AU thread for Angel and I based on the idea of what would happen if Bismuth hadn't been bubbled, and thus allowing the Crystal Gems to divide during the rebellion. Based on the principle of what would happen if Garnet unfused due to indecision, and if Ruby followed Bismuth while Sapphire followed Rose.
Phantom - Ruby Angel - Sapphire
---
A set of little feet thumped through the wooded area, breaking the otherwise silent night in the process. A lot had happened since Garnet had split apart and the rebellion divided. Ruby still remembered the night that Bismuth had called the Crystal Gems together and posed them with a question. She claimed to have the weapon that would gain them victory, while Rose was focused on ending the rebellion without shattering Gems needlessly. The muscular blacksmith Gem had asked those who wanted a guaranteed victory to come with her, and she would bring about the end to the uppercrusts and elites that had always tormented them. Some had joined quickly, but Garnet? She had been undecided. Pearl had sided with Rose almost instantly. No one would have thought her to do anything else, honestly, so it wasn't surprising. When the decision became too difficult, though, things that no one expected had happened. Garnet unfused. She had become more stable since she had first formed, obviously, but no one had anticipated that she would fall apart over something like this. It had left Ruby and Sapphire to make the decision themselves.
Ruby had reasoned that Bismuth was right. If they wanted an assured victory and the sure shot to protect their friends, then they had to act decisively. Sapphire, however, had been on the opposite end of the spectrum. She had understood Ruby and Bismuth's passion. She could even understand why Ruby wanted to join the other side. But her? She wanted to stay with Rose. Ruby had been devastated, needless to say, and so had everyone else. No one would have guessed that they would permanently split up over something like this. So, Bismuth took her followers and abandoned Rose's base. The divide had happened, and it was almost certain that it couldn't be fixed immediately.
What no one knew was that the separation between Ruby and Sapphire might not have been as absolute as they suspected.
This was why Ruby was running through the forest so late at night. She'd left the group Bismuth had formed, claiming that she was out for a bit of training on her own, and set out to find a special place. It was a place she'd happened to find Sapphire in once before, when both of them were alone, and she had promised to come back so they could meet again. The truth of the matter was that she desperately missed her precious Sapphire. How could she have been so foolish and impulsive to just side with Bismuth? They should have stuck together! They always stuck together through thick and thin, and now when they needed one another most they were far apart. Well... At least meeting would have been easily enough. They had only met by chance once, but this time she was sure Sapphire would make sure it was on purpose. She'd come up with some excuse to get away from Rose and the others, and they would be able to see one another again. That was all Ruby wanted.
Her pace quickened as she rushed through the undergrowth and broke through some bushes. Not much further now, she told herself. They would be able to see one another again soon enough. Ruby was sure of it. The spot they had inadvertently picked did have some sentimental meaning to them. It was where they had first decided they wanted to stay Garnet. The area was secluded enough by that point to ensure that no one could come in without one of them noticing. She was sure this would work out.
At last, the little warrior entered the general area and took a look around. So far, it looked like she was the only one present. But Sapphire could have been there. She had come up with a sort of phrase to use so Sapphire might recognize her... And know that she hadn't been followed. Of course, Sapphire had her future sight. She would probably be able to predict Ruby's arrival anyway. But it helped... Just in case.
"When the flames hit the ice, it glows like the stars above," Ruby said. She waited a moment, then took a step forward. Maybe she'd come early? Or what if Sapphire wasn't able to get away? She held her breath, but tried not to worry. It was still night, she told herself. Sapphire would come. She had to.

"Ruby."
To anyone who didn't know her, the voice that cut into the night's stillness might have sounded cool, perhaps even unemotional. The speaker was, after all, percived as a stoic gem; it took no stretch of the imagination at all to hear as much in her tone. That was how Sapphires were created to be, after all. They saw so much in the future that could have distressed - or even mentally damaged - a less collected gem, they had to be coded, in the very core of their being, not to appear deeply affected by such things. Obvious emotion from a Sapphire was one of the rarest things imaginable.
Except, this Sapphire was an exception.
If someone did know her, and especially if they knew her as well as Ruby did, it would be plain that there was nothing stoic about the seer at all, not in this moment. Maybe it hadn't been a long time, per se, since the two of them had last been together; with gemkind's incredible longevity, even a few weeks was barely anything at all to speak of. But even so, distance could make each moment feel like an absolute lifetime, and the moments that they could steal together was incredibly precious. It was no wonder, therefore, that at the sound of her beloved's voice, Sapphire's own was overflowing with joy at seeing her again.
