Didn't know what else to call it. Just for me and Kitexa to brainstorm some stuff for Rise of the Guardian headcannons and what not. plus for anyone else who has seen the film
Mine:
Jack Frost was abused by his father long before he died, often his mother and sister were never around when it happended, the other people in the small town he grew up in just assumed he got the brusies and scars from play fight with kids or being reckless like he normally did. He never did try to get others to help him, he was afraid they wouldn't understand or that he would be taken away from his sister and mother. The beatings were worse every time and not just phsycial but mental as well. Jack's father often called his son things like "trash" or worthless. And that he would be better off dead no matter what happened. Jack tried not to believe that it was true, and just accepted the beatings.
As cruel as it was, it ended one day when his mother came in just afterwards, finding her son in brusies and her husband standing over him.
It was all a horrible flash to jack that he never wanted to remember. So he hid it deep within his memories hoping to never think about it again.
---
The reason why Jack never saw it when he recieved his memory teeth from Pitch was due to the fact that hte nightmare had taken it from the case. Having sensed a dark prescence and painful memories from it, Pitch decided to keep it and use it against Jack if he had the chance to. After all what better way to make Jack see that the Guardians didn't care for him at all then show him that they couldn't protect him from his own family. He was determined to change Jack from the loving boy that kids loved into a "broken shell filled with nothing but despair."
