Just a little thread for video game characters of all kinds to enjoy the peace they have been presented following the events of their respective games. Here's who's who:
Phantom - Chloe Valens and Jade Curtiss Mo - Neyla Zee - Dingodile Sapphire - Oddball Partner - Mission Vao and Zaalbar
-----
What had started as a simple walk to clear his head from the fomicry research he had gotten in to had turned into an exploration. Jade hadn't intended on wandering so far from Grand Chokmah initially, but he'd ended up in a place he could only describe as relaxing. It resembled a fountain plaza. The one thing that seemed to have actually gotten Jade's attention was the fact that it seemed rather different from anything he'd seen in Auldrant. For some reason, though, the Colonel couldn't find fault with it. Everyone needed a place to find themselves at ease. Perhaps this was the place for him.
"My, my. How times have changed." Jade mused aloud. In the past, he probably wouldn't have felt so at ease. He supposed it was just the result of peaceful times coming to Auldrant with the defeat of Van and release of Lorelei. He supposed it wouldn't be wrong to just relax in the fountain plaza. So, Jade strolled toward a bench and allowed himself to sit down to relax properly. Yes, it seemed they really were seeing the dawning of a new era if he was allowing himself to relax. How strange it was. If his companions, if he could call them that, were around they surely would have pointed it out.
It also appeared that he wasn't alone. Jade had taken notice of a young woman walking about the plaza as well. She was clad in blue and black clothing, not quite unlike his own Malkuth military uniform, but somehow appeared different. He'd never seen her about Auldrant before. Jade could have spoken to her, but somehow he thought it better to leave the black-haired young woman be for the time being. If she wanted to speak to him then she could. For the time being, though, the red-eyed Colonel preferred to sit where he was so he could see if anyone else would show up.

"Well, this is a change of pace, hey Big Z?" They cut an odd pair, the small Twi'lek teen and the towering Wookiee, but Mission knew from numerous experience that they made a good team, her and Zaalbar. For once, neither wielded any visible weapons, although Mission still had a blaster tucked in the back of her belt which, coupled with Zaalbar's considerable strength, would be more than enough to discourage anyone who might be thinking of causing them trouble.
The fountain plaza was a place Mission had discovered a few days prior. Their group had returned to Coruscant with the Republic fleet following the Star Forge's destruction, and from there, they'd mostly just started going their own ways. Mission had been exploring the city planet's upper levels, away from Zaalbar for once, when she'd stumbled across this place. It sounded stupid to say it felt as though she'd stepped into another world, but in truth, it did. Now she was returning to it with her hairy best friend.
Zaalbar growled his approval in shyriiwook. The big Wookiee had become much more appreciative of new places, Mission noticed, since they'd sorted out the trouble with his family and the slavers on his homeworld, which she found to be an improvement. The blue-skinned girl stepped towards the fountain, running a hand around the basin's ornately decorated edge. It was soothing, moreso than any place she'd visited during their travels with Revan, and Mission almost felt as though she could stay here forever.
Zaalbar grumbled something else, and Mission's gaze abruptly snapped up to see the fact that, as Big Z had said, they weren't alone here this time. "Oh, is this place yours?" she asked Jade unabashedly. She wasn't quite sure how she'd been able to miss the human's presence at first; the Twi'lek supposed she'd just been too preoccupied with her surroundings.

Jade, seemingly unfazed by the presence of two individuals who were outside the norm of Auldrant civilians, merely shrugged his shoulders a little in response. "I just happened upon this place a few moments ago, so I can't really say it's mine." he replied casually. Perhaps it was just the fact that, since everything had been said and done with defeating Van, Jade was able to relax a bit more that he didn't appear quite as concerned about the presence of two unknown individuals. Or maybe it was just that Jade was softening up a bit and didn't particularly feel the need to poke fun at the newcomers. Either way, he wasn't really concerned.
"It appears we aren't the only ones here, either. That young woman over there was here when I arrived, or probably a little before myself." he added. His crimson gaze shifted to the black-haired girl he had seen, only to notice that she seemed to be looking their way as well. Not that he minded. Jade didn't really seem fazed by anything at that point.
----
The fact of the matter was that Chloe didn't quite know where she was. She'd gone from Werites Beacon and back to the mainland, and somehow it felt like she was back where she had started when she'd seen the fountain plaza. But this place felt different from the meeting place she and her friends were accustomed to. On top of that, there were three individuals she didn't recognize nearby. It was fairly safe to guess that she wasn't in familiar territory, but Chloe wasn't about to worry just yet. She could relax, after all. It didn't seem like any of them there posed much of a threat, anyway.
Then the man with red eyes looked her way. Okay, now I really have no choice but to go over there. Chloe thought. It probably was for the best. She wasn't going to gain anything by just wandering around by herself, anyway. So she approached Mission, Zaalbar, and Jade as casually as she could and, when she finally came to a stop, offered a sort of warm smile in greeting.
"Hello. I'm sorry for not saying anything before, but I thought I should have a little look around here. I'm Chloe." she said. Maybe a little awkward in terms of greeting, but she would brush it off for the moment. It was a new day. She could make the best of what the time of peace had to offer.

