It's that time of year again! The decorations have been hung with care, there are stockings hung above the fire, cookies and other assorted snacks to nibble on, punch to drink, and a jolly good time to be had. It's Christmas! Let's celebrate it together!
Who's who: Phantom - Vanellope, Shilo, and Rolly Paws - Specs, Felicia, Princess Peppermint, and Remy Patchy - Jack Frost, Sergeant Calhoun, and Candlehead Mo - Fix-it Felix, Danielle, Penelope, Kyle, and Braith ZeeStitch - Cadence, Shining Armor, and possibly Boo Mizan - Knight Shade and OCs Partner/Angel - Angel, Rebecca, Lauren, and possibly Nicole Sapphire - Pepper, Britta Perry, and Leaf Coneybear
(if you wish to make any changes to who you're playing, just let me know in your intro post.)
----
"Wow..."
Shilo had to admit that she was breathless at the sight of the grand room she had been told was housing the party. Lights had been strung above the windows and were shining various shades of color, there was a big tree decked out with beautiful decorations in the corner of the room with colorfully wrapped presents beneath it, various Christmas decorations scattered about the room, and a big buffet table decked out in reds, greens, silvers, and golds with delicious looking snacks and a big bowl of punch. Everything in the eyes of the girl who had been unable to experience such things was beautiful. It was her first real Christmas party, and Shilo was fully intent on enjoying it.
She carefully moved a few stray strands of hair out of her face and began to make her way out into the room. She couldn't help but look at every little thing that was present. Shilo had never experienced the holiday before, and her father hadn't told her much about it, so she was quite excited with everything considered. What caught her attention in particular was the tree. It was mesmerizing, really. She couldn't take her eyes off of it. So absorbed in the sight of the tree was Shilo that she didn't notice two other individuals entering the room after her.
The first was a pudgy little dalmatian puppy. Rolly had experienced Christmas before, so he wasn't quite as enthralled by everything as Shilo was. He was instead interested in the snacks that had been provided. He sniffed the air and let a contented sort of sigh escape him as his tail started to wag. The snacks smelled delicious! That was enough of a reason for Rolly to make his way toward the buffet table as quickly as his pudgy legs could take him.
"Oh papa... I don't even know where to start! It all smells so good!" Rolly exclaimed as he reached the table. He propped his front paws up against the table and started to look everything over. Where did he even begin?
Finally, the second person to arrive after Shilo made her way inside the room. The little black-haired girl wasn't interested in the food. She appeared interested in the tree Shilo had her eyes on. It wasn't for the same reason, though. No, Vanellope's eyes were focused entirely on the presents sitting beneath it. According to the invitation she had gotten, there was one gift for each person who attended the party. Vanellope wanted to find out which one was hers and open it as soon as humanly possible.
"Holy mother of monkey milk, that's a lot of presents! I gotta see which one of them is mine!" Vanellope squealed in excitement. The racers of Sugar Rush did celebrate Christmas, but this was the first time Vanellope would be able to join the celebration as one of them. Up until that point she'd had to make due with makeshift parties she'd thrown together by herself. Not this year, though. This year Vanellope would be getting to enjoy the holiday with everyone else.
Without waiting to see if anyone would try to talk to her, she started to make a beeline right for the presents. Excited little racer was excited.

"Someone's an eager beaver." A white haired lad laughed as he followed a bit more slowly but by air rather than by foot. He loved Chrstimas, it was the one month where he could make it snow and not get into trouble before. "You act like you've never had Christmas before." he said with a laugh. "But what do i know?" he shrugged.
--- Strong, yet determined look remained in the Sergant's eyes as she walked in. Never really cared for the celebration of Christmas she was more worried about everyone being unprotected. What if there was an assassin among these civillians. She wouldn't take any chances. What if there was a bomb in one of the presents. She walked over to one and tapped it with her gun, as if waiting for it to blow. "Alright, your clear." she muttered.

"Gol-ly; isn't this just the prettiest thing you've ever seen?" A cheery tune of a voice drifted out from the growing hubub of the crowd gathered for the party, the voice belonging to a certain short blue-clad man by the name of Fix-it Felix. The eager handyman was simply ecstatic - he was always up for a celebration (one would have thought the novelty would have worn off being rewarded so many times every day for repairing Ralph's damage in his game), and this was surely the party to top them all. All the lights, the massive tree and the multitude of brightly-colored decorations all glittering and shining and shedding a warm glow in the room... ohhh, Felix could barely contain his joy! A huge, childlike smile was spread across his round face, one that was insanely infectious and seemed to only brighten the mood more. "Wouldn't you agree, my lady?" he crooned as he slid up next to his lovely dynamite gal, Calhoun, a little glimmer of affection shining in his bright eyes. Seeing her holding the gun, he clicked his tongue and put a hand on it, "Now don't you be getting too trigger-happy around these nice folks, darling. I promise it's safe. And besides," he added with a sly grin. "If anything goes wrong..." He reached into his pocket and drew out his signature golden hammer, almost audibly gleaming. "I can fix it."
Meanwhile, under the buffet table, a little wet black nosed poked out from under the tablecloth and a little fluffy bobbed tail waving from the other end. A soft giggling sound escaped the muzzle and just as quickly it disappeared, the tablecloth visibly shuddering as the owner shuffled under the table. Soon, Danielle's full head popped up from under the tablecloth, and on her face was a determined grin (tongue hanging to the side of her mouth, of course) as she eyed the multitudes of foods spread out upon the table... and they were aaaaaalllllll hers for the taking. Little did she know, though, that another dog was also eyeing those snacks, and in her travels under the table, her nose bumped against the paw of said pudgy dog, an audible "OOF!" escaping from her mouth. "Owwwww... watch where you're goin', buddy, geez..."
[Gonna bring Kyle & Braith in later, and I decided not to play Penelope after all ^^"]

