Candlehead was relieved to see someone else was coming along. Adorabeezle. That was a little relief. At least someone else had come along to break up the tension between the four racers. The idea of it being a mini-game made Candlehead scoff.
"Nah, it's no mini-game. Candle and I were just having a little disagreement about the race. And it kind of got out of hand." Priscilla replied quickly. "Didn't mean to get the other two involved at all, things happen."

"Didn't think so," Adorabeezle was quick to respond to the game's newcomer, her blue-orbed gaze not leaving Taffyta and Vanellope. Putting them in their place, Taffyta had said? Adorabeezle didn't much like the sound of that. True, she may not have been the hugest fan of their president, but that didn't mean she wanted to see the little former-glitch get beaten up. Well, not anymore, anyway - the time while her memory had been locked had been a different story, she was just a little ashamed to admit. She certainly hadn't been as mean as some of the other racers during that time, but she had done nothing to stand up for Vanellope either.
Maybe she should change that? At any rate, it looked as though one way or another, she would be forced to choose with whom her loyalties lay.
It really wasn't a hard choice, all things considered, but Adorabeezle still opted to play for time, putting off making the actual decision of whether to side with Taffyta or Vanellope for a few more moments. "Wait, I thought Candlehead was one of Taffyta's friends? Why would she be bullying her?" So maybe it had started off as a disagreement between Candle and the new girl, but the side Taffyta had chosen didn't make much sense to Adorabeezle. Why side with a newcomer over an old friend? She had to admit that the blonde was right about one thing, though; Vanellope really didn't look very well.

"That's what I wanna know." Vanellope admitted. Why Taffyta would have turned against Candlehead out of nowhere was beyond her. She'd seemed to go back to being nice when the reset occurred, so why there would be a change in the blonde was unknown. Unless Priscilla's presence had had some kind of an effect...
No, that's ridiculous. Why would that be the case?
In any case, Vanellope knew what she had seen. She forced herself back to her feet and shook her head a little before deciding to continue speaking. "I know what I saw, though. They were telling her she was worthless and that nobody would care if she left." Vanellope said.
"Vanellope, you must have been imagining it. We would never do that to little Candlehead. Even if she is a sub par racer." Taffyta said. The last part was spoken softly, but loud enough to still be heard. That was Taffyta's goal. She'd intended for them to hear that part, even if she was making it seem like she didn't intend for that to happen.

"And why would i do that?" Priscilla asked mocking a hurtful look. "I'm her sister, i certainly wouldn't want to hurt her dreams of being a racer. Really my dear, i think you are hearing things. After all, you are sick are you not?"

"Hm." Taffyta and the new girl's responses seemed reasonable enough. That didn't mean she entirely believed them. After all, the blonde had always struck Adorabeezle as a bit stuck-up; if not for the fact that Candlehead was, so far as she knew, in Taffyta's small circle of friends, the ice-themed racer wouldn't have been at all surprised to hear of her acting as such. And besides, Candlehead wouldn't be looking so upset if nothing was wrong. No, her money was definately on Vanellope in as far as trustworthiness was concerned here, regardless of the president's mysterious illness.
"Sub-par, you say?" Dark blue eyebrow raised slightly in Taffyta's direction. Adorabeezle was well aware that she, too, probably fell under the more experienced racer's definition of 'sub-par' - she had won a few races, it was true, but didn't often do exceptionally well - so she figured those who were judged by Taffyta as such ought to stick together. Right now, that seemed to entail standing up for Candlehead. "And you, of course, are the one who has the right to decide who's sub-par or not?" Her tone was innocent enough, but there was no missing that it contained at least a little challenge.

Candle didn't say anything to the sight in front of her. Just watched, or rather listened as she tried to find her missing hair holders, it didn't help that she was still covered in icing from her crash. Shaking her head, the girl placed her hands on her hair and smoothed it out.

Taffyta didn't appear terribly fazed by Adorabeezle questioning whether she had the right to deem Candlehead sub par or not. It must have been quite the sight, really, to see someone who once was a friend of Candlehead going to the length of picking on her with Priscilla. "I'm just saying what everyone's been wanting to say, am I not? Candlehead doesn't have the best stats, and really... How often does she actually win a race?" Taffyta asked. She was hoping that by that point they had succeeded in wrecking the wall of Candlehead's self esteem. Not like it was a difficult task, seeing as Candlehead didn't have much to begin with, but she still could hope it was almost wrapped up.
"Why are you two doing this? She's your sister, Priscilla, and your friend, Taffyta!" Vanellope finally said. She couldn't just keep quiet about that much. She had to know why they were picking on her so much.
Taffyta just scoffed a little. "Please. I'm not her friend anymore, and I'd be surprised if anyone aside from you was. Glitch." Taffyta sneered. Her remark seemed to have done its job, as Vanellope flinched visibly upon hearing the old taunt. Taffyta didn't care if Vanellope was their President... Princess... Whatever. She could still pick on her as much as she liked.

