Just an impromptu thread mostly for Patchy and I to play out interactions between our Discord children. Setting is Ponyville.
Phantom - Squallfeather
Sometimes, Squallfeather wished that he had more friends. Yet another lonely day in Ponyville had come and the little creature was left to his own devices. Whisperwind was out of the question for hanging out with due to having a cold, Inky Scales was visiting her cousins in the Crystal Empire, and... Well, it went without saying that Noble Heart was busy. He was still in the Crystal Empire learning the necessary skills to become a better knight. As for his most recent friend Miss Scootaloo, the ground-bound pegasus was otherwise occupied with getting her scooter fixed. She just didn't have the time to teach Squallfeather any new tricks that day. Besides... After she'd realized he was Rainbow Dash's bastard child, Squallfeather was doubtful that Scootaloo would want to continue hanging out with him. She'd seemed to busy as of late...
Back to the present, Squallfeather had settled on roaming about Ponyville in search of something to do. He'd thought about stopping by Sugar Cube Corner, but then he remembered that Prism Bolt and his buddies were probably hanging around there. It was best to avoid any contact with his half-brother, and so he decided to keep walking forward. By that point, though, Squallfeather was just feeling downright low. Was this really his destiny? To have a very small paw-ful of friends and just continue being regarded as a freak? If only his father wasn't Discord. If only his real mother loved him as much as his adoptive mother did... If only, if only. There was only so much wishing Squallfeather could do. It wouldn't change anything. It wouldn't-
"OOF!"
Squallfeather's mind had been wandering so much that he hadn't realized he was about to walk right into someone. The little creature was knocked back by the impact and he hit the ground. When he recovered, Squallfeather shook his head and gasped. He'd only just realized what had happened, and it made his tiny, undeveloped wings stretch out.
"Ohmigosh, I'm so sorry! I-I didn't see you there!" Squallfeather squeaked. His pony ear and tiger ear fell back and he quickly took several steps back. Squallfeather wasn't sure of who this individual was, but he didn't want to make them mad.