Wide azure orbs gazed around, taking in the scene that was so different from anything she'd known before. Well, everything being different wasn't so unusual... so much had changed over the last year that hardly anything would surprise her now, but this managed it, somehow. It was just... so pretty. The lit tree, the decorations hanging everywhere... the little Scottish lass had never seen anything quite like it. Christmas had never been celebrated like this back in De Vil Ville... well, she'd been too young to really remember much at the time, actually, but she was sure it had never been this festive. For a moment, Rebecca just stood in the doorway, drinking it all in.
That was, until someone behind nudged her forward. Rebecca glanced over her shoulder to see Angel - whom she could identify, but didn't know well - half-herding her further into the room so that the next person through the doorway wouldn't trip over them. The pomeranian-mix looked rather uncomfortable with a large festive bow tied around her neck, and although Rebecca thought it actually looked quite pretty on her, she didn't draw attention to it. "Aye've never seen anything quite like this," she observed instead, still looking at the decorations in wonderment. Angel glanced at the dal.
"I've seen it before, I've just never been part of it until now," she confided. A year ago, a lost, lonely puppy reeling from being cast out of her second home, Angel had seen Christmas celebrations in plenty of houses, knowing that she'd never be part of then as she'd padded down the freezing streets hoping that someone would take pity on her. Now that she had a home where she could be part of the festivities, felt almost too good to be true.
Since Rebecca seemed to be content just to observe for the time being, Angel left her were she was and trotted towards the buffet table. Mostly, because she'd caught sight of the familiar face (or, more to the point, the fluffy ears) of one of her half-sisters, although as she drew near, the smells she was catching from that table prompted a low grumbling sound from her stomach. Grabbing something to eat while she was over there, Angel reflected, sounded like an equally good idea as saying hi to Danielle.
(ooc: If I bring my OCs in (and I still haven't quite decided yet if I will), they'll come in later too)

Pepper bounded in, taking a good look around the room. Christmas was her favorite time of year. Everyone was so happy and merry. The spotted pup quickly glanced around the room, looking for her siblings. She soon spotted Rebecca and went over to say hi. "Hey Rebecca!" she exclaimed to the other puppy. "Isn't this the prettiest room in the entire world? I just love Christmas, don't you? Everyone so happy and cheerful! And the snow - lots and lots of snow!"
A blonde walked in, taking a skeptical look around. Britta Perry was never one to really get into the "Christmas spirit." And besides, every Christmas season seemed to get weirder and weirder. Like the time with that Christmas Party, or the stop motion thing (That was really odd) or the time with the Glee Club pageant which she ruined by going center stage per request from Abed. The woman walked over to the buffet table to see if there was anything she could eat. When she got over there, she spotted the two most adorable puppies. "Aw!" she cooed "Aren't you two the cutest things? Yes you are! Yes you are!"
(OOC: I've decided not to play Leaf.)

Briefly deterred from determining which present under the tree was meant for her, Vanellope turned her attention to Jack and mulled over his comment for a little bit. She guessed it was true. She was acting as though she had never celebrated the holiday before because, in truth, she hadn't properly done so before. "Well, yeah. When ya celebrate it all by yourself for so long it's really different being able to see a party like this and be a part of it." Vanellope admitted. She imagined the other Sugar Rushers had been invited to parties similar to this by King Candy before. They had probably been particularly sugary and decked out with pretty candy decorations to boo.
"So I'm totally digging actually being a part of the celebration for once. It's awesome!" Vanellope told him. She didn't care if he thought her explanation unbelievable, assuming that he did. Vanellope was just happy to be there.
"Wah!" Rolly felt something cold and wet bump against his paw and quickly came down from his position against the table to determine what it was. What he didn't expect was seeing a pretty, albeit scruffy, girl be the one to have bumped into him. Poor Rolly didn't know how to quite interact with girls outside of his massive family, so having to do so now was rather unusual. Especially with the circumstances given.
"S-Sorry... I didn't see you there." Rolly managed to say. Hopefully she'd take what he'd said and forget about what had happened. Hopefully. Rolly wasn't entirely sure what to expect right then.
Shilo, meanwhile, was taking in everything that was beginning to go on around her. People interacting with one another as though it were the most natural thing ever. For them, it probably was. For her, though, interaction was something that was still a little bit awkward in spite of being freed and able to do as she pleased at last. Everyone seemed preoccupied, though, so Shilo ruled out speaking to them immediately. Instead she decided to ease her way over to the buffet table in the hopes that someone might either talk to her or that she would just find something to do. The poor seventeen-year-old was still a bit clueless on what she was meant to be doing at the party.