Sapphire had waited for half a moment longer, looking to the future of this little encounter. Not to spoil the intimacy of it; but to make sure that nothing untoward would happen. While Ruby had shown her once before that the track of fate could be jumped, and Sapphire would never see it coming, it hurt not to be prepared in case something was going to crop up. All she could see, however, was her and Ruby parting ways reluctantly once this rendezvous was over, with no-one having found them. That was good enough for Sapphire.
That was when she had spoken, drawing Ruby's attention to her as she pushed aside the curtain of branches that had been screening them from each other's sight. And there she was, her beautiful beloved; Sapphire knew that there were still times when Ruby might not see herself as anything special but, in the blue gem's eye, no-one else could possibly be as perfect as the fiery gem. Her crimson skin; her thick, dark hair. Her passionate expression; her strong arms. And all the many, many more subtlties of her appearance that Sapphire simply adored.
"Ruby!"
And this time, there was no mistaking the emotion in her tone as the seer gem sprinted forwards, all-but threw herself into her beloved's arms in a passionate embrace.
She'd missed this, OH, she'd missed it. The temptation was just to get caught up in the moment; to forget all about their differences, the schism splitting the Crystal Gems, splitting them from one another; to sieze Ruby and form Garnet with her, right here and now, and feel whole once again. And maybe, for a few moments, they could afford to, too; but at the same time, they needed to stay seperate, to talk things through. Even giddy with love for Ruby as she was, Sapphire's cool head still tended to prevail--
But that didn't mean she couldn't wish, even so.
One hand was on Ruby's head, moving gently through the tight curls as she held the small warrior-gem close. Sapphire didn't think she'd ever appreciated Ruby's strong embrace as much as she did now, when they'd been so far apart, and she had no intention of breaking away from it immediately.

Sapphire's voice was like music to Ruby's ears. She didn't have long to enjoy it, though, because the next thing she knew her beloved blue Gem was practically throwing herself into her arms. Ruby caught her, of course, and managed to keep herself standing even if she did stumble a little bit. The little warrior couldn't contain her laughter. She had missed Sapphire so much, it was undeniable that being with her again would give her great cause for celebration. They couldn't stay together, of course, because they were separated by the schism in the Crystal Gems, but that was okay. For this fleeting moment, they were able to be together again. Maybe, if time allowed it, they could even form Garnet again. Just for a little bit. She had sorely missed being Garnet, and not for the first time she wished they were still together. But her passion had guided her, and the hot flames of that passion had insisted that she go along with Bismuth. Even if that meant ending Garnet's existence and separating them, a small part of her had insisted that it had been worth it. Was it, though?
"Sapphire!" Ruby laughed. Her eyes closed and she hugged Sapphire closer to her, one hand moving to go through Sapphire's silky hair while the other went to her beloved's back. She never wanted to let go of Sapphire. Moments like this were so fleeting, especially in these trying times, but Ruby didn't care. The moments were meant to last, even though she knew in her heart that she would be prolonging them every second she could. She didn't want to be separated again, but there was only so long they could be together before she had to return to Bismuth and Sapphire had to return to Rose.
"I missed you. I missed you so much," Ruby said. They hadn't even been apart that long, not really, but it felt like an eternity. She wanted nothing more than to plant kisses all over Sapphire right then and there. But she also knew there was a chance they would end up just talking. That was Sapphire's style. It certainly wouldn't have surprised Ruby if it ended up happening. But that also didn't stop her from asking a question.
"Were you able to get away all right? No one asked?"
So far, the answer had always been yes. Sapphire was a clever Gem, Ruby knew, and she probably didn't have to worry. Besides, they probably wouldn't be together right then if Sapphire hadn't been able to escape without trouble. Still, Ruby worried. She knew she probably shouldn't have, but she couldn't help it. Sapphire was so precious to her. She never wanted anything bad to happen to her, but... It was a rebellion. A war. Bad things were going to happen no matter what... Especially now that they were on opposing sides.

And she was laughing too, the tones of her laughter a perfect melody meant for Ruby's ears alone. All cares were, in that moment, forgotten entirely; whatever had separated them felt so unimportant now that she was back in her beloved Ruby's arms. It was a fleeting moment, and it was an eternity of pleasure, as the two of them held each other close. Not even Sapphire's typical rationality could temper the burning flame of her love for Ruby, and never had it felt like it burned brighter than in this blessed moment of reunion after far too long apart.
