in and of itself was a difficult task since Hiccup didn't actually have a lot of money, but in the end he had somehow succeeded in achieving his goal. Finding someone to drive hadn't been difficult since there were capable drivers in their group. Once they had arrived at their destination of a cabin, though, everything seemed to fall into place.
They had arrived late at night (or was it early in the morning?) and spent what little hours of night that were left catching up on much needed sleep. Hiccup appeared to be the first one up that morning, as when he came down the stairs he found himself with no one to greet him. Upon glancing up at the clock on the wall nearest him, Hiccup saw that it was about eight in the morning. A fairly average time for him to wake up, he supposed. All he had to do was wait for the others. It wouldn't be a problem, though. Hiccup was used to waiting.
The redhead approached the couch in the middle of the living room and sat down, letting his prosthetic leg drape over his real leg, and leaned back against the piece of furniture. How long was he going to have to wait? Who knew? Everyone needed different amounts of sleep, after all, so it could have been a while before he actually saw anyone.
To his surprise, there was another person coming down the stairs already. Rapunzel was used to waking up early, so it came as no surprise to her that she was up right then. "Good morning!" Rapunzel called cheerfully to her redheaded companion, who waved a little to signify that he had heard her. "Where are the others? I thought we were going to have fun in the snow." Rapunzel said.
"Sleeping still, I bet." Hiccup replied, rolling his eyes a little and letting his arms drop to his sides at last. "Give them time. They'll show up sooner or later." he said. At least, Hiccup hoped the others would join him and Rapunzel soon. He was hoping they could finally begin to chase away the winter blues.

Benny had risen earlier than his companion. Hiking in the mountains was something he missed doing terribly- he used to do it all the time with his father before his parents divorced. Thick male gave a melancholy sigh. Today was going to be pretty good.
In his process of rolling over and getting up to go downstairs, his companion stirred in her sleep, her green optics popping open. Ingrid sleepily lifted her head and stared at Benny who was looking down at her. Her long auburn hair was a knotted mess, and there was clear aggravation in her gaze.
"Benny!" she whispered huffily. "What. Are. You. DOING!? You woke me up!"
Benny grinned sheepishly. "I'm awful sorry, Ingrid. I'm just excited, that's all." He started to make his way towards the staircase, and Ingrid drowsily followed.
Upon reaching the downstairs, Benny gave a small nod at Hiccup and Rapunzel, acknowledging them almost immediately. Ingrid waved sheepishly, trying to untangle her hair.
"Well hi there," Benny smiled. "Seems we're not the only ones up. How'd y'all sleep?" he asked to no-one in particular.

Meanwhile Ash had awoken as he let out a yawn "Man what a night, well part night." the pokemon trainer muttered to himself as he headed downstairs "I'm starving, I wonder when breakfast is?" he wondered to himself as he walked downstairs.
Meanwhile Kari had gotten out of bed as she yawned "Well I better get up" She turned and got up, gathering her D-Terminal she checked it for any emails, to her suprise there was nothing new. "hmm no emails today, suprising since Davis usually floods my email with sloppy love letters." Kari shuddered at the thought of Davis emailing her again, she hoped for an email from TK as she sets her D-Terminal down and went downstairs to get breakfast "I sure hope Gatomon is okay in Digiworld."

Darren woke up cold and still groggy after a well-needed rest after sitting in a car for hours. He didn't really mind road trips, since he always had his iPod to block out the real world, but sitting down for such a long time at such an altitude that was freezing and made his ears pop while his earbuds were still in (which was a really weird feeling and it was a hassle to take his earbuds out just to yawn) wasn't exactly the time of his life. However, the long trip hadn't discouraged him from the day ahead. He sat up and stretched, skin instantly cold at the air that suddenly leaped on him as the fabric rose from the stretch. He carefully slid out from under the covers, careful not to wake his sleeping companion, her brilliant red hair and freckled face almost shining form the bright white dawn spilling in from the windows, only to find she was awake and staring at him with a smile. "Crap, did I wake you up? Darren asked apologetically, pushing back some particularly rebellious strands of dusty blonde hair from his face. "Nah, I've been up for a while, you're cool," Kyle replied with a wave of her hand. She pushed the covers back and slid out of bed as well, instantly heading to her bag to pull out a bra. "It's so weird to see you without boobs," Darren chuckled. "But you make a convincing lady anyway." "Shut up," Kyle exclaimed snappishly but not without humor as she tossed a pair of socks at him. She quickly put the stuffing in her bra, pulled off her shirt, revealing the natural chest and torso of a boy (which Kyle loathed with all her being), and slipped the bra on. She didn't want to go downstairs without the bososm she'd had the night before, not willing to take the chance to answer weird questions. She was a woman. She'd always been one. She'd just been stuck in the wrong body... But she pushed the thought aside as she and Darren made their way downstairs. They spotted Hiccup, Ash, and Rapunzel and cheerfully gave a polite "good morning" to both. Darren dramatically flopped down on a chair and exclaimed a bit too loudly than was nessesary, "SO. How is everyone this fine morning?" He ignored Kyle's giggling mutter of, "You're such a dork."
((I'll bring in my BBT chars later. You forgot to put Howard, btw, Phantom, just fyi. XDD And yes, Kyle is a male-to-female transgender, just so there's no confusion.))

