I never put these things in the right place >.< Anyway 2nd gen ponies trapped in a nightmare realm. I hope I got this right, Tex ^^'' Just place who you're playing at the top.
Posting Order ZeeStitch Kitexa Partner/Angel Phantom ZeeStitch as: Morpheus (Chrysalis/Shining Armor) Cesare (Rarity/Fancy Pants) Rodeo Rose (Braeburn/Rainbow Dash)The echoes of the darkness blew around them like icy wind. Morpheus' raven mane was blowing in said darkness causing the older colt to shut one of his emerald eyes tightly and clench his sharp teeth in a grimace. He moved through the blackness as if he was walking through six inches of snow, ears whipping back as he searched for a sound. "Where ARE we?" Cesare's voice echoed in the air as the white unicorn moved next to the prince. His teeth were clenched as well. "It's so hot!" "Hot? What's wrong with ya? It's cold! So cold!" Rodeo Rose moved herself across the plain and tumbled forward, face stuck in the dark. "UGH! COLD AND STICKY!" Her ears perked. ""Ah can't see NOTHIN'!" "We'll find something soon," Morpheus said, "C'mon guys. Let's move."

Tex: Apple Buck (Apple Jack/Braeburn) Lapis Lazuli (Rarity/Fancy Pants) Sprite (orphan) Sky Light (Fluttershy/Hoops)
(XD it's all good; the details of the realm haven't been entirely worked out yet)
"Ah don't lahke this." Apple Buck murmured, peering through the darkened atmosphere, heart tight in his throat. He hadn't..actually he had but that wasn't the point...questioned the Dream King when they'd been pulled into the Nightmare realm but here, now, the bi-eyed stallion was beginning to wish he had. What did they know about subconscious haunts? They--he and the children of his mother's friends--were just kids. Who's bright idea was it to send kids to fight a war?
Glancing at the unicorn by his side, he found she wore a similar expression; more easily seen from the faint glow of light around her horn.
"I don't either." Lapis Lazuli agreed, azure gems darting about. They came to rest on the two younger fillies in front, and narrowed slightly. "Girls, don't wander too far; we have no idea what's out there."
Sprite--another unicorn with yellow fur and violet hair, scowled, still staring straight ahead. "That's why we gotta keep moving, she muttered, to which the pegasus fluttering frowned.
"But we need to be smart about it." She half-chided (half, because even optimists like Sky Light fell prey to apprehension) looking back over her shoulder at the older ponies. She remained speaking to Sprite. "Otherwise they might sneak up and--"
"Sky Light's right." Apple Buck cut in, stomach squirming slightly. "Better we all stay cautious."

"Morpheus," Rodeo Rose said moving her ears forward, "Ah think ah might hear sumthin' up ahead."
"How do you hear anything over this racket!" Cesare shouted loudly. Morpheus shook his head and squinted at the darkness. He might have seen some shapes up ahead. He tilted his head and neck slightly then pushed himself forward on his navy hooves.
"Keep moving you two," he said, his octive slightly louder than Rose's but not yelling like Cesare, "Hey! Is there anyone out there?"
"Don't yell that!" Cesare panicked, "There could be some kind of beast out there waiting to eat us!" Rodeo Rose gulped and took her rope out of her saddle bag. The pony utilized her special talent and tossed it forward into the darkness. She wasn't sure if it'd hit someone but it'd give her some kind of idea of the space in the blackness.

"AAH!!"
Flailing, a surge of panic seized the Sky Light's chest. "Whatwasthat?!" She sputtered, clawing (as best one could with hooves) at her neck. Sprite looked up sharply, NOT concerned for the filly, merely surprised by her cry. Before she could speak, Lapis caught the pegasus with her magic, floating her down towards the group.
"Are you alright?" The blue-maned unicorn asked, dark eyes concerned. Heart hammering, Sky Light's wings folded, pawing a little gentler at the...rope?...around her neck.
"I-I think so." she answered as Lazuli's focus shifted, levitating the rope off from the shaken filly. "Startled me, that's - that's all."
"I'll say." Sprite cut in, hoping her (not concern, NOT concern) wasn't too evident. "What kind of moron lassos in the dark?"
"Lasso?" Apple Buck's turn, brow furrowing beneath his golden locks. The situation caught the awkward boy off guard; voice returning only now. "What's a lasso doin' in the Nightmare world?"
Sprite's bright eyes remained fixed on Sky Light. "You're in here, aren't you?" she muttered, subtly checking to make sure the younger filly WAS alright. "Maybe other ponies followed us in or something."
"Don' be ridiculous." Buck answered, but even as he did, he wasn't so sure. Morpheus hadn't said there weren't others...neither did Cliff. But if they sent other ponies, why wouldn't he tell us?
As though to answer the question, a sudden voice to match the abrupt "attack" drew the quartet's attention.
There WERE others--or one, at least--here.
The younger fillies exchanged glances, then looked up at their older counterparts, who also met each others' eyes. Did they reply or...
'We probably should,' read Lapis' eyes, to which Apple Buck nodded.
"H-Hey, whoever y'all are! Come out! We don' mean ya no harm!"

