Based in part on the current canon Sugar Rush RPs and in part on Patchy's AU. Just sticking it in here in case it's not totally canon with the events that happen in the SR roleplays.
Phantom - Vanellope
Vanellope was uncertain of how long exactly Candlehead had been gone. She had noticed it, unlike some of the others who were inclined to brush it off, and had grown worried about it. The players may not have seen a difference in the game without Candlehead, but to the girl who considered the candle-wearing racer her best friend (outside of Ralph) it had been lonesome. So, Vanellope decided to venture forth into the GCS to try and locate her friend. She'd asked Ralph to search as well, hoping he would come up with something, and the search had begun straight away after she had decided she couldn't take not knowing what had happened. The search dragged on for ages before Vanellope finally heard word of a game that she hadn't considered. Princess' Quest. It might have been a stretch, but Vanellope thought it would be worth looking into. Alone.
"Don't worry, Stinkbrain. I'm the President. What's the worst that a bunch of girly Princesses can do to me?"
With those words, Vanellope had decided to venture forth into the unknown. She bolted through the portal leading into the game, hardly giving Ralph an opportunity to wish her luck, and she soon found herself inside the game. The little President looked in awe of the game. It was unlike anything she had seen before, especially not like Sugar Rush, and she felt a little overwhelmed looking at it. But, she didn't want to linger there with her mouth agape. Candlehead was waiting for her to find her and Vanellope didn't want to keep her waiting any longer... Assuming the other girl was in this game at all.
"Candlehead? Hey, Candle! Are you here??" Vanellope called. She hoped her friend was there. It would have been so much easier on the young President if the search didn't have to last any longer.

Patchy: Candlehead/Lady Candelaria Princess Quest' side character (just for the first post)
Young girl's ears perked up at the shouting, taking her cautious steps the young girl peeked out of the bushes. It was not Candlehead, it was a young girl with pointy ears and blue eyes. Coming out of hiding, she blinked in confusion at Vanellope's strange attire. "Um, hello, are you looking for someone?" she asked, her voice quiet as if something might come out and attack. "You, you are new to the game yes?"

Vanellope looked up to the girl who had approached her and gave a nod as a smile blossomed across her face. Finally! Someone was going to help her look! At least, that was what Vanellope hoped. If this other girl had any idea where Candlehead was, she would appreciate any information that could be given. The little President of Sugar Rush stood up taller and briefly brushed down her clothes in an effort to make herself appear at least a little better. Once that was done, she finally decided to speak up. Better late than never.
"Yeah. Yeah, I am. I'm President Vanellope von Schweetz, and I'm looking for my friend Candlehead. She's been missing from my game for a while now, and I really wanna know if she's all right. You can't miss her. She's short, like me, has green hair and eyes, wears a cupcake candle hat... Have you seen her?" Vanellope asked. Hope danced around her tone and flickered in her eyes. The little President didn't want to go back to Sugar Rush that day without having something to show for her search. If she came back empty handed again, she was certain the others would never let her live it down.

The young elf girl's eyes went from happy to scare. Glancing backwards before returning her stare to Vanellope, she nodded. "I have..i have seen your friend." she replied quietly. "She came here awhile ago, looking for a place to stay. If you want, i can show you where she is...but you might not like what you see."

"That's great! Take me to... Wait. What do you mean 'I might not like what I see'? Candle's my best friend. She's gonna be really happy to see me!" Vanellope exclaimed. She couldn't understand what she had heard the other girl tell her. Why would Candlehead give her a reason to not like what she saw? She was her best friend, or at least one of her best friends. Surely the other girl was just the same as she had always been. Vanellope knew Priscilla and Taffyta had cut her deeply with their words, as she'd been there to witness it, but... Could she really have changed after leaving Sugar Rush? Could she have...
Vanellope shook her head to rid herself of the thought that had crossed her mind. No. Candlehead couldn't have gone down the same path as Turbo. She just couldn't have! Not the sweet, innocent little doof of a friend. She was too kind to have wanted to take over another game... Wasn't she? Vanellope certainly thought that was the case. She hardly saw any reason for Candlehead to want to take over another game. This wasn't even a racing game as far as Vanellope was aware. It was a... A Princessy game! Why would Candlehead have wanted to go there?
"...Just take me to her. I wanna see my friend again."

The young elf nodded. "Okay, i trust you just please heed my warning. It is not safe." without another word, the young elf girl started walking down the pathway towards the castle that overlooked the game. Worry was still in her eyes. She hated this more than anything. Newcomers. Because of one newcomer, their game had changed.

Vanellope ran after the elf girl and stayed silent as she followed. The whole game was strange to her, really. Having grown up in Sugar Rush and after being unable to leave for fifteen years, any game would be a new experience to her. This game, however, was radically different. Vanellope couldn't put her finger on why that was beyond it being a Princess game. She didn't even know what the premise of the game was. All she knew for certain was that the title seemed to indicate that it was about Princesses and a quest of some kind. Not a lot to gain from that, though.
Questions swirled around in Vanellope's head as she walked. How long had Candlehead been a part of this game? Why had she chosen this particular game to seek shelter from? Would she want to come home again after seeing her friend there? Vanellope didn't have answers to any of these questions. All she knew for certain was that she was being led to the girl she had been looking for and that, for some reason, the girl taking her there seemed scared. Vanellope wondered what could have happened.

It only took only a few minutes to reach the castle. It was much like the castle at sugar rush there were differences such as stone statues along the walls and no guards. sighing, the elf girl pushed open the door before pointing inward. "The girl you seek is in there." without another second the girl took off running.

