And now more Pitch-vomit: The dark ages last from the 5th to the 15th Century. I'd still like to have him be post-Roman, though, so I might make him a soldier in the 8th Century, during the reign of Charlemagne. (holy CRAP I never thought I'd hear that name again >> *studied medieval history in high school. And again in College.) It's 300 years into the Dark Ages so an early death on his wife's part makes sense, but it's before the plague breaks out and things REALLY go downhill. Charlemagne was a great leader, so Pitch probably served under him. And then the darkness took over...and he furthered that hopelessness and despair.
OR
I set him in the 4th Century, when the Roman empire still reigned--during Constantine's era. To my knowledge, he's the last "Great" Emperor and the dark ages follow shortly after. Plus, guess which "saint" lived during this time, as well? *hint hint, Russian accent* It's quite possible, as the Nightmare king, Pitch spent centuries overrunning countries with fear; Tooth might not even be a guardian at this point. (I'm thinking the order goes: Sandy, North, Bunnymund, then Toothiana last)
*Bunnymund can't become a Guardian until Christ's death (religious or not, it IS documented history but I can't remember which (BC) He dies.) I think the idea--the hope and new beginnings--floated around for some time (like, 2nd Century, onward) but I'm not sure when Bunnymund would gain the modern "embodiment" of it. I'd like to think after St. Nick, but I'm not sure. (It could go either way; he might be an older guardian than North and North being the leader because he knew Pitch before he became the Nightmare king)
But anyway: the end of the Roman empire, especially if he fought during that final battle (and I forget with whom it was) that ultimately crushed it, would REALLY stick with Pitch.
But I want him to serve under Constantine, too, so I need to recheck those dates.
In any case, at one point, he'd lose his daughter to what he'd think was the nightmares but she got away some how, was given a better life and later grew up to become mother Earth (though when that happens, I'm not sure.)
St. Nicholas is probably going to be a fusion of a Saint and a reluctant Warrior. He will fight to defend what he loves dearly but that wonder and joy he brings to others of lesser fortune is his main driving force. He's a man of peace, and when that peace is threatened, then the swords come out.

and sooo much Pitch vomit. I kind of like both ideas. though the roman one seems more like him to me. I don't know. something about him just seems roman to me. As for North. OOOOOH i love it!!

also i loved the idea of bunny becoming a guardian after Jesus died and such (since it makes sense)
i kind of want to come up with a cute story of tooth before she became a guaridan along with sandy.

^_^ Thank you. I don't normally bring religion into what I do, but I just find it fitting for some reason. Given what Easter symbolizes religiously and what Bunnymund stands for. I just need to figure out if I want to make him a Pooka ,like he is in the book, or something else.
It'd be fun to do those two! Sandy's the oldest..you could have a LOT of fun with that.
And Tooth, I would love to see what you come up with for her ! We know she's at least spent 400 years as a guardian, but beyond that, nothing at all xP

Not at all. I think she'd have a normal name. I personally would love a more normal/historical approach than the one given in the books XD; you wanna give her a normal name, go for it. I approve |

this is just the rough draft, still working on it! not sure how to get the tooth palace involved, but its a work in progress. (input please?)
Tatyana or “Tanya” as people called her back when she was alive, spent most of her life on the road. She traveled around with her mother who was a healer. She grew to love the sites of the world, enjoying and observing it through a different set of eyes. The young girl often would entertain children with dancing and telling tales of her travels. The children loved it and would often be upset when their families had gotten their medicine or advice from her mother. Tanya was always so upset when they had to part ways, so she gave each children a small silver coin for them to remember her by.
Wherever she went, she would have stories to tell and memories to share with the children of the world. She loved every second of it. Seeing the children’s smiles and their requests for more and more stories.
It was at the age of 15, that Tanya became the tooth fairy. Otherwise known as the guardian of memories. Her death was something she tries not to talk about but it was revealed that she went in to a burning building to save two children that were almost impossible to save. One boy and one little girl. Tanya managed to get them out just as the building collapsed on her.
As her life faded from her eyes, she saw the moon and gave a small smile thinking ‘I protected them and their memories. That’s all I wanted.’
What seemed like hours or years, Tanya awoke to find herself in a new body. Rainbow feathers covered her body and in the reflection her eyes were now pink. She thought it was strange but she thought it was something that she could have gotten used to.
She was just like her favorite animal. The bird. Wanting to tell others that she was okay, especially her mother, she was about to run out of the building when the moon spoke to her. Telling her of what she was and her purpose. Finding it odd that the moon talked to her, however Toothina, or now known as the Tooth Fairy did not question it.

Oooh...was she like..kind of a gypsey type person? I like this. I think She's a bit older than fifteen, though XD;; (was under the impression Guardians don't age) but it's up to you.

well according to the information they don't but she looks around fifteen or 18 so i went with that.
and yes, she is/was a gyspy. she just seemed to have kind of a gypsy feeling to her.