"Ah'm pretty sure ah hit sumthin'," Rodeo said opening one of her eyes, mouth full of her lasso. Morpheus muddled up the courage and stepped forward. The chill was getting to him. It would bite at his flank and the heat it up just as fast. She gritted his teeth as he moved through the thick ground. His ears flicked upwards, blinking bright green eyes.
Before him he saw a blonde male pony. His ears twitched. He'd never seen this pony before nor anypony like him. He gave the male a glance over before realizing he should have talked. After all somewhere this dark, a pony like him might have seemed scary. What with the crooked horn, devilish green orbs and sharp teeth. He raised a hoof. "Hi!" he said loudly, "Hello! My name's Prince Morpheus! This is Rodeo Rose and Cesare!"
Rodeo Rose jumped towards Sky Light and picked up her rope. "Ah didn't realize y'all was a pony, ah wouldn't have tried ta lasso y'all like you were a sheep." Rainbow maned filly gave a nod, tipping her cowboy hat forward. "Are y'all as lost as we are?" Cesare meanwhile hid behind Morpheus' legs.

Two things passed through Apple Buck's head. Three, actually.
1) The pony-creature-thing calling himself "Morpheus" DID in fact look like something out of a nightmare. Before he spoke, anyway.
2) that his name was freakin' Morpheus but he didn't look a thing like the Dream King
3) That rainbow-maned pony's accent. Sounded just like a member of his family. But he'd never seen her before. Not that he knew everypony in his family (Appleloosa, mostly but beyond it, no idea) but still. Odd.
"Ah'm Apple Buck." He greeted, smiling awkwardly at the unicorn-creature. You should bow or something, thoughts chided--he said he was a prince, right? Still...this didn't really seem like the place for formalities so he refrained, settling for introductions instead. "Nahce t'meet y'all." He nodded to Lapis. "This here's Lapis Lazuli." A nod at Sprite. "That's Sprite an' yer friend already met Sky Light."
From her place on the floor, Sky Light turned, waving. Sprite, on the other hand, kept her gaze on Rodeo Rose.
"Maybe you shoulda thought of that before you did it. How hard is it to say "hello," huh?""
"Sprite." Lapis whispered--ever-present maternal tone dripping from her words. "Not now."
The younger unicorn ignored her.
"Seriously, what kinda tree did you fall from as a foal, huh?"

"Now how in the buck was ah supposed ta know it was gonna hit somepony?" Rose said, tilting her head up slightly. The second part didn't go unnoticed by the female who's eyes narrowed towards the other ponies. "That's rude," she clucked, stomping a hoof then raising it, "Who d'you think you are? An' fer yer information it wus an' apple tree. But ah just broke mah leg ah didn't-"
"Alright, Rose, that's enough," clucked Cesare who moved to the group, "Cesare, nice to make your acquaintance girls." Cesare turned to Lapis. "You have the most brilliant shade of hair, miss. Your mother must take good care of it. Or you, either way."
"Now that the introductions are through," Morpheus said, turning his head back towards Apple Buck, "Would you maybe mind telling us where we are?" His tone wasn't demanding, it was kind but worried.

"Thank you," Lapis smiled brightly. "Mother use to tend to it when I was a filly, but I take care of it myself, now." So nice to meet a gentlecolt. They were few and far in between, it seemed.
Sprite, meanwhile, made to reply, but Apple Buck's abrupt reply again cut her off.
She'd confront Rodeo Rainbow-whatever later.
"Ya mean y'all don't know?" Buck's head tilted, bi-colored eyes blinking, confused. Huh. Well, they definitely weren't nightmares now, but that they didn't know...
"Yer in the Nightmare realm. King Morpheus--uh--" a look at the hybrid. "--diff'rent Morpheus--musta brought you here lahke he did us. Kahnda odd that y'all weren't aware of it."
Then again, it was odd THEY were here at all, so...who was he to judge?

