Little candlehead ran through the halls, taking the sour candy to the prisdent. Priscilla stood there, without a care in the world. Candle glared, wasn't her sister a little bit worried? After all Vanellope was in charge, shouldn't she be a little worried.

It wasn't easy for poor Sour Bill to keep up, being so much smaller and relatively older than the racers, but somehow he managed. He supposed it was his concern for Vanellope's well being that was spurring him onward. In the back of his mind, he was praying that it was nothing serious. Perhaps she had just exhausted herself with the tour she had mentioned wanting to give. After all, Vanellope had never given a full tour of Sugar Rush to anyone before. Not even her odd cross-game family had gotten a full tour from her, so Sour Bill was trying to convince himself that that was all it was. She had just worn herself out and she would be fine. That was all... or so he hoped.
When he and Candlehead finally reached the point where Vanellope and Priscilla had been left, Sour Bill felt his heart stop. Vanellope had since fallen to laying on the ground with a sort of pained look in her eyes and looking rather worse for the wear. Her body was still glitching visibly, though it appeared to have gotten to a less frequent rate, and he could have sworn he saw droplets of sweat on her forehead. Needless to say, the little President did not look well.
"Vanellope!"
Not Madame President. Not Princess. Vanellope. Sour Bill generally preferred to refer to her by a title, but in this particular situation concern outweighed the desire to uphold formalities. With her in such a state, he could toss aside those formalities and refer to her by name. He wasted no time in scurrying over to her and gently placed his jellybean hand against her forehead, all the while trying to figure out how she could have ended up in her present state. That was where Priscilla and Candlehead would come in... once he could determine what was wrong.
"She's burning up. But that would mean..." Sour Bill hesitated. Had Vanellope's prior status as a glitch effected her immune system? He didn't want to declare that she had been infected by a metaphorical bug without knowing what had happened. "Candlehead, what was she doing before this happened?" he asked.

"She was giving Priscilla a tour. And i went along because well...she's my sister. We got to the...to the big drop near the gumball machines. Well, she decided to give it a try to...you know glitch us over the gap..." Candlehead replied, rubbing her arm nervously.

That glitching of hers, Sour Bill had said once before, would get her into trouble sooner or later. He had feared this because of the risk of viruses. Now, he found himself looking one in the face. Where it had come from was beyond Sour Bill's knowledge since Sugar Rush had been reset what felt like an eternity ago, but it appeared as though Vanellope had caught a virus. This one didn't seem to have effected Candlehead, which was fortunate because the last thing Sour Bill wanted was for a virus to run rampant throughout all the racers in Sugar Rush, but it was still very concerning.
"I fear she may have caught a virus. A nasty one, from the look of it." Sour Bill finally said. He could see fear spark briefly in Vanellope's eyes as he finished the statement, but didn't know the reason behind it. Finally, Sour Bill's attention turned to Priscilla. She had stayed silent and didn't appear to be all that concerned for Vanellope's well being, and that fact bothered Sour Bill. Why did she seem so nonchalant about the fact that Vanellope was suffering?
"Do either of you have any idea how she could have caught it?" he asked. Candlehead was a clean racer as far as Sour Bill was aware. He'd never been inside the game's code himself, so he had no idea of anyone's status as far as their coding went. But if glitching had been what happened directly before Vanellope started to feel bad, then maybe there was something odd going on in relation to coding.

"Beats me. She really seemed fine." Candlehead replied, before turning to her sister. "What about you Prissy."
The girl finally seemed to finally to get back to reality. "Oh Candle, why do you insist on being so childish. I don't know how she got it, really, i don't. I've only just got here."

Sour Bill let a soft huff escape him, trying his hardest not to appear terribly annoyed, before moving his hand away from Vanellope and frowning a bit. The virus had to be transmitted somehow, and all he knew was that she had glitched prior to it making itself visible. That, in Sour Bill's mind, meant that one of the two green-haired girls might have had a hand in it. He didn't want to openly blame either of them, though. Priscilla was new and Candlehead was an innocent, kind racer. Neither deserved to be blamed just yet.
"We should discuss this at the castle, where Vanellope can rest and try to recover. One of you-"
"I... I can... walk..." Vanellope squeaked. She forced herself to her feet much quicker than Sour Bill could try to keep her down, though wobbled and swayed visibly upon doing so. Vanellope didn't want to admit that she was scared because she had apparently caught a virus. She wasn't scared that what happened before was going to happen again. She wasn't! And to prove it, Vanellope wanted to try and make her way back to the castle without help. The fact that she was swaying and wobbling just from trying to stand up and stay in one place, though, wasn't really inspiring.
Sour Bill frowned a bigger frown; he hated it when Vanellope was stubborn, and it was irking him in particular right then. He didn't have the heart to snap at her, though. Instead, Sour Bill decided to continue his order. "One of you, please help her back to the castle. We can continue speaking there." he said.

"I'll do it." Candlehead offered. "Priscilla maybe you should go back to your kart and you know practice for the race. You can see everything else on your own right?" the girl asked. The fellow sister just shrugged. "Yeah, sure that's fine. Hope you feel better Vanellope."
Rolling her green eyes, Candle offered a hand to Vanellope, not to mention a shoulder for her to lean on if she needed it.