"I know, I know. I missed you, too."
She pulled back half a moment, just enough to take Ruby's face in her hands, and to plant a deep, passionate kiss on those perfect crimson lips.
By the stars, they shouldn't have been apart. Even a difference of opinion on this matter couldn't dampen Sapphire's love for the small warrior, and even if there was no emotional divide between them, the physical one was wrong on so many levels. She'd had to stand for what she'd believed, of course she had - there were many, many reasons why they couldn't start shattering Homeworld gems, most of which involved the fact that Homeworld would only strike back harder against the rebellion than ever before if they started breaking important gems - but she should have taken the time to explain that much to Ruby, rather than just expecting her beloved to follow her lead with no explanation.
And by the time Sapphire had realised that much, it had been far too late for Ruby to pull out of Bismuth's group of dissenters, even if she'd wanted to.
"Yes, I got away. Pearl was curious where I was going, but I told her I just needed a bit of space alone to focus on my future sight, free from distraction. She accepted it."
And more to the point, looking into the future, Sapphire had seen that Pearl wouldn't follow her. Rose's army would remain happily oblivious to the fact that the seer gem had an alternate agenda; especially since she wasn't endangering the cause in any way. Neither she nor Ruby were technically betraying their respective factions, after all, they were both loyal to their own leaders. They were just loyal to each other, first and foremost.
"And I don't forsee any chance of us being found this night. We're safe here."

Sparks flew when Sapphire's lips were pressed against her own. Stars above, this was perfect. She hadn't even needed to ask if it could be done; Sapphire just went for it. It was all she could ever have asked for, really. Kisses from her beloved Sapphire made all the distance disappear, and for that moment she was able to forget everything. She had been willing to believe Bismuth's line of thinking. The rebellion could have been ended so much quicker if they were willing to shatter their foes instead of just making them retreat into their gems. But it had been too late to stop Ruby from going with her heart. They had been apart because of it, and now? Well, words weren't needed. When Sapphire pulled away from the kiss, Ruby just grinned a goofy grin and snuck a quick, warm kiss on Sapphire's cheek. She'd kissed Sapphire back when their lips locked, of course, but the additional kiss just needed to be given. Just to see if she could still surprise Sapphire.
The fact that she'd followed her gut and gone with Bismuth was all the proof the world needed of the fact that Ruby was still unpredictable, of course. But a surprise kiss couldn't have hurt. Ruby was all for doing that much. And thankfully, Sapphire gave the answer she had been hoping for. Only Pearl had questioned where she'd been going, and the thinner Gem had believed the answer Sapphire had given. That was all Ruby needed to know. She smiled a little more, and she nodded a moment later.
"Good, good... I'm glad you were able to make it. I just... I really needed to see you again. To feel you in my arms, a-and just to be with you," Ruby said. One didn't need any sort of future seeing ability to guess that she would have said that. Ruby's words were completely true. She'd wanted to see Sapphire again so badly, and even though she was deeply loyal to Bismuth still her loyalty to her beloved Sapphire came first and foremost in her heart. Much to her relief, Sapphire confirmed a question she hadn't even asked yet. No one would find them. That made her feel so much better about the whole thing. Ruby knew the pair of them were risking life and limb by meeting in secret. But it was worth it. It was so worth it.
"Bismuth didn't question it either. I mean, Snowflake wanted to know where I was going but I just said I needed some private training time. She didn't ask after that," Ruby explained. Rubies weren't known for being clever, but Ruby felt a lot of pride for herself in being able to sneak out like this. It wasn't like she was passing important information on to Sapphire. A part of her did consider it, but she couldn't risk her position like that. Bismuth counted her as a close friend, after all. Ruby was willing to take risks, but she couldn't have her leader questioning her.
"So... We're here together," she said. "What do you wanna do?"

Well.
Of course, she probably could have seen the extra kiss coming, if she'd wanted to; but where would have been the fun in that? Sapphire had deliberately avoided looking to the future of what would happen here and now, between her and Ruby, other than to make sure they wouldn't be found. She didn't want to spoil any of the moment by anticipating Ruby - as if such a thing was ever truly possible when her beloved was so spontaneous - so, when the kiss was planted on her cheek, it was entirely unexpected; and Sapphire could hardly help but giggle and blush.