"Mother usually takes care of mine," Cesare said softly. If Lapis listened quite carefully to the tone of his voice and the way he was standing she might have guessed he was breaking out the fashion and beauty talk because he was terribly nervous about the darkness around him. His rump would give his special talent and the reason for his blabbering, the bright red pincushion shining even in the darkness on his white flank. He offered a sheepish grin to her.
"King Mo-" Morpheus' ears dropped. Hopefully this colt he spoke of wasn't related to him in any way. If it was true then his gut could twist more than it already was because of his blasted mother. He shut his eyes tight before opening it again. "I don't mean you any harm," he said trying to paste a smile on his face, "My mother might be evil but my father's the most righteous pony in Equestria, at least I think." He grinned sheepishly before shaking the smile off his face.
"We just kinda woke up here," Rose explained, "Sheeeeyooot, we was on our way ta the Grand Galloping Gala. Night after this one. Then we woke up here!"
Morpheus' orbs narrowed darkly. "Is that why we're feeling all these odd sensations? Cold, hot, sticky, rough?" He decided to stick by Apple Buck. He seemed to match him the best though Rodeo stared at him, eyes narrowed for a few brief moments as if she was thinking about something.

Femme's smile softened, understanding gracing her features. A sign of her own special talent--gold and blue scale a stark contrast to her own pale flank. "It's a bit frightening, isn't it?" Lapis said gently, re-lighting her horn--give them a sense of security. "This place. I know I've second guessed my own shadow once or twice." Not that there were any shadows to see in this particular section, but every nightmare differed.
Apple Buck's expression faltered, his own kind of understanding setting in. Neither of his parents were evil, per say, but his birth had not been a traditional one, and they both still suffered from it. His father, especially. "Ah know. But ya gotta unnerstand this here's the place Nahghtmares live. Gotta assume th' worse or yer toast." He paused as the stallion--and then rainbow filly--took turns speaking, taking everything in. Once or twice, he glanced at his younger friends; both listening (though Sprite seemed distracted.) Fine by him. The less she talked, the easier it was to assert leadership.
He was by NO means a leader but someone had to take a stand and besides Lapis, he was the eldest one here that knew what was going on. And heck forbid he put a lady in danger.
"Yeah, all that's normal. It's different fer everyone, dependin' on what haunts ya." He cringed. Once or twice, the odd bite or burning sensation scraped across his blank flank, reminding him of his deepest insecurity. Besides his inheritance but he hadn't known that until a few months ago.
A pause.
"What are y'all starin' at?"

Cesare almost face-hoofed. With Rose being an earth pony and Morpheus unable to do any kind of magic, he was the only unicorn there. He lit up his own horn which graced a little more light. "Thanks for the reminder I'm a unicorn," Cesare said, chuckling nervously. The blue and violet sweater hanging around his neck was adjusted by his hooves. The light shone some more on the companions they'd made. Morpheus looked around while Rose, mouth open a little, moved her way towards Apple Buck. Her eyes squinted as she stared at him. She checked his flank. It was blank. But that wasn't why she was checking his coat.
His coat was in a similar color to her's and her father's. He was blonde, a lot like her father's. Her nose scrunched before she was almost on top of his legs, examining the colt. "Ah'm starin' cuz y'look awful familiar," she clucked, "Like somepony ah saw in Appleloosa. Or a distant relative on mah Daddy's cousin's side a th' family."
"I have no control over her being rude," Morpheus said with a roll of his eyes, "Sorry though."
"Ah ain't bein' rude!" Rose said, "Ah'm just givin' mah opinion!"

"It's fine." Lazuli answered, a thread of amusement in her tone. "It's easy to forget yourself in a place like this."
Sprite, meanwhile, at last caught attention, and huffed. "You are being rude." She muttered, which earned a shoulder-prod from Sky Light.
"Be nice, Sprite."
"GIRLS." Apple Buck groaned, glaring hard at them both. Sky Light blushed, and her ears drooped. Sprite glared back, then silenced.
"Ah got mah share o' problems, too." He offered Morpheus. "No hard feelin's." Now... Bi-eyed stallion turned to Rose, her previous statement confirming his suspicions. "Y'all are from the Apple family, ain'tcha? Gold's a common coat in our family. Pa's got a coat lahke mahne. So's mah aunt. An' Ah live in Appleloosa. Maybe we crossed paths before an' didn't realahze it."
Although you'd think he'd remember rainbow hair...