"Your definition of safe and mine are completely different pint-size." Calhoun replied rolling her eyes but hostered her gun back in her belt. "You never know if one of those snowflakes or tinsel could be a bomb or assassin in diguise. And i'll be dead if i have someone taken down under my watch. You hear me?"
--- Jack frowned, that didn't sound like a happy story, then again Jack could relate. How many times had he spent days alone? A lot. He smirked a bit before landing next to her. "Then if you want my advice, i'd go for the big packages first. They contain the best stuff." he was willing to help Vanellope celebrate her first real christmas. "Care to have a little helper?"
Over on the side of the festivities, Candlehead was trying to decide which sweets she should eat. There were so many, she couldn't decided. Cupcakes, candy-canes and other sweets! She licked her lips before rubbing her fingers together and grabbed a plate.

Remy had been preparing food all morning; working his paws and tail off trying to make sure the buffet was everything the guests had been expecting. Now that the party had actually started, he figured he wouldn't be much help with serving, and had been allowed to go and mingle with the guests. The gray-furred rat sported a small, spiffy black vest with a red bowtie wrapped around his neck. He scampered around curiously, his oval pink nose sniffing around in curiosity and his snakelike tail swishing back and forth. He made a small perch in the Christmas tree as not to get crushed by someone wandering around.
Meanwhile, a young woman who appeared to be in her early 20's made her way inside. She wore thick spectacles and had round, almost afro-like orange hair. She straightened out the obnoxious bright red sweater with little reindeer prancing across them, another ugly Christmas sweater her boyfriend had told her to war. The girl, known as Specs, was a bit shy in party-type situations but she hoped that she would make a friend that night. She adjusted her thick glasses as she walked around, observing the grand tree and all the guests.
Two others arrived as well, one a pony and one a puppy. The pony's body was all red, with a mane just a shade darker and with a white streak in it. The puppy, a Dalmatian, was riding on her back, a happy smile on her maw. She bore a blue collar, one black ear and one spotted ear, a horseshoe on her back, cheek, and right hip, and several spots strewn around her body. The pony was known as Princess Peppermint, and the puppy was Felice.
"I'm so excited!" Peppermint sang out, looking back at her doggy companion. "Winter is the best time of the year!" Felice nodded in agreement.

Another Dalmatian pup trotted confidently into the room after the others, head held high and a casual smile on his face. Lucky opened his eyes, smiling at the pretty Christmas set-up and wagging his tail. "Wow. Nice set-up." Right away, he spotted Rolly going after the Christmas snacks and chuckled a little. "Hey!! Rolly, save some for me!! Don't eat them all!!" He started to run toward the table, wanting to get some of those Christmas doggie biscuits before Rolly could clean them out, but then something caught his attention that made him screech to a hault. He smiled as he noticed Rebecca nearby. Hey...I didn't know she'd be here. Casually, he trotted up beside her, offering a cursory glance around the room when he noticed her staring.
"It's pretty isn't it?"
"Gosh, it really is." A white stallion agreed, trotting into the room behind the two Dalmatians. Knight Shade stared out with a smile at the pretty, Christmas-filled room. True, it wasn't nearly as large or as elaborate a spread as if it were being hosted in his own mansion -- he'd become quite rich since he took off as a solo artist, without Arabus's help -- but it was beautiful nonetheless.
He slowly trotted through the room, taking in the sight of the Christmas tree, the decorations hanging from the corners of the room, and the cheery roaring fire in the fireplace. He eventually stopped near the refreshments table, taking a bite of a Christmas cookie and chewing slowly. Not bad at all, not bad. Almost as if his personal chef had cooked these up himself. He'd have to have a word with the person responsible.
(bring more in shortly. couldn't resist playing Lucky x3)

"Oh... Hello, Lucky. Hi Pepper." Truth be told, the presence of the horseshoe-maked dal still made Rebecca feel uncomfortable, but for the sake of maintaining the Christmas spirit, she decided not to draw attention to the fact. "Yes, it is very pretty," she agreed. "I havnae seen anything like it b'fore. All th' decorations..." She must sound pretty stupid to the other two dalmatians, she assumed. They'd evidently both seen Christmas like this before, so it would be nothing new to them. Not like it was to her.
"Ye must think Aye'm stupid tae be goin' on about all this," she scoffed, with a shake of her head. "But it's still all so new tae me..."
-- Since Danielle seemed to be... well, just a little preoccupied with Patch's pudgier brother, Angel decided to let her half-sister alone for the current moment. There would be plenty of time to catch up with the cocker at a later point, and so - after satisfying her hunger by helping herself to some of the snacks - the pomeranian-mix padded over to the group who seemed to have placed themselves near the tree. She gave the presents a cursory sniff as she passed, idly wondering (though not expecting it to be the case) if there were any for her. It would be a first if there were, that was for sure, but Angel found she didn't mind. She was actually a part of what was going on, not just an uninvited observer, and that was enough for her.