Her Ruby, who could always make her smile.
Her fingers danced lightly across Ruby's own cheek; feeling her beloved's warmth even through her glove, caressing lightly. She wasn't touching flesh and bone, the way a human would have been - gems' bodies were altogether different - but her face was was still physical to hold, still firm beneath her touch.
And as Ruby spoke... well, Sapphire didn't need any kind of future vision to have known that much already. Though outwardly she displayed no sign at all while she was around Rose's base, inwardly, Sapphire's metaphorical heart was screaming non-stop. She needed her beloved Ruby with her, in a way that was so deep, so internal, that it felt like a physical ache to be so far apart. She couldn't ignore it, she could only pretend that she didn't feel it, knowing that her allies believed Garnet to be gone for good. And this schism was such a risky business that Sapphire didn't dare enlighten them otherwise; she had seen, very briefly, a future where that had happened, and she knew it wouldn't end well.
"Oh, Ruby... I know. I feel the same; I've been completely consumed by my need to see you again."
She swept her bangs back from her face, to let her see Ruby properly. Her tone was still touch stoic, and one might have felt inclined to question her words; but the look in her single eye told a different story altogether. There was absolutely no hiding the deep longing held in that brilliant orb, even as it sparkled like a jewel as it caught the moonlight. Ruby was absolutely everything to Sapphire, the most important thing in her life, and being split up for so long... of course it was silently tearing her apart.
And moments like this were so precious, too precious to waste.
She smiled at Ruby's next words, moved back a couple of paces, held out her hands in a clear invitation to dance.
"Do you need to ask?"
They'd have to unfuse and talk at some point, true; they couldn't spend the whole time together. But for now... even just being close together didn't feel quite intimate enough. Sapphire longed to be joined to her beloved again, even for just a few moments.
"I just want to sit and enjoy being with you. Maybe stargaze. But more than anything... I want to be Garnet with you again."

Ruby's eyes shone like stars when she saw Sapphire brush away her bangs to reveal her eye. Oh, she had missed looking into that beautiful blue eye. It was perfect... Just like the Gem who bore it. No one else could have ever convinced Ruby that there was any other beautiful Gem in the world. She only had eyes for Sapphire, and that was all there was to it. She had missed this so much... Looking at Sapphire, being with her, holding her chilled form in her arms and just being with her... All of it. Like Sapphire, the ache of being apart was terrible. It was something she couldn't dare speak about in front of Bismuth, Snowflake Obsidian, or anyone else for that matter. They all believed that Garnet was gone for good, and she didn't dare to even think about mentioning this. Bismuth was pretty strong in her belief that Rose's faction was wrong, and if she knew that she was still seeing Sapphire it would have ended badly. So the secret was kept, and both of them got to be happy for a little while in the time they had together.
She watched as Sapphire took a couple of steps back, and a big goofy grin formed on her face as she realized what Sapphire was doing. That was an invitation she didn't really need to think twice about. Dancing with her beloved Sapphire was all she could ever have asked for. What was more, Sapphire listed off the various things they could do. Stargazing was among Ruby's favorite, and of course... Forming Garnet. An elated gasp escaped Ruby and she practically bounced in place at that idea. She'd been dying to form Garnet again. She missed being her so much and being that close to Sapphire, too. Now they wouldn't have to even think about it.
"Yes! Yes! Definitely being Garnet again!" Ruby squealed. But dancing first. They always had to share a dance when they were together. She didn't know why, but Ruby just thought it felt right. They would dance, and for a little while it would be like nothing was wrong. No distance between them, no schism between Crystal Gems... Just the two of them the way they were meant to be. So, Ruby moved to join Sapphire and took hold of her hands. She was gentle, of course. Ruby would never dare to hurt Sapphire. She mattered far too much to Ruby to even dream of such a thing.
"I really missed being Garnet," Ruby admitted. The dark red blush formed on her cheeks, and she had to laugh a little bit at her excitement. She was sure that Sapphire was just as excited to form Garnet again.
One step... Two steps. Ruby knew the dance they loved well enough by that point to take the lead, and they began to twirl in a circle like they had before. It would start a little formal, as always, but once they got into it then it would become more fun. The smile on Ruby's face grew warmer still, and her eyes focused on Sapphire's. Stars, Ruby was lucky. How had she ended up with the most beautiful, most wonderful Gem in the entire galaxy? She'd never know the answer. But she did know that she could be a little smooth when she wanted to be. Now was a chance to try it.
