"Gghh--ughhhh!"
One hand shot to his mouth, the other to his stomach. What the...the hell just happened? Forcing himself to breath deeply lest he lower himself further in front of this child...time lord...creature, Loki rolled over onto his back, gaze sucking in the grayish sky above them.
Huh...that hadn't been there before. In fact...
"Are we...." he gasped, trying not to rock his unsettled stomach, "...are we - on Earth?" This certainly looked like Thor's beloved planet...but different. When he'd last paid the mortal realm a visit, he'd passed through Germany and, begrudgingly, New York. This was neither.

Emily lay on her back on the rocky shore and breathed in deeply, her heart was hammering against her chest and she could feel the pangs of a headache forming behind her temple. A layer of sweat had formed on her brow from th exertion of pulling, not just herself, but herself and a Norse god half way through time and space. Now she understood why Time Lords used a TARDIS instead of doing themselves.
"The city of London. Capital of the United Kingdom." she noted how out of breath she sounded but she smiled nonetheless "My home. We're half way to where I was taking us but I'll have to recover for a moment."
When she was certain that she could stand, without depositing herself on her rear end, she stood up. Th wind whipped her hair from her face and she glanced around, just in case anyone had seen they're arrival. Nothing was worse than some humans who freaked out and let the whole city know what had just occurred.

"Oh." Loki answered, only half listening over the wave of nausea still threatening to take over. "Alright...alright then." Lying idly like they were was not something the god of mischief was accustomed to; he was close...closer to his intended target and delays never did more than irk him. Of course, should he try standing now it may not...go well on his part, and thus, reluctantly resigned to his shaken body until it could pull itself together. At least he wasn't the only one with these after-effects; perhaps the girl wasn't nearly as strong as he thought.
Indeed, she said this was her home, didn't she? How could someone living in this world be a god?

Emily ignored Loki behind her and continued to glance around. There seemed to be no living souls around, which was a relief because, when it came time to leave again, they could go without incident. She let out a small breath of relief and sat down beside Loki again.
"You're holding together better than most." she noted, her eyes on the river instead of Loki "Then again, I've never taken a 'god' with me before so I guess today is a day of fir--"
A sound caused Emily to stop mid sentence, her grey eyes widening. In an instant, she was on her feet and searching again. She knew that sound. She knew it so well.
Vworp. Vworp. Vworp.
"We've got to move. Now!" Emily hissed to Loki.

With a slight jolt, Loki sprang to his feet; he was not a man to take orders but the violent apprehension in her voice told the god of mischief it was better to run first and ask later. Pushing away the last threads of queasiness, facial features sharpened, eyes and ears snapping into battle-mode; force of habit after years spent following his br--Thor around like a damn shadow.
But he wouldn't fight today. His powers were still regenerating and unlike that brutish blond buffoon, Loki was a man who thought before jumping headlong into the fray. Green eyes locked with Emily's, a silent consent for her to lead them away from here. These were new and uncharted territories...he could do with a tour before taking control for himself.

There was no way she could travel now, she hadn't fully regained her strength. They'd have to hide for the momens be abuse she new that if The Doctor spotted her then they'd both be headed for a higher security jail than the one she had just busted Loki out of.
She crouched behind a large rock, her grey eyes jumping about, trying to discern where exactly the noise was coming from. The TARDIS was coming. It would materialise any moment now and she had no idea where. She mentally smacked herself for being stupid enough to take them to London, had she not realised that there was a possibility that they would run into her father? Her father that she'd attempted to kill at one point! If he saw her then all her plans were going to turn to dust.
The blue box appeared not ten feet from where they had been moments ago, fading into existance. When the familiar whirring had stopped Emily watched silently and prayed that Loki would remain silent as well.
(Sorry about this, but I'd really like for The Doctor to be involved somehow with this.)

(XD I don't care. I'm all up for whatever. I'll just warn you I know almost nothing about Dr. Who XD;;; )
Loki was no fool; the tension rolling off Emily's being was so strong it was almost putrid. Stay silent or be found...and it seemed, simply through observation that discovery by whatever lay inside that blue box-type-thing would not end in their favor. Still, that ever-present thirst for knowledge prodded the young god's mind, a flurry of questions bubbling to the surface. What on Earth WAS that strange device, where had it come from, how did it just appear out of nowhere like that, who or what traveled in such a vessel and perhaps most immediately related to himself and the current situation; why did it put his...companion (for lack of a more suitable word) on edge?
He glanced over at the girl, studying her face, before apprehension returned his gaze to the unidentified device, waiting with a tightening heart for its pilot to appear.

Emily didn't spare a glance at Loki, she was too concerned with the danger that was far far too close for her comfort and she was unable to take them away yet without risking serious injury or even death. She would have to hide her time, wait and pray that she wasn't spotted.
The TARDIS door opened and out stepped The Doctor. He looked no different to the last time she had seen him, brown hair which spiked up in all directions and a long brown trench cost over a brown pin-strip suit and converse. Not the person one would immediately assume to be the saviour of the universe countless times over. Then, just behind him, was herself...the other Emily followed swiftly after their father and both deep in conversation and judging by the looks they wore it wasn't a pleasant one either.
They both stood, talking for a moment, completely unaware of her and Loki's presence not feet away. Her saintly other half was gesturing wildly and talking at high speed, although she couldn't quite catch what she was saying, their father placed a hand on her shoulder and replied, this seemed to calm her somewhat and she gave a small jerky mod before quickly hugging him. The Doctor smiled at her and then they parted way, her other half walking a short distance away and then disappearing and The Doctor walking off and leaving the TARDIS standing on the shore.
The breath Emily was holding was released as a small sigh of relief. Although she knew what would be coming, she was pretty sure that Loki had clearly seen the other Emily. She sensed an oncoming headache.