"Haven't you heard of a thing called sibling rivalry?" Priscilla asked, with a smirk. "I'm just doing what comes naturally, being the better and older sister that she has, and she knows it. In a way, i am giving hers something to strive for. Of course it is not going to work,"

Well, so much for Taffyta's prior assertion that their princess-president had been imagining things. Evidently, the two girls had decided that she, Adorabeezle, wasn't even worth the effort to lie to, and the blue-haired racer wasn't quite sure what to make of that development. She frowned, sparing a glance at Candlehead. She didn't know the birthday-cake-themed girl well, but - what was her name, Priscilla? - and Taffyta's words had to be taking their toll on her. "She's not the only one who doesn't win often," Adorabeezle pointed out, idly picking strands of sticky caramel off her car's nose as she spoke. What she hoped to gain by mentioning that fact, the ice-themed girl wasn't sure, though it was true enough. In fact, the only consistant winners were Taffyta herself and Vanellope. Between the two of them, few other racers ever really got the chance to claim first place, unless an exceptionally good player took control of one of them while the game was running. So why pick on Candlehead specifically?

"Oh don't be silly we know that." Priscilla replied, not taking her eyes off her fingernails. "But those have at least come close to winning, and not end up in last place all the time." She hoped that Candle had heard that. When she saw her sister tense up, she smirked. Target had been hit that was for sure. "Besides, what does it matter? At least they know how to drive and take it."
Candle glanced upwards and tugged her small hat over her head trying to cover her face as she blinked back tears. The words did hurt and what hurt more was that they were true. All of them. She turned and started walking away.
"Where you going baby sis?" Priscilla asked, her voice filled with the fake worry.
"Home." came the sad and bittersweet reply

Taffyta said nothing. Instead, she just relished in the fact that she and Priscilla had seemingly won against Candlehead. They'd crushed her spirits, or at least seemed to, and that was good enough for the platinum blonde-haired girl. She laughed a little at Candlehead's remark about wanting to go home, but beyond that she made not indication that she'd heard her.
As for Vanellope...
"Wait, Candlehead! You can't just leave!" Vanellope blurted out. This was followed by a brief bout of coughing that took a few moments for the young President to recover from. When she had, she tried to follow after Candlehead. What did she mean by saying she was going home? Vanellope wanted her to stick around. If anything, Vanellope wanted to go with Candlehead and try to convince her that it was all right. She didn't need to listen to Taffyta and Priscilla.

"Oh come on baby sis, stay a little while." Priscilla said with a big smirk. "We didn't really mean it. It was a little joke. Come on." the fellow green haired racer placed a hand on Candle's shoulder causing the girl to turn around violently.
"Don't touch me!" candle screamed in anger, angry tears burning in her eyes. All the words that they were true. She shouldn't take them to heart she knew that but they were still hurtful. "Don't. Touch. Me!"

Adorabeezle couldn't help but think that Candlehead had maybe brought this upon herself.
She didn't intend it in a mean way, of course, but... well, Candle had always hung around Taffyta. The ice-themed racer didn't know about all of the others, but she'd always tried to keep her distance from the blonde when possible - and by extension that had usually involved avoiding Candlehead and Rancis, too. If the green-haired girl didn't have many (or any) other friends, it was only because more racers had followed Adorabeezle's lead. Maybe if Candle had made an effort to be her own person, instead of sticking with Taffyta all the time, she would have had more friends taking her side than just a former glitch.
Still, thinking this didn't mean Adorabeezle was entirely unsympathetic to her fellow racer's plight. She just didn't know what to do about it. Usually - and it was a bad habit, she knew - she would just go along with the crowd (take, for example, the time they'd all trashed Vanellope's pedal-kart), but here she didn't think that was really an option. She took a deep breath, not really used to making herself the centre of attention.
"Maybe we should all just cool off," she suggested, stepping away from her own kart and inserting herself tactfully in between the pair of green-haired sisters. "No pun intended," she added quickly, thinking of her own icepop-based theme.