Vanellope's body glitched again, this time rather violently, just as the offer was made. It wasn't Vanellope's intention, though. She had no real control over the glitching at that point and was stubbornly trying to remain conscious of the world around her. When the glitching settled down, however, she appeared to have given in. Vanellope took a wobbly step forward and accepted the hand Candlehead offered, proceeding to put some of her weight against her friend's shoulder moments later rather unintentionally.
"I'mnotscared... I'm not..."
In spite of how hard she was trying, Sour Bill could see the fear etched into her droopy brown-green eyes. He wanted to tell her that everything would be okay, that she could just sleep it off and go back to racing, but he knew he would be lying if he said that. In all honesty, he had no idea how to even rid their President of the virus. Sour Bill was beginning to wish that someone from Vanellope's strange family could come and help. Maybe Felix's hammer could... no. No, it couldn't. It could only fix external damage. Not internal.
"Let's go, before she gets any worse." Sour Bill finally said. He offered a brief farewell wave to Priscilla, who he was beginning to wonder about, and started to lead the little Presidential procession back to the castle. He walked a little slower than usual in order to make sure Candlehead could keep up with Vanellope's weight added to her own.

Candle smiled a tiny smile at Vanellope. "H-h-hey things will be okay.." she said. "I...I promise, and if I'm wrong let me be hit by several sugar seekers at the next race."

"I feel like doodie, Candlehead." Vanellope finally managed to say. It was probably the most coherent thing she could hope to say right then, and it was somehow enough to bring a very slight smile back to Sour Bill's face. If she was capable of saying that, then he had a feeling she would be okay. She'd be back to her old self in time. As it stood, though, Vanellope was having to lean heavily against Candlehead for support as they trekked back to the safety of the sugar cube castle and looked as though she could probably pass out if given the chance. If kept talking, though, it was likely Vanellope could stay conscious. Or he hoped that was the case, anyway.
"You'll be able to rest soon. We're almost there." Sour Bill said. Maybe he could get information from the one suffering from the virus. Vanellope would have been touching both Candlehead and Priscilla in the process of glitching them across the canyon, so maybe she had felt something off in the coding. For the moment, though, the task at hand was to focus on getting her to her bed and then figuring out what they were potentially dealing with.
The castle was in sight by that point. Almost there.

Candle couldn't help but laugh at Vanellope's word choice. Leave it to her to find something comical to say in admist everything. However, it was still bothering her that Priscilla didn't seem at all bothered by this little delimena. She sort of understood, after all, her sister had only just gotten there. Maybe she had dealt with this kind of thing before and just decided to tune it out.
"Yeah, we're almost there."

"Good... that... that's good." Vanellope murmured. She could feel the tickling sensation coming back in her throat and coding, and she swallowed hard to try and keep from coughing all over Candlehead. This only made her feel worse than she had to begin with and she ended up making a sort of gagging sound before finally giving in to her desire to cough once more. Inwardly, the little President was cursing at herself for using her friend as a cough shield. She could only hope Candlehead was okay with it to some degree.
Vanellope did stop coughing after a bit, which was fortunate, and offered a sort of apologetic look to Candlehead moments later. Fear still lingered in her eyes, though. It was the fear that history was repeating itself. What if, instead of being a glitch, she was becoming a virus that could endanger Sugar Rush? What if it was someone's doing? Someone like...
Vanellope shuddered a little at the memory. Those creepy yellow eyes and teeth, not to mention the grey skin, would forever be burned into her memory. If someone was trying to do what he had done, then she had every right to be afraid. She refused to voice her fears in spite of this. Fortunately, she didn't have to. Sour Bill had opened the doors and was giving a look to the oreo guards that said for them not to ask what was going on at present as he waited for Candlehead to lead Vanellope onward.

Candlehead was careful in moving slowly to where Vanellope could be comfortable. Her eyes wandered a bit, taking in the little details of the castle. Having never been in it before the young racer wanted to take in as much as she could, even despite the circumstances. The castle was beautiful as she always imagined.

Sour Bill followed behind Candlehead, closing the door behind him, and found himself looking to Vanellope again as he walked. He hated to see her suffer so much, especially when he didn't know the circumstances in which said suffering occurred. All he knew was that she looked utterly miserable and scared at present. That fact was enough to make him want to learn what had happened from Vanellope's perspective.
"Sorry I wrecked your sis's tour..." Vanellope murmured. She felt horrible about that, really. The whole time, Vanellope had wanted to make the tour as awesome as possible. She had wanted to have the three of them trek across the ice cream mountain and slide down the rainbow, sugary road of the cave within it. It would have been so much fun! Then something had happened after glitching, something Vanellope couldn't quite comprehend, and wrecked everything. In a way it almost felt like it was her fault. She'd been the one to glitch the two greenies across the cavern, so how couldn't it have been her fault?
If Vanellope were aware of her surroundings, which by that point it seemed she wasn't entirely, she would have seen that they were making their way through the hallway leading to her bedroom by that point. As it was, though, the little President was feeling absolutely awful and could only fully fathom the thought that she felt like a pile of doodie and the thought that she was afraid of potentially being a danger to her friends in her present state.

"It's fine. Prissy Missy can find her way around on her own." Candle replied, using the nickname she had given priscilla when she was little. "All that matters now is you getting better okay?"