A long silence followed before Loki managed to turn his head.
"What...was that just now?" the dark-haired man asked in a quivering voice. He was still firmly believed Emily was void of godly power but thine eyes do not lie, and he had CLEARLY seen another her conversing with the man--a man who looked, dressed and behaved very similarly to the humans of Earth--that came out of the blue box. Another Emily...one he doubted was doppelganger conjured by magic, as he was able to do. If she wasn't a double, then what? A twin? A...
"Time...you said you were a time lord." He continued quickly, his voice still searching for his strength. "What....what does that mean, exactly? What are you, really?"

"I'm a Time Lord. I've told you nothing but the truth." Emily replied standing again.
She had told him the truth, granted she did choose to omit certain details but she hadn't lied to him. She was a Time Lord, on of the very last in existance, but she hadn't told him that she was after another Time Lord. Her other half, the other Emily. She refused to recognise the other girl as herself, they were two entirely seperate beings who happened to be identical in both appearance and genetics.
And she owed the other girl a fall.
"That girl is the one I'm after. No doubt she's probably ran off to another dimension to collect her little pet. Judging by the look of things, she's just informed our father that I'm around."

Loki twitched. He loathed being lied to. "Yes, you said that." He answered, gaining a bitter edge. "but you failed to mention you've a look-alike roaming about and I think that detail is one best explained if you and I are truly going to "help each other."" Help each other...is this what she wanted help with? "Taking care" of a carbon-copy-clone or whatever the hell that other Emily was? The one she kept saying she "owed?"
What was he really getting himself into?
"I don't relish being lied to." the god spoke up again, spitting out his words as though each left a bitter taste in his mouth. "The last man who did that nearly caused a war due to his idiocy." He stood taller, attempting to command the authority he once held, even if he was but a fraction of that power he'd had the last time he'd visited Earth. "I want the truth this time, Emily. The whole truth and nothing BUT."

Emily's expression was cold. She glared at Loki hatefully then her eyes jumped to the TARDIS and back again to Loki. She'd backed herself into a corner, her high ground was slipping out beneath her feet. She contemplated simply leaving Loki here in London. Dumping him in a place that was so alien to him would have been a fitting punishment if she didn't need him so damn much.
So she blew out an angry breath and began.
"The biggest misconception about time is that it is strictly linear. Cause then effect. That is a lie. It was the truth that Time Lords learnt, that was what let them master time itself and because time isn't linear, it can often create parallel universes. Most Time Lords can prevent themselves from being copied into a series of distant universes but since Galifrey fell and the Time Lords disappeared there has been no one to stop these alternate universes, do you follow me?"
Without waiting for a response, Emily carried on regardless.
"What you just saw was an alternate universe version of myself, corrupting the time stream."

Oh. Well....
That was certainly being honest. Whether or not it made sense was another matter entirely. Several interrogative comments prodded his tongue but Loki swallowed them down; he was the intellectual one of his fa--compared to the others he'd been cursed to grow up around. Should he ask such nagging questions, would not that be a blow to his brilliance?
"I see." The green-eyed god remarked coolly, and see he would the further he delve into...whatever it was Emily had planned. There was no law denouncing time travel's probability. It could be a legitimate truth, could it not?
...and if it were true...
"Enlighten me, Emily." Loki started again, words tinged with an eager spite "if this "time stream" babble is true...then traveling backwards and forwards in time may very well be possible, am I right?" Backwards, forwards...a glimpse of the future...alteration of the past...
The wheels in his head began grinding against one another excitedly. He could fix this, couldn't he...he could fix what went wrong the day he came to Earth...

Emily looked at him for a moment before she started laughing. She pressed a hand to her mouth to try and stifle the sound but she couldn't help it. Loki was so eager, did he honestly think that he could...? Emily couldn't help but laugh.
"I like you." she declared between laughs "You're funny! You honestly think that you can go back and change everything? That's hilarious! I should have came for you a long time ago."
Emily continued to smile as her laughter slowly died away. Poor, misguided god. Did he think he was the first to think of that? Did he not think that her people had also thought of that? Still, it was the eagerness in his voice that made it so funny. He really beloved that she could do that. Poor fool.
"You honestly think that we didn't think of that? In all the ages that Time Lords have governed over the laws of time, after we had seen civilisations and empires born and live and die around us, do you not think someone would have thought that they could change it all? Go back...a tweak here...a small alteration there. Warn people of what was to come. The past has already been written into the universe. What is done cannot be undone. The Time Lords have made very sure of that. Don't you think that if I was given the chance that I could go back and prevent my own race from dying? Protect my home from being destroyed? But I can't. No one can."

The pale god's face flushed scarlet, his insides cringing as her laughter dug into his brain. So much for appearing intellectual. "Don't laugh at me." Loki spat, hands forming subconscious fists. "Twas an honest mistake to one naive in the ways of space and time."
Naive. Sure. Why not? Better than "foolish," "misguided," "arrogant, idiotic, child--"
He cleared his throat, forcing the color away from his cheeks in attempt to reign his composure back in. "Fine then; time travel's an impossibility." A little warning would have been nice to prevent myself from looking like an ass.
