After witnessing "Derpygate", The Yamino incident, the Yelling At Cats incident and many more "incidents", I have lost faith in the Brony side of the fandom. Not all Bronies are bad, but the bad ones are more vocal and make MLP fans look bad. I'm embarrased to say I'm a fan now. There's a nicer group of MLP fans. The collectors. The ones that were into MLP since the old gens. I've been in that part of the fandom for a while. (Yes, there is a huge divide between Collectors and Bronies. It's the Bronies' fault. -_-) The Collector side of the fandom is a lot nicer. I've hardly seen any drama, and when I have seen some, it was minor. ^^ The Collectors are on MLP Arena and MLP Trading Post, if you want to try that part of the MLP fandom. |

I wouldn't really call myself a collector because really, I'm not, but I have been with the series' long before FiM. Summer 2009 I had my first ponysona because I watched My Little Pony Tales. To be honest, I sometimes wish it never escalated to this level of pop culture. It saddens me.

Yelling at cats?? What was that?? But yeah.. mlp (fim) has the most ridiculous fandom I've ever come across. Like something I've noticed, some people on dA who used to only draw original chars or different fandoms.. even went to DELETING their entire galleries just to replace it with pony art  And some people even completely leaving their old friends just because they're not as "into mlp" as they are.. just disgusting. /sorry for the rant/ |

Nemo - Yelling at Cats, from what I understand, was a rapper within the MLP fanbase that said a lot of hurtful and offensive things in his raps about other people and (I think) non-bronies. I think recently he also tricked a mentally disabled person into doing all these things because he would 'become a mod' or something on Equestria Daily on a livestream and everyone saw it. Needless to say, he's not got a lot of fans at the moment because of his actions and he's rather infamous because of it. Anyway, I have to agree with everyone else. I didn't mind the fandom all that much at first since I tended to ignore a lot of what's going on, but now... a lot of the MLP fans seem to overdo it. Vulpy said it better than I did, though, so I'll leave it at that.

Pretty much all fandom's I'm a part of now have that one nasty corner that makes me want to light things on fire e_e;;; Big Bang Theory, Brave Little Toaster, dalmatians, ponies, Sonic (ish, not really part of it anymore), and so many others....
Except MAYBE Guardians of Ga'Hoole. I haven't found any creepy or especially dumb people in that fandom... yet. And Fire Bringer but it's such a tiny fandom it barely counts XD
I think we can ALL agree that there are weirdos in every fandom we wanna drop-kick off a cliff.

PEWDIEPIE'S FANDOM IS HORRIBLE.
Which sucks because his actual videos are pretty funny :c
Also there's that one part of the Homestuck fandom which just... yeah e_e
All I think of is eridan squawking out wwehs and nyehs and all the other characters being really badly characterized when I think about that part of the fandom god it's so terrible.

I agree with you on both things Mo. Pewdie's fans keep harrassing other Youtubers when they throw or ignore that gold statue in Amnesia. "YOU THREW STEPHANO!!!". -.-
And they also accuse them of copying Pewdie. >_< It's soooo annoying.
And the Homestuck fanbase...The amount of times I've been flamed for saying I dislike Homestuck is amazing. I've also been harrassed by people who keep saying "You should trrryyy it! Read more!".

Eugh Pewdie's fanbase is like... one of the worst I've come across. Sonic and general anime are still the worst ones though  Ugh. I hate when Homestucks flame others for not liking it. It's not everyone's cup of tea and I accept that. I'm not gonna force anyone to read it or anything XP |

@mo -- "Too many fancharacters"? Wow Mo, ouch.. XD Can't help it! I love making Dal fanchildren although I am starting to get tired of them.. As for worst fandom in my opinion.. My Little Pony... I think it's ridiculous how popular the new show is. It ISN'T that great =/ I don't understand what elevated it to this level of LOVE AND TOLARAET nonsense. I like the show myself, it's well written and interesting (not so much this past season..) but does it REALLY deserve this much recognition? Is it REALLY as AWESOME SAUCE as bronies make it out to be? I don't think so... plus the.. r34 101 Dalmatians is another fandom I don't care for..... with the exception of rare few who actually come up with good stories and fancharacters, most of them are straaaaange people.. |

Lion King fans. OMG where do I start. It's not like dalmatian fans where people argue about pairings and such. It's characters existing or not. Like Mheetu, Kopa, whoever and whatever. Fan characters, semi canon characters whatever everyone argues over them. There's also a shit ton of character and art theft in this fandom. I've had shit stolen from me and I know people here have too. It's a pain in the ass when you look at someone really brilliant's art and then are like "omg they stole/traced/copied that from someone I know." It's aggravating.
And Scarecrow fangirls. Good GOD these people make me fucking ill. I'll admit, I love him to death but i think a majority of his fangirls get his personality straight. He's batshit crazy and a sadist. I'm not saying he's devoid of emotions but for petes sake ladies calm the fuck down.
His fanbase is the absolute WORST.