"You know what the one good thing about all of this is? When we're here together like this, I get to look at you. And that's all I ever wanna look at. Except when we're Garnet."

There was no awkwardness, no fumbling for their positions, as Ruby moved in close, took her hands. They'd come such a long way from the first time they'd intentionally formed Garnet; when there had been a distinct spark between them but neither had really completely known what they'd been doing. That had been a tentative experiment, and there had been small amounts of uncertainty from both of them, whereas now...
Now look how far they'd come. The motions were easy, effortless; of course, the steps started out slightly formal, but that was all a part of it. They were already swaying ever so slightly as they moved; forward a few steps, back a few steps, in perfect sync with one another. By this point, Sapphire knew Ruby almost as well as she knew herself - and vice versa - so she didn't even need to look at where they were moving, where they were putting their feet; her gaze was fixed solely on her beloved's face. Ruby's blush was nothing short of adorable, and Sapphire smiled softly to herself at the sight - even as her own cheeks darkened a couple of shades too.
"I did, too."
Garnet, after all, wasn't just the pair of them combined; she was something uniquely special in her own right, even more than the two of them. She was such an intimate experience for the two smaller gems, and she had been out of existance for far too long already. But here, right in this moment... they were but a few small steps away from her existing again. All it would take was for them to reach the point where Ruby would pick her up and twirl her around, and there would be absolutely no stopping the cotton-candy fusion from coming back into being.
Though if they didn't reach that point immediately... well, where was the harm in dancing like this a little longer, first? Garnet would form before the night was out, Sapphire had absolute certainty of that - a certainty that had nothing at all to do with her future sight and everything to do with the pair's intense love for one another.
Uncontrollable little giggles escaped her as Ruby spoke again. Their dancing didn't slow in the slightest, but by this point Sapphire only had attention for Ruby; and there was no hiding that the crimson gem had won her over all over again. As if every little gesture normally wasn't already enough to remind the seer of everything she loved about the other, moments like this, where Ruby proved herself as smooth as anything...
Well, consider her fallen in love with Ruby more and more, all the time.
"Well then," she spoke through her laughter, unable to keep a straight face. "I hope neither of us needs to look where we're going anytime soon, because I can't take my eye off you, either."
And their dance was picking up speed; the two of them were moving in perfect unison, spinning gently, in absolute harmony. With or without that usual final twirl, there was no doubt at all that Garnet was only mere moments away from forming once more.

That was the sound Ruby loved to hear. Sapphire's giggles were melodic, and her face... Just everything else about her was perfect. She was the perfect Gem, and she'd given up everything just to be with her on Earth. They were essentially doing the exact same thing so they could meet in secret during the whole schism going on. Maybe they were just the world's riskiest pair of Gems. She'd never know the answer to that much, but Ruby did know this. She loved being able to make Sapphire laugh. It was a hard thing to achieve, especially when Sapphire could just predict what was going to happen, but she loved when she was able to actually pull it off. Maybe she was a smooth ruby after all. Most rubies might not have been able to make such comments as effortlessly as she did. Even so, she knew one thing with absolute certainty. Sapphire was, and always would be, someone she adored. And she couldn't agree more with the blue Gem's sentiment. She hoped they wouldn't have to look away from each other while they were dancing. Really, though, that was something that never happened. They always locked gazes with each other when they formed Garnet, and it was so effortless now that there was no denying it was impossible to look away. No one else would have thought so, but it was.
"Don't worry," Ruby said, "even if we did, I'd never take my eyes off you. You're perfect, and wonderful, and... The most beautiful Gem in the galaxy. And I'm so lucky to have you." Her dancing picked up speed, and she knew what came next. All she had to do was lift Sapphire into the final spin. With her strength, though, this was something that was all too easy to pull off. Her gem glowed brighter as she started to perform the maneuver, and she put her trust in her partner. She was sure that Sapphire was doing the same, of course. There would be no fusion at all if there was no trust between them, after all. That was something they had discovered was a fundamental part of the whole experience. Love, trust, and everything in between was what made this whole fusion thing as perfect as it did. No one else could claim that they had the same sort of bond with their partner.