Red head yawned as he stretched out of bed. He hoped that nothing too exciting was going on back home. As much as he had wanted to start inventing things as soon as possible. His mother had forbid it. Apparenlty spending all your time in a basement wasnt "healthy," hence why he was on the trip.
He was looking forward to this actually. Not even bothering to brush his hair he nodded a good morning before setting to work on eating cereal.

Taylor was still curled up in her bed, surrounded by mounds of blankets. She was becoming a little irritated by the light shining into her eyes, and she turned over to face the wall, in order to avoid anymore of the sunlight. It was way too early for her, and she was tired from the trip it took to get up to the cabin.
After some minutes struggling to sleep, Taylor gave up. With a groan, she rolled out of bed, rubbing her eyes vigorously. “I hate everything.” Taylor mumbled, as she shuffled across the floor, and to the door. The brunette then headed downstairs, where it seemed that everyone else was going for breakfast or something. Taylor herself was feeling a bit hungry as well. She hadn’t even bothered to brush her hair.
She blindly found a seat next to some red-headed kid, and flopped down, her forehead slamming onto the table. “Ow.” Taylor muttered, as she lifted her head back up for a moment. Deciding that the effort to keep her head up was too much at the moment, Taylor touched her head to the table again, lying on one cheek instead of her forehead, which was throbbing with pain.
“Looks like someone didn’t get enough sleep. Why didn’t you just stay in bed, hm?” a voice asked. Looking up a bit, Taylor squinted at the gypsy sitting before her, on the other side of the table. “Shut up, Clopin. I’m too tired.” Taylor said. Clopin only shrugged, and returned to playing with his cereal, which he had somehow obtained from somewhere.

Puddle kept looking out the window next to the redhead, a huge smile painted on her face. It looked like, like fluffy feathers were falling from the sky. Never had the curly-haired girl seen such a thing before. All she knew was the jungle where she lived with her mom, and the mansion where she lived with Steve where it never did any sort of weather like this! To the girl it looked like ice cream was falling from the sky. No, couldn't be that...
But nonetheless it was amazing, beautiful and mysterious all at the same time. It wasn't like the rain she was used too, it was much, much better. It didn't seem to get anything wet, and no one seemed to want to rush inside. And that's why she wanted to go out. To see what this mysterious event was. The brunette turned to face everyone, an excited grin spreading over her face. "Hey guys, can we go outside?"
In her excitement, the girl failed to notice how tired everyone was. It was understandable, the car ride was rather long, it even seemed to stop at points. And they all seemed to act like Steve on a hangover. But still her question hung in the air, waiting for someone to answer it. "Maybe we can build snowmen, or make snow angels, or have a snowball fight!" the little girl added, trying to liven things up a bit.

Well. This was... awkward. Leonard Hofstadter lay wide awake in bed, even though he was absolutely exhausted. The trip was pretty irritating, as all he'd done was stare out the window at the never ending masses of coniferous trees and snow, since Howard and Bernadette were occupied with eachother and nobody else would shut up. He had gotten his own bed, thankfully, but it was in the same room as the two lovebirds, which means they inevitably celebrated the journey with some well-deserved, rowdy, and unbelievably noisy sex. With him in the room. Of course he hadn't slept-- how could anyone have slept witnessing... that?! And now for some odd reason Howard had stumbled into his bed and was cuddling him. Cuddling him. This. Is. AWKWARD. He carefully pried himself from the clammy (ew) grasp of one Howard Wolowitz, and out of bed. Anything to get out of that room, which still smelled sweaty. Ugh. At least when HE had sex he had the decency to do it ALONE with his partner, AWAY from other people. He made his way downstairs, finding everyone else (who were pretty significantly younger than him, which was a little weird, but they had to have someone of age to accompany them) out in the living room socializing. He wasn't really in the mood to talk, as he was still thunderstruck from last night. So he simply grabbed something to eat to silence his rumbling stomach... something that wasn't cereal. Damn this lactose intolerance. There was barely anything else to eat. "I'd like to wake up first," he replied to Puddle tiredly.

