Love the Series, Hate the Fanbase

Also with me, the X-men fandom. But...yeah. Hate the fandom, hate it, only interested in my own stuff. Although I have several issues with most of the movies anyway. But I still love the characters, and my AUs, and kinks and all of that. I just...hate the fandom because I get REALLY picky and squicky over things that in my mind, make NO sense and have no business existing.


And the crossovers...I know I've ranted SEVERAL times but...seriously. Some things you just...can't crossover. I don't want to see any "baroque" period crossovers, I do NOT want to see ancient Greek/mythology AUs, unless it's Stelios from 300 (who Fassbender played), I HATE "no power" AUs...or fairy tale AUs or...MOST AUs. WHAT is the point of taking something SO out of context that you lose the essence of what it is? Why not write your own fucking novel, then?

Lion King? I haven't been involved in the fandom besides faving nice fanarts, but geez.. that sounds crazy o.o now I feel weird having made fc's -some neon colored lions- for it using crappy ms paint bases ewe;

I can only assume I must have missed the worst of that fandom in the two years I spent on the Lion King Fan-Art Archive, then, because I never heard of anything like that (save for some stupid drama over similarities between original species) until I discovered more of the internet as a whole... either that or said drama was going on all around me the whole time and I was just naievely oblivious XD;;;