Cesare smiled. He felt at ease with this mare. She reminded him so of his mother except without the hysterical side Cesare often scoffed at while his father tried to calm her down. He stayed quiet though when Rose shot the girls a dirty look before turning back to the colt. She nodded brightly. Her ears shot up, tail swishing back and forth as she excited stared up at him.
"That MUST be it," she said, "Ah'm from Appleloosa too! How come ah ain't seen ya before?" Morpheus was still carefully looking about. No magic, no changeling abilities granted to the colt but he still had a sense of danger which was turned on like a deer smelling the air for danger. His eyes narrowed as they continued to talk.
"Mah Momma's from Ponyville," Rose explained, "Ah live there now too, sorta' ah mean ah visit my brother there all th'time." She beamed thinking of Static. How worried he must have been. They were gonna miss trying out for the Rodeo and the Wonderbolts!

Like Cesar, Lapis, too, took a liking to the colt. He reminded her of her father, albeit more easily flustered. "Cesar, right? Am I correct to assume you're from Canterlot?"
Apple Buck, meanwhile, shrugged--as well as a pony can shrug--awkward smile growing uncomfortable at the..familiar ring her words held. "Mah Ma's from Ponyville, too. But Ah ain't makin' plans to live there...ahh..." What else? Oh, right. "Mah daddy protected me an awful lot when Ah was a foal. Ain't really th' lahfe o' the party, if ya cain't guess. Don' really go out much, less I gotta work the orchards an' all."
Having decided the elders were best left to conversation, Sky Light's eyes wandered about until they noticed Morpheus' trailing gaze. Fluttering to her feet, she trotted over to him. "Somethin' out there?" She asked, bubbly tone etched in caution.

Uh... assuming this is open to all? If it's private, I'll delete my post ^^;; Partner: Bright Amethyst (Rarity/Fancy Pants) Sunset Blossom (Pinkie Pie/Apple Bloom)(image for reference: fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/241/7/b/first_meeting_by_the101stdalmatian-d5cvcfv.pngThey're older here than I've RPed them previously; I'd say about 14/15) "I don't like this, Sunset," cobalt eyes darted nervously as their owner tried to take in some detail of the darkness around them, and failing miserably. All he could see, other than Sunset Blossom's auburn tail bouncing just ahead of him, was darkness to either side, and the colt had already stumbled over a few times, not being anywhere near as sure-footed as his companion. Once or twice, he'd almost lost sight of the filly altogether, and while she had stopped to let him catch up, he could tell she was getting impatient with him. "C'm ON, Amethyst." Sunset abruptly stopped as she turned to face him, the colt almost running straight into her. Amethyst's cheeks flushed, though he wasn't sure the female could see that given the current lack of light. "Are all stallions this wimpy, or is it just you?" Where as a younger colt, Amethyst would have burst out with an offended retort, now he just glanced down at his hooves. He was far from the bravest male around, and he knew it - he'd grown up in safe Manehattan after all, not in a warzone -, but he still hated being reminded of the fact. The filly seemed to realise she'd said something wrong, for she looked a little uncomfortable for maybe half a second before shrugging it off. "Wehll... we should keep movin', right?" "Do you even know where we're going?" "Haven' a clue!" the filly replied cheerfully, making to start forward again, before pausing. "You can keep up, right?" she asked with some degree of concern tinging her accented voice. Sunset did actually like the colt, and not just because he was the only male she'd ever encountered, so she didn't want to loose him in the inky blackness. She watched as Amethyst's gaze remained firmly fixed on his hooves. "...not really, no," he confessed. "I'm not used to this stuff, I keep losing sight of you..." A frown caressed Sunset's face before the obvious solution presented itself. "Not a problem!" she announced, abruptly siezing the end of Amethyst's tie in her maw and marching off again, yanking the male along behind her. Perfect solution; now there was no way they'd lose each other. And, as if to make things even better, she could hear voices now, too! That meant there had to be somepony else out here! She abruptly changed direction, accidentally almost jerking Amethyst off his feet in the process, heading towards whoever was talking.