It wasn't long before Ruby's own laughter started to fill the air. She loved this so much, and soon they wouldn't be separated at all. Soon, they would be one Gem once more. They would be the multi-colored fusion they had created on accident quite some time ago, and that was a wonderful thing indeed. Finally, the final portion of the dance came. Ruby's body was engulfed in light, and she let herself mingle with Sapphire's light when the time came. Their gems would swirl and seem to dance together as the light got brighter and brighter, and two laughs that once filled the air mingled into one. What once was a mix of Ruby's and Sapphire's would become a new, yet familiar, voice.
Garnet was back.
The multi-colored fusion landed on the ground where Ruby and Sapphire had once stood. In the past, Garnet would have stumbled a bit after initially forming. Time had changed a lot, and it had given her the confidence and ability to hold herself without fear. Her arms, which would have been out in front of her in the past, wrapped around herself once more. Three eyes closed, and a huge smile worked its way across Garnet's face. Her laughter continued all the while.
"It's so good to be back," Garnet said. She just felt so right right then. Like there was absolutely nothing wrong in the entire galaxy. In her heart, though, Garnet knew what was going on still. She had about as much knowledge on what was happening as Ruby and Sapphire, after all. Garnet wasn't about to do anything more than what she had been brought back for, though. That was enjoying herself, of course, and making sure that nothing went wrong. Now that it wasn't just future sight, though, Garnet could see the differing possibilities. That was something that, in the past, she had needed to adjust heavily to. Now it was a natural part of her being. Garnet wasn't complaining.
First things first, though. Ruby and Sapphire had wanted to stargaze, and Garnet was going to do just that. So, the cotton candy fusion moved to the perfect spot and seated herself. Her arms moved away from herself, and her smile grew fonder.
"...The stars are always so much more beautiful when I look at 'em like this," Garnet said. Was it Ruby speaking through Garnet? Probably. Her gaze did trail away from the stars for just a moment, though, so she could look at the palms of her hands. Two gems where there used to be just one for each Gem. It was perfect. Even though her appearance largely said otherwise, Garnet felt perfectly symmetrical right then. She felt balanced... Whole. That was just how it was meant to be.
"I missed this so much," Garnet murmured. "I know I could never forget how great this feels, but... I really missed this." She wished it could last forever. There was a possibility that it could, but... No. It wasn't worth a risk like that. Besides, that was just a possibility. Not what was destined to happen. Still, it was a nice thought.

Stars. Galaxies. A vast canvas that stretched into the distance, as infinitely as the possibilities of the future.
And the future was a web of possibilities. At one time, Sapphire would have never believed it; there was, she would have said, only the one path of unchangable fate, a path before her with no end, but also no deviation possible. One long road into the inevitable. At times, when on her own, she could still slip back into thinking about the world in those terms.
But for Garnet? For Garnet, nothing could be further from the truth. There were hundreds upon thousands of possible routs into the future, easily as many as there were distant stars and galaxies out in the vastness of space. There were very few certainties; it was all paths and possibilities. At first, it had fascinated her - neither of her components had ever imagined anything like that kind of vision. For that matter, while she had mastered her future vision now, it still did fascinate her.
She fully intended to take some time contemplating the possibilities of the future before she unfused. But for now, she was just enjoying the experience of being herself again, after far too long.
She leant back on the grass, folding her arms across her chest - though keeping her palms turned upwards, where she could see them. Trifold eyes scanned slowly across the inky blackness above, taking in the thousand tiny pinpricks of shining light. Many of the stars were familiar, ones she could have seen easily from Homeworld, when she had lived there as two seperate gems; but from the vastly different perspective that Earth offered, they looked entirely new. A light sigh of contentment was released by the fusion.
The feeling of wholeness, togetherness, that came when Ruby and Sapphire were in such perfect harmony... she loved it. The differences of opinion that had at first split her apart seemed a million miles away; nothing could possibly be important as just being here and being herself, together again. It was entirely possible that no other gem loved life as much as Garnet did; her awareness of being made of pure love influenced her perception of existence in a way that she didn't think anyone else could fully grasp.
The night was young; and she could stay together, just lying like this, enjoying the world around her, the stars above, everything about existing, for a very long time yet.
((ooc: since I figure Garnet's going to be just enjoying being herself for a while to come yet, should we sort of time-skip ahead to the point where she reluctantly has to separate again? Because while this is pretty cool, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up writing her point of view for long xD;;; ))