Jack yawned as a brunette sat next to him before giving a tiny wave. He was exhausted but he didn't want to ruin a good chance of a fun vacation. At Puddle's suggestion, his expression perked. "Snowball fight! Heck yeah!" he said with a smirk. "I bet i'll beat all of you!"

"Oh, you think so, huh?" Darren cocked one eyebrow, a little trick he'd picked up from his mom. "I think you're... full of it!" "Oh, shush," Kyle nudged Darren down into his seat that he'd risen out of. "Let's let everyone eat and wake up first." "Thank you, she has the right idea," Leonard piped up, still searching for something besides stupid cereal and milk to eat rather angrily. Darren still didn't lose his haughty, competitive smirk. "You're on, dude," he said to Spicer. "You are SO on."

Jack gave him a raised eyebrow and smirked. "Great, I love a challenge." the red head smirked before turning back to the breakfast in front of him. He needed his energy to be able to take this guy on. No doubt there was going to be tension on the snow after breakfast.

Ingrid drowsily found her seat, with Benny trailing behind. She rubbed her eyes a few times, trying to wake herself up. Femme glared at the window. The snow was only going to make her sleepier. She might as well eat something.
"Want cereal?" she asked Benny, grabbing two bowls. Whether he liked it or not he was still getting some.
"'S fine by me." Benny replied, shrugging.
Placing the breakfast down in front of her and her friend, she quietly started eating. Benny however was interested in the talk of snowball fights the little ginger girl and those two guys were discussing.
"Snowball fight?" the stocky boy piped up, just loud enough for someone to hear him. "I haven't done a snowball fight in some time! Maybe when I'm done hikin' I'll join you guys."

"Hiking?" Leonard asked a little incredulously, though mostly it was to himself. He couldn't imagine hiking in this freezing weather in a foot of snow. But then again, Benny was young and he was an adult. He'd lost his sense of adventure a while ago. And still there was nothing but cereal. Nobody considered that he could only eat it without milk, of course. "Ugh, stupid," he muttered to himself as he poured himself a bowl and simply began to eat it dry. It was better than nothing.
Darren was still stoked at the prospect of a snowball fight. "I'm going to kick everyone's butt," he announced haughtily. "Pft, what, a pixie queen like you?" Kyle retorted playfully. "You couldn't hit water if you fell out of a boat." "No no no Kyle, I think you're talking about Jay, not me," Darren joked. There was a little twist of longing in his gut but a hungry growl pushed it away. "Go get me food, slave." "Aye aye, cap'n," Kyle stood up with a laugh and made her way to the kitchen. Darren smiled and leaned back in the chair and flipped his hair back, in a bit of an effeminate manner. "I'm so pumped, it's been forever since I've been out in the snow to do cool stuff like sled and ski and such."

(ooc: CX I didn't expect this thread to be such a hit! Whoo! Makes me feel good coming back from my long trip back to campus and finding all these replies.)
Well, that was much faster than Hiccup had anticipated! It seemed like the majority of the group was up and raring to go already. The young Viking grinned a bit and rose up a little on the couch. This was going to be great. There would be no more winter blues by the time their trip was over. ...Assuming the group didn't just get sick of each other before everything was over. "Well, good to know all of you are up and ready despite how much sleep we got." Hiccup said. It was meant to be a joke. How well they took it had yet to be determined. Ignoring that fact, Hiccup readjusted the positioning of his legs and rose up from his seat on the couch so that he could speak to the others more easily.
"There'll be time for everything we want to get done. Right now, though, it might be a good idea to at least eat a little something before we go gallivanting through the snow." Hiccup said. Not that he had a problem with just running off to play. He would have liked a muffin or something before the day started, though.
Rapunzel beamed at the suggestion of a snowball fight. She was dying to play in the snow, so clearly this would be right up her ally. "Count me in for that snowball fight! This is going to be so much fun!" Rapunzel squealed. She could hardly wait to get started. More importantly, Rapunzel was glad that the trip had happened at all.

Flynn Rider was the next to come downstairs. He was tired but also hearing the suggestion of a snowball fight got him wide awake. "Snowball fight. Alright. That sounds awesome." he smirked. "How about we make things a little interesting?"
Jack turned to the newcomer. "What do you mean by interesting?" he asked. Flynn placed his hands on Jack's shoulder. "Let's say, the loser has to do all the dishes until we go home?"