From a rooftop above the plaza, stunning green eyes peered down at the newcomers down below. It was safe to say that Neyla had gotten herself lost... how, she had no idea. But regardless, the purple tigress was no longer within range of Sly Cooper and his pathetic little gang, nor in the radius of the nearest Clockwerk part... the latter point made her ever-so frustrated; if she couldn't find her way back to the location, she wouldn't be able to take it from the hands of that stupid raccoon thief...
However, the fact that there were no Klaww Gang members nor officers from Interpol around made her relax. She could let her guard down a bit for the time being. She would catch up with Cooper eventually... and when she did... oh, when she did, her power would be unstoppable.
Now she wondered though, if these people knew how to get back to the last site of operation she was at...? It was a place to start. They weren't anyone-- or anything-- she'd encountered before, that was certain. This didn't mean much to Neyla though. Given enough time and interaction with these strangers, Neyla was sure that she'd figure out a way to make them let a few things "slip".
With a bound, Neyla leapt off the building, her red mantilla fluttering in the air behind her, and landed with an acrobatic grace onto the ground below, straight behind the group of stranger that had accumulated in the center of the plaza.
"Well, it seems I'm not the only one around here who's lost," she began in a friendly tone. "I don't suppose any of you would know your way around this place, would you?" She held out her Interpol badge and explained cooly, "I'm on a bit of business and I really should be getting back to it before this day is done."
Not exactly true, but regardless, Neyla figured instilling a sense of urgency into these strangers would make them reveal whatever they knew about this odd place a bit faster than just small talk would... this would be easier if she knew whether or not they knew of the Klaww Gang and their operations, she silently fumed. But she had to take it a bit slow. Make them trust her first. Then she would get them to talk.
((In case anyone was wondering, this is after the events of Sly 2 and Neyla has just been re-incarnated to her old self. She doesn't recall any of what happened in the last episode of the game and thinks she's still trying to double cross the Cooper Gang while they search for the Clockwerk parts.))

"My name's Mission, and is Zaalbar," the girl replied to Chloe's own introduction. Big Z hrrrnghed an acknowledgement, but, not to any surprise of Mission's, didn't say anything else. Zaalbar had never been one for words, and she doubted either human would understand Shyriiwook - or Wookiee-speak, as most people called it - anyway.
She glanced up as Neyla approached. Was that another Cathar? She didn't look much like Juhani, whom she'd thought had been close to one of the last of her kind, but the distinctive feline features were all there, without a doubt. There almost seemed, not to put too fine a point on it, something shifty about this one that she couldn't place, although not enough to keep her from acting friendly. But the girl certainly had her guard up. "I found this place a couple of days ago," Mission added, by way of an answer. "I don't know much about it, but it doesn't seem like anything else I've seen on Coruscant, you know?"
<<You smell that air? I don't know how it can be, but it's nothing like Coruscant's. There's no scent of the city here.>> Zaalbar's growls, while probably unintelligable to the rest of the group, were easy to understand for Mission, who had never had much trouble picking up alien languages even when she couldn't speak them, and she looked at the Wookiee quizically.
"What are you saying, Big Z? How can we not be on Coruscant anymore? We just walked here, remember?" Zaalbar gave a silent shrug, leaving Mission to puzzle that one out for herself. Not even Jedi had the ability to teleport... it just didn't make sense.
