I believe my reasons for this have been stated in the other thread but GAAAAH THIS PAIRING MAKES ME SO MAD.
Also most anyoneXanyone in TDC, with the exception of Painted DollXThe Scorpion. Shipping isn't really hinted at in it, and I don't see the need to pair people off in it. The only reason I really ship Painted DollXThe Scoprion is because it's pretty much canon.

Incest aside, I just don't see this working. I realize Shilo probably reminds Nathan of Marni, but I don't think that would drive him to want to be with his daughter in that sort of relationship.

Ooh while I'm on the subject, TamaraXThe Scorpion. YES I said I shipped it earlier but I kind of take that back now- she's too trusting for it to even work and he...well...I don't wanna spoil it but let's just say he took advantage of her greatly and it didn't really work out in her favor. Plus I don't even think they're meant to be shipped in the first place xP

I'm trying to look up pictures of Faline for deer reference and I'm getting steadily annoyed because this is 1/3 of what's coming up. I HATE this couple. Ronno's a jerk and Faline wouldn't go for him. Doesn't anyone remember the ending of the first film when he tried to steal her away from Bambi?!
BambiXRonno doesn't work for the same basic purpose: Ronno's a JERK. Plus, I generally dislike hero/villain ships, and this is a prime example of one of those hero/villain ships that wouldn't work out, no matter which way you look at it.
That Bambi fandom makes me so irritated sometimes...

i always saw Ronno and Bambi as kind of a draco and harry relationship. One's an egotistical prick and the other well..is awesome.

It's EVERYWHERE on DeviantART, it's even more popular than Ronno/Faline (which I think I was mistaken when I wrote about it. I'm pretty sure I was thinking of Animated Romance where they had Ronno/Faline on there). It just doesn't work at all.

Speaking of which, Asch/Luke.
I admit it was kind of a guilty pleasure ship in the past. I remember reading one fanfic that specifically was Asch/Luke centric and being okay with it. But... on the basis of being a pairing, it just doesn't work. Asch hates Luke with every fiber of his being because, in Asch's mind, Luke stole everything that ever was his from him. His home, his family, his name... everything. From the time after Asch escaped Van and found out that a replica (Luke) had taken his place, Asch came to despise him. He only tries to work with Luke later in Tales of the Abyss because he believes to some degree that his idiot replica can be useful, and ultimately Asch dies buying Luke and the rest of the party time to get to Van to kill him.
IF either of them felt any kind of emotional attachment for the other, it probably was Luke. Asch most likely felt nothing beyond hatred and eventual acceptance of Luke's existence. Luke, at least, wanted to try and make amends and befriend Asch. That's it, at least in my eyes. I could never see Asch/Luke as a pairing. I just can't. It just doesn't work for me.
...The Tales series fandom is also notorious for shipping best bros with one another, see Yuri/Flynn, Luke/Guy, and Asbel/Richard, but I shall not rant on them today and why I don't ship any of them. I'll spare you all and just leave it at the Asch/Luke rant since it's relevant to the whole 'they hate each other so they must love each other' thing.

Jafar/Jasmine ~ One-sided, it's semi-canon. Mutual...extremely unrealistic and a tad bit overused. Jafar/Aladdin ~ ^ same as the above statement (scratch the 'one-sided' part) Mozenrath/Rapunzel ~ what? Mozenrath/Jasmine ~ It's almost as overused as Jafar/Jasmine and just as implausible. Kopa/Vitani Ronno/Bambi I'm not sure this counts, but... Canon Character/Mary-Sue ~ So I'm browsing through Fanfiction.net and I see at least twenty rewritten scripts. Unfortunately, plagiarism is only the icing on the cake... That's all I can think of for now.  |

Jack Frost x Rapunzel-I cannot cannot can not! Stand this ship! Ok, on one hand i can see why they think they would look good together, but Rapunzel just seems too serious and well, level headed for Jack. Jack is meant to be a split between chaos and discord! Yet, some how people see this as like a new fallen pairing and as a guardian angel! Why is that?! Someone tell me!!