"...Thanks for that."
Vanellope could only watch as the other girl ran off. Apparently, something that Candlehead had done really had scared that poor girl. A part of Vanellope wanted to know what it was, but at the same time she decided against asking. If Candlehead was inside then she would be able to provide answers that she needed. That's all there was to it. Upon sucking a breath of air in, Vanellope marched inside the room with her head held high and determination evident in her features. One way or another, she was going to get Candlehead out of this game and back home where she belonged.
"Candlehead? Hello? It's me... Vanellope." Vanellope said. The room echoed a bit as she spoke and her walking slowed a bit. Something about the large room she was in gave her the creeps. Vanellope's eyes wandered around the room, remaining on the mirrors she could see scattered about, and she wondered if maybe there was some kind of significance to them. Maybe there was something about them related to the gameplay? Vanellope didn't know for sure.
Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching. Her body stiffened and flickered blue with a brief glitch spasm. She could only hope that it was indeed Candlehead approaching, because if it wasn't then she didn't know what she was going to do.

"I am afraid you are mistaken young Vanellope. There is no Candlehead anymore." Green haired pigtailed girl came along in. Darkness surrounded her in an almost crushing way. The smile that had once held a doofy friendly grin seemed more...deadly but lady-like. "Welcome to my game. How do you like it?" green eyes scaled the walls of the castle and then to her once racing friend. "You must be tired, prehaps some refreshments?"

For several long moments, Vanellope didn't reply. Her eyes remained solely on Candlehead, or at least who she thought was Candlehead, and confusion flickered through her eyes. That couldn't be the same girl who had run away from Sugar Rush. It just couldn't! She was so much more... Well, Vanellope couldn't put her finger on what it was that made her different. It was a bit disturbing to her, though, especially with the darkness that seemed to surround the former goofball. Vanellope gulped and tried to steel her resolve again. She had come to get Candlehead out of this game, and she wasn't about to leave until she did so. It just might have taken a bit of convincing on her part.
"Well, I haven't seen much of it so far. From what I've seen, though, I can say it's... Different. Not like Sugar Rush, that's for sure. But I gotta ask something. What are you doing here? Don't you wanna come home?" Vanellope asked. She was convinced that it was indeed Candlehead she was talking to in spite of the other girl's words and appearance. Sprite changes could be done, as she had seen what Turbo had done to disguise himself for those fifteen long years, so maybe it was the same principle. But if it was...
No. Stop that, Vanellope! Candlehead didn't go Turbo. She's still Candlehead!

The green haired girl blinked as if surprised by the question but sighed. The sound of her new shoes seemed to be the only sound in the room as she looked at Vanellope and made a gesture for her to follow. "You should know the answer to that question Vanellope. Why i left? They wanted me gone." she replied. "The people that i once called friends...." shaking her head the new girl looked at her. "They did not want me, i only gave them what they wanted."
She smiled a tiny but slightly crazy smile. "Besides i am happy here. People seem to like me more." the smile became almost crazy looking. "I am not needed in that silly racing game anymore."

"But... But I missed you." Vanellope said at length. She had followed Candlehead wordlessly until the last statements about no one wanting her around. Vanellope had come to consider the green-haired girl as one of her closest friends within Sugar Rush. How could Candlehead have just thrown that away in favor of fleeing from her problems? It seemed odd to Vanellope, but she didn't want to say it. She just wanted to convey the fact that she had missed hanging out with her and wanted her home.
"It wasn't the same back there without you. I mean... Yeah, the other racers are nice and all but they're not the same as you. You're... You were one of my best friends. Don't you remember?" Vanellope asked. She was hoping to jog the other girl's memory. If anything, she hoped that it would be enough to make her want to come home. No mention of Taffyta, Priscilla, or anyone else by name. All that mattered to Vanellope was mentioning herself and trying to remind her friend of the fact that they were friends when she had last been in Sugar Rush.

Confusion filled the girl's eyes for a moment. "Friends? Why would you want to be friends with me. Why would anyone want to be friends with me. After all, i mess up everything. No one really wants me there." she shook her head. Her eyes lit up. "You should stay here with me!" she said happily clapping her gloves in delight. She wouldn't dare touch Vanellope not unless something made her really mad.
"Who better to run the kingdom with the Princess than another princess?"

"Wait. Whoa, whoa... Princess?" Vanellope asked. That was just plain weird in her opinion. Candlehead wasn't a Princess, and Vanellope wasn't either. Well, technically she was but she chose to parade around with the title of President instead because it suited her better. Hearing Candlehead use that term so casually just struck Vanellope as wrong. Why would she be using it? She wasn't royalty and she had no reason to think she was, did she? Vanellope shook her head, taking a moment to back up a pace so she could get a better look at her friend. Her appearance really was throwing Vanellope off.
"You're not... I'm not a Princess, Candlehead. You know that. I'm a President. And I'm not abandoning Sugar Rush." Vanellope said. Her tone was firm and her eyes narrowed a bit. This couldn't be Candlehead. The character before her may have shared traits with her friend and may have sounded like her, but the way she was acting was way off. Candlehead would have never suggested such a thing. Vanellope was positive of that much. Whatever had happened in the time that she had been away from Sugar Rush, it clearly had effected Candlehead's mind. Why would she suddenly think it was a good idea for the pair of them to rule over a game they weren't even from?
"I came here to bring you home, and there's no way I'm staying here to repeat history. We don't belong in this game. You know that..."
